Chapter 852 Damn Sarah
At this moment, it didn't matter to Guadalupe what they talked about.
What mattered was, what required half an hour alone in the garden to discuss.
He wanted to smash his phone, but a suspicion gradually took root in his mind, and it was this suspicion that filled him with overwhelming hatred.
'Francis really does have a special place for that Sarah!' Guadalupe thought.
As soon as he left, Francis couldn't wait to be alone with Sarah.
Guadalupe's face turned completely dark, and in a fit of rage, he threw his phone at the car door opposite him.
Sarah had no idea she was being watched. After she and Antonio dropped Francis off, they returned to their room to wash up and go to bed.
She stared at the ceiling, unable to sleep.
Francis spoke so sincerely and painfully. Should she believe him?
If everything he said was true, then Francis had been under Guadalupe's control all these years, and now he was willing to sacrifice his dignity just to ask for her help. If she refused, Francis would indeed be quite pitiful.
But what if it was all a lie? Would he bring immeasurable harm to Antonio or the company?
After replying to two emails, Antonio put down his tablet and saw Sarah looking distressed. He stretched out his long arm, pulled her into his embrace, and asked, "What's wrong?"
Caught off guard, Sarah blurted out, "It's Francis..."
Realizing she had almost blurted it out, she bit her lip and shook her head regretfully, "No... nothing."
Antonio's deep eyes narrowed slightly. The strange feeling he had in the garden earlier resurfaced, and he asked cautiously, "Late at night, and you're daydreaming about another man? Hmm?"
He said it in a joking tone, and Sarah elbowed him. "Francis is your brother, not someone else."
"He is off-limits too." Antonio said domineeringly, "You should only think about me."
Sarah was speechless at Antonio's occasional childish thoughts, but his interruption helped her think more clearly.
Since Francis had already made his intentions clear, why not grant his wish? After all, it wasn't a major favor. The big development project was far from Capital City, and even if it progressed, Antonio wouldn't personally oversee it.
Moreover, the project wasn't a core one and didn't involve a large investment.
If something really went wrong, they could stop it in time.
With these thoughts, Sarah felt much more at ease.
She looked up at the handsome Antonio, "Why not let Francis handle the big development project? At worst, it won't make money, but what if Francis wins the bet?"
Antonio looked down into her eyes, which sparkled like stars in the night sky, filled with expectation and something else he couldn't understand.
His heart tightened, "Sarah, you..."
Why was she suddenly concerned about these matters?
In the past, as long as Antonio was around, Sarah never asked about company affairs or which projects to pursue.
He wanted to ask but couldn't find the words.
Sarah blinked, "What's wrong? Can't I?"
"Sure." Antonio stared at her for a while, then leaned down to kiss her lips, "Whatever you say goes, but don't you think your attention should be more on me? Hmm?"
Sarah tried to push him away but couldn't. "Oh, come on."
His breath tickled her, "I'm talking business here, can you stop messing around?"
But Antonio didn't want to listen anymore. The moment his fingers touched her skin, his blood began to boil.
He turned her face towards him, kissing her deeply.
He panted, "Didn't we just finish talking?"
Sarah, a bit dazed from his kisses, "Oh, did we?"
"Yes, we did." Antonio's body temperature rose quickly, like a fire igniting, his gaze turning sultry and sticky, "Now look at me, and let's take care of our business."
Though they had been together for a long time, Sarah still felt shy under his intense gaze, "Go sleep on your own!"
She didn't even realize that her voice lacked any authority at that moment, sounding more like a coquettish plea, further fueling the desire in Antonio's eyes.
Antonio lifted her chin and kissed her again, no longer just a light peck.
"Don't want to?"
"No."
"Honey, really don't want to?"
"How about now?"
His deep, husky voice tempted her nerves, and under Antonio's patient guidance, Sarah gradually lost herself, eventually wrapping her arms around his neck.
Antonio succeeded once again, using his charm to gain some benefits, and only fell into a deep sleep with Sarah in his arms in the early morning.
After returning to the villa across the street, Francis tossed and turned all night, unsure if his confession to Sarah was a good or bad thing. But judging by her reaction, she probably wouldn't tell anyone.
For now, that was the best he could hope for.
If she could help, best of all, but if she couldn't, he just hoped Sarah wouldn't break his original plan.
Francis had a lot on his mind and only fell asleep in the early hours. When he woke up, he felt heavy-headed, as if all his strength had been drained.
In the dining room, Guadalupe had already finished breakfast.
He glanced at his watch and told the servant next to him, "Go check why Mr. Valencia hasn't come out yet."
Just as he finished speaking, Francis wheeled himself out of his room, his face pale and devoid of color, his energy clearly forced.
Guadalupe immediately saw what was going on and sneered, "You really have a deep connection with Sarah, huh? Talking to her for a few words and neglecting your own health?"
Francis had been in poor health since the car accident, needing hospitalization at the slightest chill.
Talking with Sarah outside for so long last night, it was no wonder he had a fever.
Francis's eyes narrowed slightly but quickly returned to normal, "None of your business."
Guadalupe had people stationed outside the villa, so it was normal for him to see, but judging by his reaction, he probably hadn't heard their conversation.
Guadalupe snorted coldly and stood up, "None of my business?"
He grabbed Francis's chin, his voice dark and menacing, "You think I want to deal with you?"
Francis wanted to break free from his control but had no strength.
After a brief struggle, he let Guadalupe hold him, his eyes defiant.
Guadalupe was infuriated by his attitude, his grip tightening, and finally, he shoved Francis's face to the side, "Even if you're dying, don't show me that pathetic face and disgust me, got it? Hmm?"
