Chapter 782 We Are Pure Love

"What medication recommendations did they give over there?" Timothy asked.

Antonio couldn't remember those complicated and rare drug names, so he simply handed over the medication list from over there to Timothy, letting him read it himself.

Timothy immediately focused on reading it. After a moment, he sighed in relief, "It's okay. It basically matches my judgment, but I would suggest adding one more..."

For the next twenty minutes, the two of them seriously discussed Cynthia's follow-up treatment plan.

After the discussion ended, the atmosphere in the office became harmonious again.

Antonio suddenly smiled, "Mr. Reed, you are truly kind-hearted. So, have you decided to help me?"

Timothy took off his glasses and sighed helplessly, "What else can I do if I don't help? Mr. Valencia, you trust me so much, putting your life in my hands. I just..."

He didn't continue.

But Antonio felt he understood what Timothy meant.

Timothy was worried that Antonio was just using Cynthia and didn't care about her condition.

If that were true, not only would Sarah be upset, but Mary, who was still in college, would also be sad.

Is that what Timothy was worried about?

Antonio suddenly found these two people quite interesting.

He smirked mischievously, "Don't worry, we are the same. I can't bear to see Sarah sad, and I promise not to make your Mary sad either. How about that?"

Timothy was taken aback.

This was the first time someone had teased him about Mary to his face.

This new feeling made him feel a bit at a loss, but strangely, he didn't feel the usual discomfort of having his privacy invaded.

Instead, he felt a secret sense of satisfaction.

Timothy cleared his throat, "Mr. Valencia, you are quite something. However, Mary and I are not in the kind of relationship you imagine. It's better not to misunderstand."

He knew Antonio had a vast network and could easily find out about his marriage to Mary if he wanted to.

Antonio recalled the information he had gathered and combined it with Timothy's denial. He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Mr. Reed, I have seen your resume. When you graduated, many top institutions abroad were eager to have you, right? If you had gone there, the salary and benefits would have been much better than now. I'm curious, Mr. Reed, why did you so firmly decide to stay in Marshall City?"

Timothy took a sip of water and calmly said, "Well, it's simple. I just wanted to serve my country."

After saying that, he and Antonio exchanged a look, both with a hint of a smile in their eyes.

Antonio nodded and didn't ask further.

Since his purpose for this visit was achieved, he wasn't that interested in other people's private matters.

With the business done, Timothy got up to see Antonio out.

Suddenly, Timothy thought of something, hesitated a bit, but still said, "Mr. Valencia, those kinds of jokes are fine between us, but please don't say them to Mary."

Antonio was speechless. Did Timothy think he was so bored that he would tease Mary for no reason?

Before he could speak, Timothy added, "After all, she has someone she likes. I'm afraid it might cause misunderstandings and unnecessary burdens for her."

His tone was melancholic. Antonio looked back in confusion, only to find Timothy's gaze fixed in the distance.

Antonio instantly understood. Timothy's last sentence seemed not to be confiding in him but rather talking to himself.

But Antonio suddenly thought of Sarah's certain expression, saying that Mary liked Timothy.

He was still a bit puzzled, "Are you sure?"

Timothy lowered his eyes and quickly returned to his usual indifferent demeanor. "Of course, I wouldn't get something like that wrong. Besides, I only have brotherly care for her, nothing more."

Antonio was half-convinced, "Alright, I got it. It seems only Sarah and I have pure love!"

Timothy remained silent.

After leaving Timothy's office, Antonio returned to Sarah's ward.

Hearing the door open, Sarah didn't even look up and softly spoke. "You're just in time. I was about to go see Cynthia. Will you come with me? I have a feeling Cynthia will wake up soon!"

She was excited, working on some crafts she had made out of boredom these past few days. "If Cynthia wakes up, she will definitely like these woven sunflowers, right? I remember when I went to collect her things, I saw many handmade items, including a knitted bunny. Very cute."

Although she hadn't known Cynthia for long, from the little details, she could tell Cynthia was a woman with a great sense of life.

Before meeting Cynthia, Sarah rarely had the patience for crafts, but during her time in the hospital, she suddenly wanted to learn these things.

Seeing the handmade turtles and woven tulips on the bed, she felt closer to Cynthia.

It was as if she could also get closer to the late Carol.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Not getting a response for a long time, she turned her head in confusion, her eyes reflecting the glow of the sunset, gentle and firm.

Antonio suppressed his thoughts, walked to the bedside, and picked up a handmade flower basket. "Sarah, I just went to see Mr. Reed. He said we need to transfer Cynthia to another hospital."

Sarah was very surprised. "Transfer? So suddenly? But Cynthia hasn't woken up yet. Why transfer her? Is her condition getting worse? Can't they treat her here?"

Sarah's tone became anxious. Antonio's face changed, and he quickly hugged her. "Sarah, calm down. The hospital must have a reason for this decision."

Sarah squinted her eyes, "You are indeed very calm. Antonio, are you hiding something from me?"

Antonio felt guilty but didn't show it, "I'm not a doctor, so I naturally follow medical advice. Sarah, why are you doubting me again?"

Sarah pouted, thinking that was true.

But the transfer notice was a bit sudden, and Antonio had just joked about transferring yesterday. Sarah couldn't help but overthink!

She sighed, "No, I need to ask Mr. Reed. Cynthia hasn't woken up since the surgery. There must be something wrong. Besides, I'm her family. Why did you know before me?"

Antonio said, "I just happened to run into Mr. Reed, and he told me. I also asked carefully. Cynthia's surgery was indeed very successful, and there is no major danger now. Mr. Reed mainly performs surgeries, so for post-operative recovery, he suggested finding a specialized hospital. I thought of a hospital in Capital City. We can transfer Cynthia there."

Sarah finally felt relieved and complained, "Can you finish your sentences at once? You scared me to the extreme."
