Chapter 887 Guadalupe is Back
Sarah whipped her head around, her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief. "Do you also think something is going on between me and Francis?"
The media making up stories was one thing, and she could ignore the online trolls, but even Antonio thought there was something between them? Just because of a few photos?
Antonio didn't expect her reaction to be so intense. He continued, "I know there's nothing between you two, but don't you think you should explain the photos to me?"
Explain what? That Francis was helping her catch a moth?
Sarah was already extremely annoyed, and his questioning tone only made her more agitated. She pulled him up and pushed him out. "I'm really in a bad mood right now. Can you stop being unreasonable for a while? If you want an explanation, let me calm down first!"
Antonio felt hurt but understood that Sarah's emotions were unstable due to her pregnancy, so he let her push him out of the room.
The door was locked. Antonio stood at the door for a few minutes, unable to hear any sound from inside, and the feeling of frustration lingered.
He ran a hand through his hair in frustration and went downstairs.
Lisa came out of her room and immediately saw the striking scene in the living room.
Antonio sat on the sofa with his legs naturally apart, his dark casual suit wrapping his toned body, exuding a cold and charming aura that seemed to attract everything.
She couldn't help but swallow, turned to the dining room to pour a glass of water, and walked over gracefully. "Mr. Valencia, have some water."
Antonio looked up at her, took the glass, and drank a large gulp.
Lisa couldn't help but glance at his moving Adam's apple, her heart pounding as if it would jump out of her chest.
"Mr. Valencia, I've thought it over and still feel there's something I should tell you."
Antonio frowned, "What is it?"
"This afternoon, when you went out, Mr. Francis Valencia and Mrs. Valencia were alone in the back garden for a long time and didn't let us follow. It seemed like they had something to discuss." Her voice was soft, describing the ambiguous situation to the fullest.
Antonio gave her a cold look, "Is this your business?"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Valencia!" Lisa immediately bowed in fear, "I was just worried that Mrs. Valencia might have something going on. After all, she's about to give birth. What if something bad is being kept from you?"
"Enough." Antonio's voice was emotionless, "You can go now."
As the footsteps gradually faded, Antonio let out a heavy sigh, unbuttoned his shirt, and felt a bit relieved.
Thinking about what Elara had just said, a thought crossed his mind.
Could Sarah and Francis really be hiding something from him? What could be going on between them?
The more Antonio thought about it, the more annoyed he became. He finally pulled up the surveillance footage of the back garden on his computer.
As expected, he saw Sarah pushing Francis for a walk. Although he couldn't hear the conversation, their facial expressions suggested they were discussing something serious.
At least something they didn't want the family to know about.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have chosen the back garden, a secluded place where no one could overhear them, in the middle of the day when no one was home.
Antonio closed his eyes and told himself not to be irrationally jealous.
After a moment, he turned off the computer and went upstairs.
The locked room door was now open.
Sarah was sitting on the sofa with no expression, casually scrolling on her tablet, lost in thought.
"Sarah." Antonio walked over and sat beside her, "We need to talk."
Sarah looked up at him, "If you're here to ask about the news, let me tell you, those people are just making things up. This afternoon, I went to the hospital with Francis, thinking you were in ward 305, but no one was there, and then..."
Talking about this made her speechless!
After taking a breath, she continued, "Then a moth flew onto me!"
Antonio didn't expect the truth to be like this, his eye twitched, "So, Francis was helping you catch a moth?"
"Ridiculous, right?" Sarah shrugged, "But that's the truth."
As for whether the reporters took the photos intentionally or unintentionally, she still didn't know.
She had a strange feeling that everything happening recently wasn't going well, including today's news. It felt like someone was pushing it.
After all, Sarah wasn't a public figure. Such high attention was really baffling.
Antonio knew she was allergic to moths and didn't have much doubt about this matter.
"So, what were you and Francis talking about in the back garden at noon?"
At noon, Francis had called her to the back garden to talk about the fake death.
Sarah remembered Francis's instructions and bit her lip in frustration, "We were just taking a walk and talking about Ryan's past."
'The noon sun is scorching, taking a walk?' He thought.
Antonio's eyes showed a hint of contemplation, "That's all?"
"What else could there be? Are you suspecting me now?" Sarah threw the tablet aside, frustrated, and ran a hand through her hair, "Antonio, can you stop doubting me? I've already said there's nothing, and there really is nothing!"
She didn't want to continue this topic. She got up and walked to the bathroom, ready to wash up and go to bed.
Antonio watched her back and could feel Sarah's frustration. But wasn't it reasonable for him to ask?
He sighed helplessly and took out his phone to call James. "How's the PR department handling it?"
"Mr. Valencia, there are too many comments from netizens. We just took down the headline, and it was back up in no time."
"Then handle it more thoroughly!" Antonio was also holding back his anger, "I don't want to see any of those comments online. Any defamatory remarks about Sarah, have the legal department send a lawyer's letter!"
Even though the Valencia Group's PR department was fast, the scandal had already spread widely, even internationally.
Guadalupe had just finished an emergency meeting and saw the news on his phone.
Seeing the photos on the screen, his eyes darkened, and a chilling aura emanated from him.
The assistant beside him couldn't help but shiver, "Mr. Diaz?"
Before he could finish, an enraged Guadalupe threw his phone, and the cup on the table shattered on the floor.
Guadalupe's face was dark, veins bulging on his forehead. "Prepare the private jet, we're going back immediately!"
