Chapter 233 Sarah, I'll Miss You
Antonio continued to explain, neither cold nor indifferent.
"Valencia Inc. is doing well now, isn't it? The service staff at home knows that your health isn't as robust as before. With me here, you can rest assured and take good care of yourself. Why tire yourself out like this? I've already handled this matter. You should go back and rest earlier. Don't worry about it anymore."
He didn't pay any attention to Lucien, who was clearly furious. His words had no flaws or unreasonable arguments, leaving Lucien with no grounds to refute.
But deep within Antonio's eyes, an unparalleled coldness shone through. He always remembered how Lucien repeatedly targeted Sarah. He would never allow him to continue his scheming behind their backs. He wouldn't allow Sarah to suffer any injustices under his protection. Even if he and Sarah were currently arguing, this wouldn't change.
Taking control of those shares and stripping Lucien of his power would prevent him from interfering in Antonio's influence within Valencia Inc., and he wouldn't have the ability to meddle in his own relationships either.
Furthermore, Antonio hoped that this move would teach Lucien a lesson and make him restrain his behavior so he wouldn't repeatedly challenge Antonio's bottom line.
Although he had raised him and was his elder, if he kept hurting the person he loved the most, then those deeds of raising him would no longer be considered kindness!
Antonio wouldn't care about their relationship anymore!
Seeing Antonio's determination, Lucien knew that saying anything more would be meaningless, so he angrily left. He marched all the way out of Valencia Inc. and headed straight for the parking lot. No one looked at him, and now he even had his own power stripped away. When he got in, he slammed the car door shut with a loud bang.
'It seems like Antonio can't stay anymore.'
His own raised wolf cub ended up biting him in the end! This was something that no hunter could tolerate!
A glimpse of sinister intent flashed in Lucien's eyes.
"Well, at least I already have a great-grandson..." he said coldly, as if he had never considered Antonio as his own family but merely a tool.
The butler, perplexed, asked, "What do you mean, sir?"
"Anyway, I won't let Valencia Inc. fall into the hands of outsiders! Since Antonio refuses to listen, then Valencia Inc. no longer needs him!"
...
After Lucien left, Antonio hurriedly left the office and found Sarah.
"Let's go home."
Sarah slightly pursed her lower lip, her eyes indifferent, and she sidestepped Antonio, grabbing her bag and walking away.
Antonio thought she had agreed to go home, so he quickly followed. Little did he know, once they left the company, Sarah walked to the side of the street on her own, hailed a taxi, smoothly opened the door, and said the address to the driver.
Antonio was bewildered. "What are you doing?"
Still not glancing at him, Sarah left him standing there and said to the driver, "Drive, please."
As the taxi gradually disappeared in the distance, Antonio's heart sank bit by bit. He didn't understand why things had turned out like this. Perhaps there really was nothing between Sarah and Asa anymore, at least for now.
But Asa was certainly not a good person. He was a man who understood how men looked at things!
His temples throbbed, and his face became as stormy as a summer thunderstorm. No matter what, he wouldn't allow Sarah to disappear from his life again. Even if she didn't want to, he would make her change her mind!
His gaze turned icy cold, and he drove after Sarah without hesitation. Fortunately, the destination of the taxi was the villa, not somewhere else, which relieved Antonio a little.
Although Sarah had returned to the villa, it seemed that she had made up her mind to give Antonio the cold shoulder, firmly refusing to talk to him first.
…
A very strong sense of tension permeated the villa for several days in a row, affecting everyone.
Sarah also went to work and came back on her own.
On this day, she needed to report to Antonio about work-related matters. The two of them, who hadn't spoken to each other in a long time, met each other's gaze.
Sarah felt that Antonio's complexion seemed much paler, and there were faint signs of dark circles under his eyes. He must not have been sleeping well.
She glanced away, pretending not to see these, but her heart couldn't help but ache a little. It seemed that he wasn't doing as well as he appeared on the surface.
"Recently, Project Z has been progressing smoothly, and we need to go to another province for the final group discussion with S Planning."
She suppressed her emotions, handed Antonio the neatly organized work matters, and only talked about work from start to finish without mentioning anything else.
Antonio interrupted her words directly, "You'll accompany me."
"Mr. Valencia, it would be better to find someone else. I don't have the relevant experience for this group project and won't be of much help to you."
Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she immediately took two steps back, showing courtesy and reason.
"You just need to take care of my itinerary, I'll handle the rest."
"I don't want to go."
Antonio looked at her, pouting and sulking, and suddenly smiled. 'So adorable.'
After not talking or getting close to her for so many days, he couldn't hold back anymore. He approached her step by step, his gentle and slender hand caressing her slender waist.
Sarah trembled all over, hurriedly trying to push his hand away. "Antonio."
However, Antonio tightly restrained her movements. "It's alright if you don't go, but it has been a long time since we last saw each other. I'll miss you."
