Chapter 688 Where Are Your Hands Going?

"Ryan, you keep playing, I need to reply to a message," Brain said.

Ryan was still focused on assembling his Lego set and responded without looking up. "Okay."

Brian walked out and suddenly said to Harper, "Harper, could you get me a glass of water?"

Harper looked up and saw Brian winking at her, quickly agreeing, "Sure."

Then she turned to Kevin, asking, "Grandpa, do you want some water too? I can get you some."

Kevin, wearing his glasses and engrossed in the most exciting part of the show, just turned his head and repeatedly agreed, "Alright."

He probably didn't even hear what Harper had said.

Sarah couldn't help but laugh.

She said, "Then get Grandpa a glass of water too. Be careful not to slip."

Harper ran out while responding, "Got it, Mommy!"

When she reached Brian's study, he didn't actually have any messages to reply to; he just wanted to get Harper out to ask her a few questions alone.

"Harper, why did you suddenly say those things to your mommy earlier and even mention Benjamin?" he asked directly.

Harper looked Brian's eyes in the eyes, feeling like she couldn't lie.

Brian was much harder to deal with than Sarah; she figured her lie would be exposed before she even finished.

She stammered for a while, unable to say anything.

Brian frowned. "Tell me the truth. Did Benjamin talk to you too?"

Hearing this, Harper looked up in surprise and asked, "Did Mr. Harrington talk to you too?"

Brian nodded. "Yes."

He hadn't expected Benjamin to make two plans.

However, from what Harper had said to Sarah earlier, Brian could guess what Benjamin had told her—to speak well of him in front of Sarah.

It seemed Benjamin really wanted Sarah's forgiveness.

As for what he wanted forgiveness for, Brian couldn't quite say.

If he was just Benjamin, then everything he was doing seemed pointless, but if...

Harper sighed and said with some frustration, "Brian, when Mr. Harrington talked to me, he really reminded me of Dad, and he looked so pitiful for some reason."

So Harper wanted to help him.

Brian's eyes were filled with complex emotions. Looking at Harper, who was deep in thought, he couldn't help but pat her head. "It's okay, the truth will come out one day."

Harper looked up and met his gaze.

The siblings understood each other, seeing their thoughts reflected in each other's eyes.

They both genuinely hoped that Benjamin was Antonio.

Not long after, Harper and Brian returned with water and grapes.

"Grandpa," Harper said sweetly. "This is for you!"

"Thank you!" The TV show had just ended, and the screen was now showing commercials. Kevin was grinning from ear to ear. "Harper! Come over here!"

Harper snuggled into his arms.

Brian placed the washed grapes on the coffee table and said, "Mom, have some grapes. I've already washed them."

Sarah nodded and said to Harper, "Be careful not to squish Grandpa, okay? He might feel uncomfortable."

Kevin waved his hand. "It's okay, Sarah. I'm feeling much better now."

Harper winked at Sarah and picked a grape from the coffee table, feeding it to Kevin. "Grandpa, have a grape! It's so sweet!"

Kevin quickly caught it with his mouth, looking very happy.

Sarah shook her head helplessly and didn't say anything more.

On the other side, Ryan let out a sigh of relief, clapped his hands, stood up, and carefully picked up the completed Lego set from the small table, excitedly saying, "Look! I finally finished it!"

Brian was the first to look and said in surprise, "That part was pretty hard, and you finished it so quickly?"

Harper crawled out of Kevin's arms. "Ryan, you're amazing!"

Kevin and Sarah also praised him. Ryan's ears turned a bit red as he carried the completed Lego house to Harper. "Harper, this is for you."

Harper, looking delighted, said, "Thank you, Ryan!"

When Ryan saw her so happy, his face also lit up with a smile. "I'll help you take it to your room later."

Ethan, who was drawing, looked up from his easel, his eyes shining as he looked at the Lego set. "Ryan, you're so great! Can you make one for me next time?"

Sarah, pretending to be angry, glared at him. "Can't you do it yourself?"

"But I want someone to give me one," Ethan replied.

The living room was filled with laughter, and everyone gathered around to admire Ethan's drawing for a while.

Outside the window, the lights in the villa across the street were dim.

Benjamin didn't turn on the balcony light, his hands resting casually on the railing.

He fixed his eyes on the brightly lit house across the street, where he could vaguely see moving figures and hear occasional laughter.

He let out a helpless smile.

But his mood inevitably turned somber.

He should have been a part of that family, but now he could only watch them from afar, unable to do anything.

He waited until the lights across the street went out before returning to his room to take a shower.

Water poured from the showerhead, flowing down his muscular body and pooling on the floor. He reached for the body wash but frowned as he poured it out.

It smelt strange.

Antonio sniffed it again, finding it overwhelmingly pungent.

These toiletries were prepared by his assistant according to "Benjamin's" previous habits, and the brand was chosen based on Isabella's preferences.

But now that Benjamin had regained his memory, these scents were unbearable to him.

'What kind of taste is this?'

'Both the body wash and shampoo smell awful!' he thought.

He threw everything into the trash and took a quick shower, then came out with a towel wrapped around him.

Benjamin recalled that he never used to wear cologne; instead, Sarah's freshly laundered clothes always had a pleasant scent.

Sarah herself had a similar scent.

It was a light, comforting fragrance.

So much so that every time Sarah finished her bath, he loved to hug her or nuzzle her neck, saying, "Honey, you smell so good."

Sarah, still drying her hair, would helplessly push him away.

"Stop it! My hair isn't dry yet."

When he was still Antonio, he would turn her around, take the towel from her hand, and seriously say, "Don't dry it yourself; let me use the hairdryer."

He wasn't lying and would fetch the hairdryer.

"Lie on my lap, and I'll dry it for you."

Sarah looked at him skeptically, but Antonio's sincerity would convince her, and she'd lie on the couch with her head on his lap. "Just don't make it too hot."

At first, Antonio was seriously drying her hair.

But after a while, things got a bit off. Sarah, eyes closed, clicked her tongue. "Where are your hands going?"
