Chapter 250 Antonio, I'm competing with you!
Antonio's voice was very hoarse, carrying his uniquely masculine and charming magnetism.
In an instant, Sarah felt as though her heart had been tightly grasped, compelling her to trail his tall, straight figure and gaze into his intensely alluring deep eyes."I promise we'll return home safely."
She stared at him. Though she didn't have evidence at the moment, his words seemed to cast an invisible spell.
Before Sarah could react, she was pulled in Antonio's warm embrace and fell onto the soft mattress.
His slender yet powerful fingers delicately brushed away the strands of hair obscuring her face. As his breathing grew heavier, Sarah closed her eyes, blushing, while Antonio felt his own breath quicken.
He cupped her face, ready to kiss her, when an inconvenient knock sounded on the wooden door.
Sarah shivered and immediately pushed Antonio away, sitting up straight.
"Sarah, are you asleep?"
Richard's voice echoed behind the door.
Antonio's face darkened, and he even ground his teeth. 'That Richard! Not only does he covet Sarah on ordinary days, but he even came to ruin our intimate moment in the middle of the night!'
However, Sarah hurriedly went to open the door, seemingly wanting to take the opportunity to escape this heated and uneasy space.
"What's the matter? Do you need something?"
She opened the door, her heart still beating recklessly, and the warmth had yet to cool down.
"I thought of bringing you an extra blanket," Richard said as he stuffed a soft blanket into Sarah's arms.
She took it, looking somewhat stunned at the gesture.
From a reasonable perspective, she and Antonio were a married couple, and one blanket would suffice. But Richard went out of his way to bring an extra one, what could this mean...
Although Sarah felt a bit awkward due to his behavior, she still maintained a polite smile.
"Thank you."
"Mm, rest well."
Richard looked at Sarah in silence for a moment, then spoke a few more words before leaving.
Sarah looked at the extra blanket, feeling at a loss and somewhat resigned, and turned to close the door.
Antonio furrowed his brows and threw the soft blanket onto the bedside table next to him, obviously not intending to give it to Sarah. "What's his intention to have a married couple use separate blankets?"
He was clearly disgusted, but it seemed like a child's temper to Sarah.
She chuckled, "What are you saying? Maybe he's just worried that we might catch a cold or something. Besides, he knows we're married."
Sarah comforted him. After experiencing a life-or-death situation, she no longer resisted Antonio's reactions. Instead, she found them somewhat heartwarming.
It was as if he always cared about even the slightest details and was very concerned.
"Who knows..."
Antonio's gaze bore into Sarah, unabashedly possessive. His eyes brimmed with desire, an unsettling intensity radiating from within. It was akin to a predator fixating on its prey, enveloping her in an inescapable web of pressure.
Just as she was about to say something to comfort him, Antonio suddenly embraced her, resting his chin on her shoulder. She could vaguely sense his strong masculine scent.
"Hold on, what are you doing?" She hurriedly placed her hands on Antonio, feeling slightly flustered.
"You're too tempting. Just to be safe, I need to mark you." His lips slightly parted, his voice carrying a bewitching charm.
Sarah's heart thumped like a drum. Before she could fully comprehend Antonio's intentions, she felt a tingling and slightly painful sensation on her neck.
Her bright eyes widened abruptly. Before she could push Antonio away, he released her with a satisfied smirk on his lips.
She touched the spot where he had touched her, feeling like she had been brushed by something scorching hot. Her heart raced, and her neck and face turned crimson.
The next morning, Sarah awoke early and glanced at the mirror. Annoyance flickered across her face as she noticed the red mark on her neck, a result of Antonio's actions.
Instead of getting angry, he smiled, his eyes gentle like water.
After getting dressed, Sarah prepared to head out to find a way to repair her phone.
Just then, Richard and his mother returned from fishing. They coincidentally ran into her.
Richard immediately noticed the mark on Sarah's neck, and his pupils contracted, his emotions suddenly becoming tangled.
He couldn't ignore the growing feeling in his heart. The more he saw her belonging to someone else, the stronger the wave of jealousy surged within him. Yet, rationality cautioned him against succumbing to it...
For the past few days, Sarah had been lighting campfires on the beach, hoping to attract attention from the outside.
Antonio was about to go help, but a voice suddenly sounded from behind, "Antonio, wait."
Richard wore a serious and gloomy expression, as though he had been suppressing something for quite some time.
Antonio's eyes flashed with a hint of displeasure, and his gaze became even colder. "Is there something you want?"
Richard straightened his back, gritting his teeth as he faced Antonio's intimidating gaze, all the while his peripheral vision lingering on Sarah's graceful figure.
Richard took a deep breath, as if making a determined decision. His gaze, brimming with defiance, fixed firmly on Antonio. "Dare to compete with me?"
