Chapter 789 Speechless
After speaking, Mary turned around and ran off with her suitcase.
Her slender figure quickly dashed into the elevator and disappeared.
Timothy stood still, his cold eyes suddenly becoming unfathomable as he stared in the direction she left, not moving for a long time.
"Gone?" Antonio appeared out of nowhere, standing beside him.
Timothy glanced at him but said nothing.
"Mr. Reed, now that you've driven Mary away and aren't chasing after her, it might not be so easy to catch up with her later." His words carried a hint of schadenfreude, which Timothy found extremely grating.
Timothy turned his head, his gaze growing even darker. "Mr. Valencia, I believe I have previously explained my relationship with Mary to you?"
Antonio raised an eyebrow, and sneered.
"If you didn't hear it clearly, let me say it again." Timothy turned his head, his tone eerie as if he were telling Antonio and himself, "The relationship between Mary and me is not what you imagine. To me, she is merely a responsibility, and I must take care of her."
Antonio chuckled, "Mr. Reed, I really hope you can keep your word."
He laughed inexplicably, "I'm waiting to see the day you can't extricate yourself."
Timothy remained silent.
His lips moved slightly, but in the end, he said nothing.
Antonio ignored him, turned around, and walked into the ward. Under the watchful eyes behind him, he embraced Sarah and said deliberately, "Sarah, I'm glad I realized my feelings for you early on and didn't let you leave my side for too long. I love you."
After speaking, he tenderly cupped her face and kissed her.
Timothy remained silent, feeling extremely speechless.
Timothy let out a heavy sigh and turned to leave.
Antonio only released Sarah after seeing Timothy disappear out of the corner of his eye.
"Are you being childish?" Sarah, of course, knew what he meant and patted his chest.
"Some people need a push; otherwise, they don't realize who they truly care about. Wasn't I the same before?" Antonio kissed her lightly on the forehead, "But that's all we can do. Matters of the heart are up to them."
The couple said no more, and with the hospital staff, they wheeled Cynthia downstairs and had a special car take her to the airport.
Mary hadn't gone far; she was squatting at the hospital entrance, waiting.
When Sarah approached, she saw Mary wiping tears from the corners of her eyes.
Pretending not to notice, she said, "Let's go, Mary. Cynthia is already in the car."
Mary's eyes were red like a rabbit's, but she forced a smile, "Sarah, you should ride with Antonio. I'll go with Cynthia."
Sarah didn't insist and got into separate cars heading to the airport.
The plane was a private jet Antonio had arranged in advance, fearing something might happen to Cynthia on the way. He also brought along a good doctor.
Two hours later, the jet landed in the capital city, and the hospital sent an ambulance directly to pick them up. James and his team helped transport Cynthia to the hospital.
"You really didn't have to come back with me. After finishing things here, you still have to rush back. It's such a hassle." After completing the transfer procedures, Sarah looked at Antonio, who was seriously reviewing the medical records, feeling warm inside but couldn't help saying, "I'm worried your body can't handle all this back and forth."
Antonio hadn't rested well in the past few days because of Harold's matter.
Antonio glanced at her, teasing gently, "Don't you know how well my body is? Didn't you just experience it?"
Sarah glared at him, "Stop it!"
After settling Cynthia, the couple took Mary back to the villa.
Kevin and the kids already knew they were coming back and had the servants prepare a sumptuous meal, ready to eat together when they arrived.
"Mommy!"
"Daddy!"
As soon as they entered, a group of kids rushed over, pulling them towards the living room.
The servants followed with the luggage, smiling at the scene. Nothing was more heartwarming than a happy, harmonious family.
"Mommy, we missed you so much!"
"Yeah!"
Antonio had just sat down when Harper climbed into his lap, "Daddy, we missed you too. Brian and Ethan said yesterday they wanted you to take us to the new amusement park. Can we go, Daddy? When can we go?"
Harper's soft voice melted everyone's hearts.
Antonio looked into her bright eyes, feeling a warmth deep inside.
Hearing Harper's current question, His gaze darkened, "Soon. Just wait a few more days, okay?"
Once the chip issue was completely resolved, he could return to the Capital City and stay with Sarah and the kids, going wherever they wanted.
Sarah and the kids thought Antonio still had work to do and didn't think much of it.
After talking to Ryan and Brian, Sarah looked up and saw Kevin coming out of the kitchen with a dish. She quickly went to him. "Dad, your health isn't great; you shouldn't be doing this yourself."
Kevin was in a good mood and laughed heartily. "It's nothing. I'm getting old, and if I don't move around, I feel uncomfortable. Don't worry about me. Come on, everyone, wash your hands and eat!"
"Yay! Time to eat!"
"Grandpa's roast beef is the best!"
Such a warm, family reunion scene hadn't happened in a long time, and everyone couldn't stop smiling.
After dinner, Sarah chatted with Mary in the living room, trying to help her integrate more.
Antonio's eyes flickered, and he suddenly said, "Brian, come with me to the study."
Sarah looked over, and Antonio smiled, "Just need to ask about some company matters. It won't take long."
Mary's eyes widened in surprise and envy, "Sarah, Brian knows about company matters at such a young age!"
Sarah chuckled, "Yes, not only does he know, but he also owns a company."
In the study, Antonio sat on the sofa and gestured for Brian to come over. "Brian, I need to discuss something important with you."
"Dad." Brian sat beside him, looking composed, "What is it?"
"Your mommy is now in the late stages of pregnancy and isn't suitable for managing the company or taking care of patients." Antonio's eyes were deep, and as he spoke to Brian, it was like talking to a peer, his voice serious, "So I want to hand over the Valencia Group to you. What do you think?"
Brian was mature and could be considered a genius, especially in company management, where he had unique insights. Otherwise, he wouldn't have made BrianTech Solutions Inc. so successful. Handing over the Valencia Group to him was the best choice.
"Sure." Brian had already thought about this before; he didn't want to see Sarah working so hard every day, "Just complete the handover, and I'm ready anytime."
"Good." Antonio patted his shoulder appreciatively, "I believe in you. You'll do great."
Brian's expression remained mostly unchanged, but he felt quite happy inside due to Antonio's praise.
