Chapter 689 Why is Benjamin in Her Bed
The sound of the hairdryer stopped, and as soon as Sarah opened her eyes, he kissed her.
The scene abruptly ended.
'Stop! I can't think about this anymore!' he thought.
Benjamin stood in the room, lingering for a while, as his desire grew stronger with each passing thought. Eventually, he could only express his frustration by running his hand irritably through his hair.
He glanced at the empty room, then started rummaging through drawers and boxes. After a long time, he finally found a bottle of perfume and sprayed a little.
The air was instantly filled with a familiar scent, somewhat reminiscent of the past.
Benjamin sprayed some on his clothes, finally feeling a bit calmer.
Not completely calm, though.
To be precise, Benjamin was still consumed by recent memories, with Sarah's image lingering in his mind. He longed for her presence, yearning to see her again, even if it were just a glimpse.
Benjamin hesitated for only a moment before decisively getting dressed and heading out.
In the dead of night, he supposed the security guards should be gone.
He glanced towards the main gate, smirked, then found a spot, took a few steps back, and leaped forward, easily climbing over the wall.
The wall around Sarah's house wasn't very high, at least not for Benjamin.
He walked in quietly, his cautious eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.
Although it felt like he was sneaking in, he was inexplicably excited.
He would see Sarah soon!
Benjamin quickened his pace, soon crossing the yard and standing at the door.
But as he looked at the fingerprint lock, he naturally reached out his hand.
Then the door opened.
So, all this time, Sarah had never deleted his fingerprint!
Benjamin chuckled inexplicably, realizing that occasionally being too clever could result in making mistakes.
There had been so many opportunities before; if he had tried just once, he would have noticed something was off.
After all, other things could change.
But fingerprints, no matter what, couldn't be changed!
Benjamin collected his thoughts, walked in quietly, and was about to go upstairs when he suddenly stopped.
He turned his gaze, and the large bouquet in the corner instantly caught his attention.
The cluster of red roses stood out vividly in the dim light, their bright hue seemingly urging him to take action, as if they held a purpose waiting to be fulfilled.
Those were from Bob.
Benjamin coldly smirked, turned on his heel, and walked over.
Those flowers were like trash, not worth a second thought. He took them all out and threw them in the yard, not forgetting to stomp on them in frustration before leaving.
'Doesn't he know that Sarah never liked red roses? They're ugly and tacky! Absolutely vulgar!' he thought and mocked Bob inwardly.
Benjamin's jealousy surged, and seeing the flowers lying crookedly in the corner finally satisfied him, making him feel much better.
In his mind, Bob, who sent these flowers, would end up just like them!
Driven out by him!
He composed himself and stepped back into the villa, heading to the master bedroom on the third floor without any obstacles.
But standing at the bedroom door, Benjamin felt conflicted.
Somehow, he felt like a creep, sneaking in while Sarah was asleep.
He thought maybe he shouldn't go in.
But he missed her so much!
'Forget it, Sarah is my wife! It's right for me to see my wife! How could that be creepy?' he thought.
He had finally regained his memory; he couldn't hold back anymore!
Benjamin's two conflicting thoughts finally resolved, and he pushed the door open, stepping in so quietly it was almost inaudible.
In the dim room, only a faint nightlight by the balcony was on.
On the large bed in the center, Sarah occupied just a small corner, with a large empty space behind her.
Benjamin walked closer, finally standing by the bed.
"Sarah."
The low murmur sounded like he was talking to himself. Looking at the Sarah he had longed for day and night, his heart softened, and he wished he could hold her immediately.
Benjamin was about to lean down when he noticed a few pieces of clothing on the other pillow, clothes he had worn before. Looking closer, he saw Sarah was hugging one.
Throughout her pregnancy, Sarah's sleep had been unstable, and she could only find some comfort in Benjamin's old clothes, with their familiar scent.
But too much time had passed.
The scent on those clothes was barely there.
Thinking of this, Benjamin felt like his heart was being pierced through a knife.
Sitting by the bed, he pondered for a moment before he couldn't resist the urge to embrace Sarah.
Sarah was more important to him than life itself, and seeing her in such pain was unbearable.
In her sleep, Sarah seemed to smell a comforting scent.
She murmured and moved closer to the source of the scent.
For Benjamin, this was a catalyst.
He couldn't bear it any longer and lay down on the bed, pulling Sarah into his arms!
This scene of sleeping together had appeared countless times in his dreams, and now it was finally real.
Sarah instinctively snuggled closer into his embrace.
The familiar scent made her feel so comfortable.
She murmured the name, "Antonio."
"I'm here." Benjamin's heart fluttered at her soft voice, and he held her tighter. "Sleep, Sarah. I'll be back with you soon."
"Okay."
Though Sarah fell asleep again, she smiled. "I'll wait for you."
This was her truest thought. Even if Antonio were really dead, she could never love anyone else. She would wait for him forever.
.
Hearing this subconscious answer, Benjamin felt both honored and heartbroken.
He cradled Sarah tenderly, delicately stroking her swollen belly with utmost care, as if holding a precious and fragile treasure. He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
The night was quiet, and the room was warm and peaceful.
Benjamin had planned to stay with her for a while and then leave, but he never expected that he hadn't had a good night's sleep for so long, and now with Sarah in his arms, in the familiar home and bed, he accidentally fell asleep!
The night passed quickly, and morning came.
Sarah also slept well.
But as soon as she woke up, she felt something was off.
'How could there be someone in my bed?'
'And in such an intimate position!'
'Am I still dreaming?' she thought.
Sarah closed her eyes tightly and opened them again.
No, she wasn't dreaming! Benjamin, that bad man, was in her bed!
And he was holding her, sleeping so soundly!
