Chapter 294 Is it because of Alex?

Upon finishing his words, Antonio's grip slackened, and he cast Asa aside like a discarded rag doll. Asa crumpled to the ground, a pathetic sight to behold. Antonio, nonchalant, adjusted his attire and strode towards the auditorium, his steps echoing with authority.

A rendezvous in Mulberry Field?

A sardonic smile tugged at the corners of Antonio's mouth, a deadly intent brewing in the furrow of his brow. He scoffed at the audacity of the situation, eager to see who dared to arrange a meeting with Sarah.

Asa remained on the ground, his gaze fixed on Antonio's retreating figure, his fists clenched in impotent rage. The pain etched on his face was numbed by the seething hatred coursing through his veins.

Ever since their university days, Antonio had been a thorn in his side, a shadow that eclipsed Asa's brilliance wherever he went. Despite being a prodigy himself, Asa found himself constantly overshadowed by Antonio.

Why? Why was everything seemingly within Antonio's grasp?

Was it simply because his surname was Valencia that he could obtain everything he desired? Including Sarah, the woman Asa had met first.

Asa had envisioned a future where he and Sarah were the envy of all, a couple admired for their love. He loved her deeply, willing to endure even the most distasteful tasks for her sake.

But it was all because of Antonio, because of Valencia Inc.!

His glory was stolen, his beloved was taken. How could he not seethe with hatred!

Slowly, Asa picked himself up from the ground, dusting off his clothes with a calm demeanor. His gaze fell upon a flower wreath made of asters and champagne roses lying nearby.

Sarah's favorite flowers...

With a calm yet forceful stride, Asa approached the wreath, his face contorted with hatred. He tore the asters from the wreath, vowing, "Antonio, Sarah, I will make sure that both of you pay the price, and you will know what it means to regret!"

The asters lay scattered on the ground, but Asa's wrath was not yet quenched. He crushed the flower buds under his heel, grinding them into the soil before finally departing.

Meanwhile, Antonio had already entered the venue.

The hall was decorated lavishly, reminiscent of a grand birthday banquet. To the uninitiated, it could easily be mistaken for the wedding of some influential figure.

"Mr. Valencia! You finally came," James exclaimed, relief washing over him.

He had been anxiously waiting at the entrance, watching as a swarm of people flocked towards Sarah. Regardless of whether they recognized her or not, they eagerly handed her their business cards.

Unable to intervene, James could only wait for Antonio to handle the situation.

Antonio, standing at the entrance, scanned the room. His gaze instantly locked onto Sarah, who was surrounded by the crowd. She was wearing a dress he had never seen before, causing a shadow to cross his face.

"What exactly is this Exquisite Encounter?" Antonio inquired as he made his way towards Sarah.

James scratched his head in response, "I received this invitation two days ago. It said there was an exquisite woman looking for a marriage partner. I thought it would be fun to come and take a look, maybe expand my social network. I never expected that this lady would be your wife."

Before Antonio could question her, Sarah had already spotted him. She practically ran to him, her delicate hand instantly gripping his arm as she leaned affectionately on his shoulder. "Everyone, this is my husband Antonio, I don't think I need to introduce him," she said, charmingly addressing the men around her.

"Today's incident was a misunderstanding, and I apologize for any negative impact it may have had on all of you. A staff member from Valencia Inc. will contact you shortly. Thank you, everyone!" Sarah gracefully explained before pulling Antonio away.

"I'm so exhausted," Sarah sighed in relief as they left. She felt drained and leaned on Antonio's shoulder. Antonio noticed her behavior and understood that something unexpected had happened. However, he still maintained a serious expression. After all, it was not easy for anyone to see their partner walk out of a blind date event.

Sarah raised her head and, seeing Antonio's silence, understood what he was thinking. "Ethan sent me," she said.

"Ethan?" Antonio finally reacted. "Why would he send you here?"

"I'm not sure. It might have something to do with his recent unusual behavior. I'll ask him about it when I get home," Sarah replied, slightly annoyed. She could forgive her children for any mistakes they made, but she couldn't condone them using lies to achieve their goals.

Antonio held onto Sarah's hand. "Sarah, I don't think this is as simple as it seems."

"What could be complicated about this? It's just Ethan causing trouble," Sarah asked, puzzled.

Antonio shook his head. "Ethan has never acted like this before. But ever since Alex arrived, his attitude towards me has completely changed, and I often hear them discussing company matters in the study."

Antonio's expression darkened, and his tone turned cold. "This issue must have some connection to Alex."

Sarah had a gut feeling that Alex wouldn't do something like this, but the fact was right in front of her. Ever since Alex had appeared in Ethan's life, Ethan's personality and attitude had completely transformed. Perhaps there was some misunderstanding in all of this...
