Chapter 407 My Father Is My Idol
"I'm not angry at all, how could I be? I suddenly gained another son, and I'm actually happy," Antonio said hastily.
"Just the thought that the CEO who has been troubling me is my own son... I couldn't be happier," he continued.
Antonio quickly looked at Sarah and said, "Darling, I'm truly not angry. You don't have to apologize. I was just lost in my thoughts. I really am not angry at all."
Unable to contain her laughter, Sarah said, "Can you please stop with this pitiful act?"
Antonio chuckled and picked Harper up, gently rubbing his daughter's little cheek. "You little rascals are so clever. You managed to keep me in the dark for so long. I wonder who you take after."
"Of course, it's inherited from Daddy," Harper said, wrapping her arms around Antonio's neck. She knew he wasn't angry, and the atmosphere immediately became more relaxed.
Alex also breathed a sigh of relief. As long as Antonio didn't pursue the matter further, everything would be fine.
"If there's nothing else, I'll go back now. I'll handle the matter with Victor. I'll start investigating immediately," Alex said.
"Sure, let me know right away if there's anything," Brian said, finding Antonio's change amusing.
Just moments ago, Antonio had the demeanor of someone owed billions, but now it seemed like he had hit the jackpot.
Alex nodded and quietly left the room.
Sarah sat on the couch, feeling the tension that had been building inside her finally dissolve. She acknowledged her pettiness. She had anticipated Antonio's anger upon learning about Brian's situation or pointless arguments erupting between them.
However, she was taken aback by his unexpected reaction, particularly because she sensed Antonio's genuine fondness for Brian.
Although she was initially shocked, she could see that Antonio was truly excited.
Antonio hadn't lied; he really was overjoyed.
"Brian, let Daddy know if you've encountered any difficulties during these years abroad. Starting a company is a very challenging task, with so many things to consider. You've worked hard," Antonio said sympathetically, patting Brian's head. He understood just how tough it could be to run a company.
Even though Brian couldn't attend many social events due to his age, he still had to make many decisions.
Sometimes it's not physical exhaustion, but mental fatigue.
Now that Brian's company had grown so big, there were even more matters to handle.
As a young child, he must be exhausted.
"It's nothing," Brian said.
He had long been accustomed to this kind of life and didn't have much concept of hardship. In fact, he didn't feel particularly burdened. He did everything for Sarah and his younger siblings willingly and happily.
"Daddy, my big brother is amazing! In my heart, he's just as amazing as you!" Harper said sincerely, hugging Antonio tightly.
Antonio felt satisfied in his heart. "Your brother is much more formidable than your father. In the future, all four of you will definitely surpass your father."
"Daddy is my idol. I will always look up to him."
Ryan didn't feel jealous or envious because of Brian and the other two. On the contrary, he really enjoyed this family atmosphere. He was especially grateful to Sarah for allowing him to blend into this kind of family atmosphere.
Ethan glanced at Antonio, wanting to say something but feeling a bit embarrassed.
Sarah could tell and approached Ethan, holding Ethan and Brian's hands. "Kids, is there something you want to say to your dad?"
Brian, Ethan, and Harper regrouped at Sarah's reminder.
"Thank you for everything today."
"Thank you."
"Thank you, Daddy. Daddy, you worked hard today!"
Antonio couldn't have been happier. He now had three sons and a daughter, his close-knit little team. He wouldn't exchange countless shares of Valencia Inc. for this joy.
Antonio hugged Sarah in excitement. "Sarah, thank you! Thank you for bringing them to me!"
As Antonio spoke, he leaned in to kiss Sarah, but she stopped him just in time.
"The kids are still here. What are you doing?"
