Chapter 370 Weren't You Scared?

"Hey, you little rascal! Bullying a girl right in front of me! It seems you have no sense of decency."

Originally, the onlookers mistook it for a simple quarrel between two young people but soon realized the driver had started a physical altercation. Assuming Antonio was harassing Sarah, they hastily intervened, motivated by a sense of righteousness and bravery.

"I've been watching you for a long time. You look decent, so why do you get involved in these unsavory matters?"

"Friend, you're in the wrong here. Just because a girl is good-looking doesn't mean you have to pester her."

Antonio was already concussed, and with the driver's display of strength, his head had forcefully bumped into the car door. Now, with so many people pressing Antonio down, he had no strength to resist.

"Sarah..." Antonio's face grew paler, the pain in his head intensified, and his lips turned slightly white.

The brave men who had come to Sarah's aid let go when they saw this. "What's wrong with him? He looks like he's going to faint. Let's hurry up and take him to the hospital. I swear, this scoundrel knows how to pick his targets."

But Antonio didn't move. He just looked at Sarah through the crowd, his expression carrying a hint of sadness.

Sarah originally wanted to avoid looking at Antonio but couldn't help but glance at him when she noticed the quietness around her.

Upon seeing him, her heart clenched tightly!

Why was Antonio so pale?!

Sarah couldn't care less about anything else. She rushed forward and immediately brought Antonio back into the hospital with the help of several brave men.

Sarah felt regret and self-blame. Why did she have to argue with Antonio? He was clearly ill!

Antonio had been taken to the emergency room, and now she could only anxiously wait outside.

Half an hour later, Antonio was pushed out of the emergency room. His complexion had improved, and he was conscious again.

"Sarah..." Antonio raised his hand and reached out towards Sarah.

She quickly grasped Antonio's hand.

"Doctor, is his injury serious?" Sarah asked with concern.

The doctor sighed helplessly. "May I ask what your relationship is with the patient?"

"I am..."

"She's my significant other," Antonio interjected.

"Being significant others means you should treat each other even better." The doctor looked at Sarah. "Last night, there was a heavy rainstorm, and his vehicle overturned. During the initial examination, we found a lot of mud and sand in his wounds. His head also forcefully banged right onto the ground, causing a concussion.

"This outcome is already considered fortunate. With a little more carelessness, he could have developed an infection or broken his neck, and you wouldn't be seeing him now."

Sarah felt immense fear. When she saw Antonio confidently appear in front of her, she never expected things to turn out like this.

"It's so serious..."

She apologized to Antonio with a saddened tone, "I'm sorry, it was my fault earlier..."

Seeing Sarah about to cry, Antonio immediately spoke coldly, "Doctor, that's enough!"

'Look at how scared my wife is!'

The doctor didn't say anything further and could only sigh helplessly, "The family must be careful and make sure the patient doesn't hit their head again. Otherwise this concussion could turn into brainstem damage."

"Thank you, doctor. I will take good care of him. Thank you!"

Sarah's eyes became slightly moist as she tightly clasped Antonio's hand.

That uneasy feeling of helplessness from last night surged up again, causing her heart to ache even more.

Seeing this, Antonio felt warmth in his heart and grasped Sarah's hand gently. "Sarah, I'm fine. Don't listen to the doctor's exaggeration. He's just trying to scare you."

Sarah pursed her lips and didn't say anything, but she also didn't pull her hand away.

"I really am fine. If you don't believe me, I can stand up and run a lap for you." Saying that, Antonio stood up.

Sarah hurriedly held him down. "Can't you just be honest for a moment?"

"In that case, don't be sad." Antonio bent his knees and locked eyes with Sarah. "I am really okay. I was just scared by that crowd earlier."

Sarah's tears turned into a smile as she said, "They can still scare you? Weren't you the scary one?"
