Chapter 498 Jumping Off a Building

"What's the matter?"
"Mommy wants you to go abroad to take care of Uncle for me. He's alone out there, and I'm worried."
Brian glanced at Antonio, then withdrew his gaze, "Mommy, don't you want to go yourself?"
Sarah pursed her lips, "Mommy wants to have a serious talk with your dad, to really think about our relationship. It's a long process, so I need you to go there first."
Brian nodded, "No problem, leave Uncle's matter to me. I'll take good care of him abroad. Mommy doesn't need to worry."
Brian patted his chest to assure her.
While looking at Brian, Sarah felt a wave of guilt, "I'm sorry, Brian. Even though both your parents are here, you still have to run around for this. I owe you an apology."
Upon hearing this, Brian shook his head, "Mommy, that's not right."
"I'm your eldest son, and I can stand on my own. I'm not like ordinary kids. It's my duty to share your worries, so why would you feel sorry?"
Brian frowned, pretending to be displeased.
Sarah held her son in her arms, affectionately touching his head, but her face showed no sign of relaxation.
She knew better than anyone that Brian going abroad was not about taking care of Brady for her.
It was the result of Antonio's autocracy and tyranny.
Her son could have stayed carefree by her side, but he had to encounter Antonio...
"Brian, you don't have to worry about things at home. Take good care of yourself abroad, don't tire yourself out, remember to eat on time, and call Mommy anytime."
Brian also hugged Sarah, "Mommy, you don't need to worry about me, you should take care of yourself."
Brian looked at Sarah, his eyes curving into a smile, "And, get along well with dad."
Sarah and Antonio looked at each other, their eyes filled with different emotions.
"Brian, Dad will take good care of your mom, and your little brothers and sister. Don't worry."
Antonio patted Brian's shoulder.
How could he bear to let his son go abroad alone?
But if he didn't do this, Sarah would definitely leave, and they would never have a chance to talk.
Sarah didn't know what to say, at this moment, she couldn't make any promises to Brian.
In the end, Sarah couldn't hold back, and tears streamed down her face.
Brian quickly wiped away Sarah's tears, "Don't cry, Mommy, I need to leave for abroad today. I should go home first and say goodbye to my little brothers and sister."
Sarah nodded, "Okay, we'll do as you say."
Antonio didn't stop him. He felt like crying too, but he held back his tears.
If he could, he would rather be the one to protect their home than Brian.
Antonio drove Sarah and Brian home.
Harper and the others were startled when they saw Sarah return.
Brian casually lied, "Mommy has already settled Uncle abroad. From now on, I'll be the one to take care of Uncle, can you guys take care of Mommy at home?"
Harper was a bit confused, "No problem, but Mommy, didn't you say you were going to be abroad for a long time? Why did you come back, and why is brother going this time?"
Sarah bent down and playfully pinched Harper's little nose, "Because Mommy needs to take care of Mr. Jerrett in the hospital. We'll go there together, okay?"
Antonio's heart skipped a beat. He looked at Sarah, with his eyebrows furrowed.
Sarah also looked at Antonio, her eyes full of warning.
Antonio understood that he had been outmaneuvered by Sarah.
He thought Sarah had compromised, letting Brian go abroad and moving back in, but in fact, Sarah couldn't possibly live under the same roof with him again. She wanted to stay in the hospital.
And the children were all witnesses, so Antonio had no way to refute.
"Alright, I came back to say goodbye. Remember to call me if anything happens."
Brian, acting mature, said goodbye to the children. He didn’t pack his luggage and traveled lightly. The whole family went to the airport by car.
Harper was okay at first, but as the departure announcements became more urgent, she finally couldn't hold back. With red eyes, she said, "Brian, you must call us often, and come back as soon as Uncle is better."
Ethan was also reluctant to part, "Bro, we will take care of home and wait for you to return."
Ryan nodded continuously, "We'll wait for you and Uncle to come back together."
Antonio held Sarah's hand tightly on the side, and Sarah held back the urge to slap him.
Antonio instructed, "Brian, call me when you land. I've arranged for someone to pick you up there."
Brian acknowledged, put on his small sunglasses, and waved goodbye to everyone.
The children huddled together, silently watching Brian board the plane. They were silent, but their concern for him was palpable.
No matter how you looked at it, this family was incredibly warm.
But only Antonio and Sarah knew that the rift between them could no longer be concealed. Every step they took was like a landslide, irreparable.
After sending off Brian, the children clamored to go to the hospital to see Mr. Jerrett.
"Mommy, we will help you take care of Mr. Jerrett. We promised bro to take good care of you."
Sarah responded, "Okay, we'll go to the hospital now."
Antonio glanced at Sarah and had to abandon his previous plan to hide Sarah for the time being. He sent them to the hospital as if nothing had happened.
On the way, except for the children's chirping, Sarah and Antonio didn't say a word to each other.
Kevin was originally a bit listless, but after seeing the three children, he immediately became excited. Whether it was an illusion or not, he seemed to look a lot more spirited.
The children were very close to Kevin, as if they were supposed to be. It was completely different from when they faced Victor before.
The three children made Kevin laugh so much that he couldn't close his mouth. The scene was incredibly warm.
Antonio was always standing at the door, and when he saw this scene, he couldn't help but smile faintly.
This was the life he had always wanted...
At this time, Sarah walked to Antonio's side, her expression very serious, "Come here, I have something to say."
Antonio was invigorated. He didn't know what Sarah was going to say, but the fact that she wanted to talk to him was always good.
So, he was somewhat excited, and followed Sarah to the rooftop, step by step.
Just as Antonio was about to ask Sarah what she wanted to say, he saw her stride over the railing of the rooftop!
