Chapter 84 Let's Go Find Ethan

"Mommy." A tiny, pitiful voice cut through Antonio's words like a knife.

Sarah's head snapped up, and she shoved Antonio away with all her might, jumping to her feet.

The door creaked open just a smidge, and a little head poked through.

Harper, with her lips trembling and big, watery eyes, stared at them. After a beat, she whispered, "Mommy, I'm scared. Can you sleep with me?"

Sarah figured Harper was spooked by Philip, so she rushed over, scooped Harper up, and said, "Sure thing, sweetie. Let's get you back to bed."

Without a second glance at Antonio, she walked out, holding Harper tight.

Antonio watched the door close, his face darkening like a storm cloud.

In the other room, Sarah lay on her side, cradling Harper and gently patting her back. "Sleep tight, honey. Mommy's right here."

The room was so quiet, Sarah's nerves finally started to settle. Thank goodness Harper had shown up when she did; who knew what Antonio might've tried.

Suddenly, Harper's muffled voice came from her arms. "Mommy, was that really Daddy's grandpa? Why was he so mean to Daddy?"

Sarah had just told her that Philip was Antonio's grandpa, which Harper found unbelievable!

Grandfathers were usually very fond of their grandchildren, but Philip was not at all kind to Antonio!Hearing this, Sarah's eyes glazed over as she drifted into memories.

Back in the day, Philip was a big shot in the business world, building his empire from scratch and making Valencia Group a powerhouse.

Philip was a business beast but had only one son, who died young. Luckily, his son left behind two grandsons. Yep, two.

Antonio and his brother. But a few years ago, his brother died in an accident.

Now, Philip only had Antonio left. You'd think he'd spoil him, but...

Sarah sighed softly and gently reassured Harper, "Don't worry about that, just get some sleep."

After Harper dozed off, Sarah's eyes slowly closed, but her mind replayed her wedding to Antonio years ago.

At the wedding, she met Philip for the first time. The guy didn't crack a smile the whole time. She thought he just didn't like her, but she never expected him to be so harsh and mean to Antonio.

She couldn't figure it out, but it wasn't her problem to solve now.

She was set on divorcing Antonio. All she needed was a clean break!

The next morning, when Sarah got up, Antonio was already at the office.

Not seeing his annoying face put her in a good mood. She headed to the kitchen to whip up Harper's favorite breakfast to cheer her up after last night's scare.

As they were enjoying their breakfast, someone showed up.

Lisa, decked out in luxury brands, strutted into the villa, her diamond necklace practically blinding.

She held her chin high, looking all superior, while Ryan, equally well-dressed, trailed behind, looking troubled.

Lisa planted herself in the middle of the living room, scanning the place with a snobby look before finally glaring at Sarah and Harper in the dining room with pure disgust. "Why are you still here?"

Sarah noticed their flashy entrance but didn't bother to respond, focusing entirely on Harper.

With a loving smile on her makeup-free, delicate face, Sarah placed a piece of bacon from her plate onto Harper's. "Harper, eat a bit more."

Lisa was totally ignored!

A crack appeared on her heavily made-up face. She angrily yanked off her sunglasses, stepped closer, and sneered at Sarah. "Sarah, let me tell you, Philip came back yesterday and immediately went to see me and Ryan. He took special care of us and told us to move in here, so there's no place for you. Get out!"

Listening to Lisa's hypocritical words, Sarah stayed cool as a cucumber.

Lisa just couldn't stay idle and came to mess with her peace again. Had she forgotten Lusa's fate so quickly?

Sarah didn't want to throw down with her.

But Harper wasn't having it. Seeing Lisa, her little face fell, and the bacon in her mouth suddenly tasted like cardboard.

'Why is Lisa here again? She's so annoying!' she pondered.

Harper glanced at Sarah and noticed her calm expression. Even though she didn't get it, she kept quiet and kept munching on her breakfast.

Lisa, seeing them ignore her like she was invisible, got even more ticked off.

Then Lisa smirked smugly. "It's just a futile struggle!"

With that, she turned and hollered towards the door, "Come in!"

The next second, eight movers carrying big boxes walked in. Lisa grabbed Ryan and shot a provocative look at Sarah and Harper.

"Ryan and I are moving in here now!" With that, she dragged Ryan upstairs, almost making him trip.

He glanced at Harper, his pale face full of guilt and apology.

The maids in the villa were also freaked out by the scene, looking helplessly at Sarah, who stayed calm and indifferent.

Lisa, in her high heels, strutted upstairs, her chin practically pointing to the sky. She opened every room she passed, acting like she owned the place.

She pushed open a door with a bang and saw a teddy bear on the bed, guessing it was Harper's room. She arrogantly ordered, "Move Ryan's stuff in here!"

The movers did as she said, and Lisa then ordered the maids, "Clean the room thoroughly. Toss out anything unnecessary! Ryan's in poor health, so the room's gotta be spotless!"

In other words, the room now belonged to Ryan, and Harper's stuff had to go!

The maids looked troubled, glancing at the arrogant Lisa and then downstairs, ultimately standing in the hallway, not daring to speak. After all, they couldn't afford to tick off either side!

Lisa barked a bunch of orders but got only silence in response, making her even more ticked off.

She walked back to the staircase and shouted downstairs, "Sarah, get your stuff out of here!"

With Philip backing her, Lisa was feeling bold, standing there with her hands on her hips, looking down on Sarah and Harper.

'By now, doesn't Sarah get it? The lady of this house could only be me! The heir of the Valencia group could only be Ryan!'

Sarah looked at Lisa standing on the stairs, thinking she was like a mad dog barking. Seeing Harper had finished breakfast, she took a napkin to wipe Harper's mouth and gently asked, "Are you full?"

Harper nodded obediently, "Yes."

Sarah smiled warmly, stood up holding Harper's hand, and stopped at the bottom of the stairs. She calmly said to Lisa, "If you're so capable, then hurry up and get Antonio to divorce me. I'd be more than happy."

With that, she walked away holding Harper's hand, not giving Lisa a single glance.

Lisa glared at Sarah's indifferent back, her face twisted with hatred. "Damn it!"

Meanwhile, Sarah calmly walked out of the villa holding Harper's hand. She looked up at the clear blue sky and took a deep breath.

The air was especially fresh today. Sarah's red lips curved into a relaxed smile as she gently squeezed Harper's chubby little hand. "Let's go find Ethan!"
