Chapter 203 She is Antonio's Moonlight

As Antonio walked through the door, he immediately noticed that Lucien was also present, which instantly put him in a displeased mood.

Meanwhile, Sarah was holding a pen, seemingly about to write something. His heart skipped a beat as if he realized what was happening. Reacting quickly, he stepped forward to stop Sarah.

Lucien was startled by Antonio's sudden appearance, and he suppressed the anger in his heart as he looked at the pen that Antonio swatted away onto the ground. Sarah would have already signed the divorce agreement if Antonio had come just a minute later.

Lucien said coldly, "Who said you could come back? Why did you come back instead of staying at the hospital to look after Ryan? Hmph! It's useless for you to return! She has already decided to sign the divorce agreement!"

"Divorce? I've already said it: it's impossible. I will never agree!"

His fiery gaze fixed upon Lucien as if he wished to burn him to ashes.

"Antonio! You ungrateful child!"

Lucien was so furious that he was almost speechless.

Antonio didn't pay him any attention. He picked up the divorce agreement and tore it apart in front of Lucien, his expression darkening.

"I said it's impossible!"

"You!" Lucien pointed at him, almost out of breath, and angrily left, holding his chest.

Only when he heard the sound of the door closing did Antonio turn his cold face to Sarah. It was like the calm before the storm, seemingly quiet but secretly gathering countless hidden currents that were about to surge.

After a moment, Antonio spoke through gritted teeth, "You were so eager to leave me like this?"

Sarah had already decided to divorce him, but Antonio's interruption made it seem as if he didn't want to divorce her. Feeling confused by his furious appearance, she became both puzzled and slightly angry when faced with his question.

Seeing that she didn't speak, Antonio questioned her with anger, his brows furrowing deeply, "Are you divorcing me because of that man?"

Her heart sank at the mention of Asa once again. As she looked into his eyes, they turned cooler. She couldn't explain, feeling a heavy knot in her chest.

Thinking of him meeting Serene alon, and even the phone call he just made, which clearly indicated that he was with her, made her feel uneasy.

She arched her lips slightly and sneered coldly. "And what about you? What is your relationship with Serene? Dare you say it?"

Antonio hesitated for a moment. "Did Grandpa say something to you?"

"Answer my question first. Don't tell me you're feeling guilty," she confronted Antonio coldly, her heart aching with each moment.

Antonio gazed at her solemnly. "She is just a business partner to me, nothing more. That's all. Did Grandpa tell you something?

"Don't believe what he said."

After speaking, Antonio secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

She first questioned his relationship with Serene, so her desire for a divorce wasn't because of Asa...

Sarah sneered mockingly, her eyes never leaving Antonio's for a split second, filled with deep doubt and anger.

"A partner? Is that so? You are considerate enough to lend her your coat? Antonio, why didn't I notice what a gentleman you were before?"

Antonio was taken aback. 'A coat? Wasn't that when Serene said she was cold earlier… How could Sarah know?

'Ah, it seems someone was prepared ahead of time. No wonder Grandpa appeared at the villa!'

Antonio's gaze instantly darkened.

'The old man took action after all. I warned him that if he meddled in my marriage again, I wouldn't let it go easily!'

But for now, it was crucial to appease Sarah.

Antonio said solemnly, "I sincerely hope you believe me. She saved me in my childhood, offering her help, and I feel nothing but gratitude towards her. That's all."

'A lifesaver?'

Sarah couldn't help but sneer. She raised an eyebrow, pushed Antonio away, and created distance between them.

"A lifesaver? Haha, now you're concocting lies without even using your brain? The cliché act of a lifesaver is too laughable!"

"Why would I fabricate lies? At that time, I was young and experienced a disaster beyond your imagination. It can even be said that if she hadn't saved me, I wouldn't be alive today."

Sarah glanced at him coldly, her eyes filled with irony and disdain. "Is it that I can't imagine it, or is it simply nonexistent?"

Her gaze pierced through Antonio.

He had never betrayed her, yet why did she always doubt him?

Antonio took a deep breath. "I encountered an avalanche back then, nearly dying on a snowy mountain. I'm sure there must have been news reports. If you don't believe it, you can look it up."

'An avalanche?'

Upon hearing this word, Sarah suddenly felt like something flashed through her mind quickly. Then, she felt a sense of dizziness and discomfort.

She staggered as if she had been struck.

Finally, she sighed. "Never mind... I don't want to hear about these things between you anymore."

She held her forehead, suppressing the discomfort, and turned back to her room alone.

Observing her indifferent reaction, Antonio felt she still didn't trust him. It felt like a heavy stone weighing down his heart, making it hard for him to breathe.

He glanced back at the two children who had been standing aside all this time, then shifted his gaze to Sarah's departing figure, his words tinged with a sense of loss and helplessness. "Does she truly lack trust in me like this?"

Antonio's stare resembled that of an injured beast, a departure from his typically serious and unsmiling demeanor. It conveyed loneliness and fragility.

Ethan, standing nearby, observed with a puzzled expression.

'He was the one who hurt Mommy, yet why does Bad Guy show such a look?'
