Lucien continued to curse, but Antonio didn't care. He had grown accustomed to it from childhood.
Sarah, however, had a dark expression on her face.
But the person who coul bear it less than Sarah was Harper. She raised her little face and yelled, "You wicked old man! You're not allowed to speak ill of my dad! My dad would never be like what you said. It's you who deserves punishment!"
Though Ethan didn't say a word, the stern expression on his face said it all.
Lucien despised Antonio, so naturally, he would not like his children either.
"Do you know where you came from, you bastard? You're just as disgusting as your father! You heartless and deceitful scoundrels, one day you will pay for your actions—"
"Mr. Valencia Sr., I advise you to watch your words!" Sarah interrupted Lucien's curses.
"Do you think of yourself as a righteous person? For all these years, you have relied on Antonio's fear and gratitude for raising him to exploit and humiliate him without restraint.
"Now, the person who kills to cover up is you, and the one trying to seize Valencia Inc. shares is also you. The one who will face retribution for all the wicked deeds is still you.
"We will be here quietly, watching you face the consequences and waiting for the day you die without peace."
Sarah's words were harsh, but they were also what she truly felt. Lucien had done too much evil, and no one could bear it any longer.
Lucien's face twisted with anger. He wanted to retort, but the oppressive atmosphere and Sarah's words suffocated him. He clenched his fists in frustration and remained silent.
He was stunned into silence by what Sarah said, his eyes fixed on her, ready to pop out in anger.
The police quickly took Lucien away, and the situation instantly turned.
The conference room fell silent, with everyone refraining from speaking, particularly those who had recently expressed their support for Lucien. They feared provoking Antonio's wrath. As they watched Lucien being arrested, they could only cower in silence.
However, Antonio flipped through the equity information in front of him and effortlessly found all of Lucien's followers.
"It's time to clean up Valencia Inc., don't you think?"
With those words, Lucien's supporters lost their momentum, slumping in their seats, awaiting judgment. Everyone present was keenly aware that the fortunes of Valencia Inc. had indeed shifted.
After dealing with Valencia Inc., Antonio returned home with Sarah and the children.
After days of exhaustion, the two children couldn't hold on any longer and fell into a deep sleep as soon as they arrived home.
Sarah stood by the window, thinking about calling Brian to let him know they were safe.
At that moment, Antonio approached, pressing his hands against the window sill as he enveloped Sarah in his embrace.
"Thank you for today," he said.
A warm breath washed over Sarah's neck, igniting her heartstrings.
Sarah couldn't resist turning around, just in time to meet Antonio's intense gaze.
"There's nothing to thank me for. He was being so harsh on you, and I couldn't bear to listen..."
The distance between them gradually closed, as though they could hear each other's heartbeats. Their breaths intertwined, forming an unbreakable bond.
