Chapter 668 Is He Going to Die?
Benjamin was freaking out about Sarah, totally forgetting he was at his own engagement party.
He hung up and called Sarah again, ignoring the awkward emcee and confused guests.
The whole point of his engagement to Isabella was just to keep Sarah safe!
With Sarah missing, how could he go through with it?
Benjamin was losing it!
Meanwhile, Sarah had no clue that leaving her phone in Brady's room was driving Benjamin nuts.
The kids were napping, and Brady was woken up by the ringing phone but couldn't answer it.
He just watched as the phone rang and stopped over and over.
Eight missed calls.
Benjamin was at his breaking point, imagining the worst about Sarah, his anxiety skyrocketing.
He ripped off his bow tie and bolted out of the engagement venue!
The emcee was stunned.
"Mr. Harrington! The bride is over here!"
The ceremony was about to start, and now the groom was running away!
Benjamin didn't stop, disappearing in front of everyone.
The guests were shocked and started buzzing with chatter!
"Is the groom running away?" People started talking, some even filming the scene.
Isabella was stunned! She had no idea what was happening.
Watching Benjamin disappear, it felt like he was vanishing from her life.
Her heart ached, and she shouted, "Benjamin!"
But he didn't respond.
She went from the happiest bride to feeling like a fool.
Right now, Benjamin could only think about Sarah.
'If Asa really kidnapped Sarah, what would Harold do? Sarah can't be harmed! No way!' Benjamin thought.
He sped to Sarah's villa, and upon reaching, heard the kids laughing inside.
He didn't care about anything else and started pounding on the door.
Ethan heard it first and called Ryan and Harper to come downstairs with the housekeeper to open the door. They were stunned to see Benjamin standing outside the door and said, "Mr. Harrington?"
'Why is he here? Did Mommy invite him?' the kids thought.
Benjamin glanced at the three kids, his eyes lingering on Ryan, a look of shock crossing his face.
'Isn't he the kid who had a rough time on the roadside and later asked me to invest in the racetrack? Could he be Sarah's child too?' he wondered.
But he couldn't think about that now. Benjamin crouched down, urgently asking, "Do you know where your Mommy went?"
Ryan already knew this man wasn't Antonio and signaled Ethan not to say anything.
Sarah was out.
The kids couldn't tell if Benjamin had bad intentions.
But Harper, unaware, blurted out, "Mommy went to Savoury Pavilion to buy some food. We're celebrating with Uncle."
Ryan and Ethan couldn't stop her in time.
'Oh no, she told him!' they thought.
Benjamin repeated "Savoury Pavilion" to himself and said, "Alright! You guys go back inside! If anyone else knocks, don't open the door!"
He was worried Asa might harm the kids.
Harper said, "Okay."
Ryan and Ethan wanted to say more, but Benjamin had already driven off. They were left confused.
Benjamin set the GPS and floored it.
Savoury Pavilion was a restaurant in a quiet part of the old town, with the highway being the only way there.
'Could it be...? He didn't dare think.
Benjamin's grip on the steering wheel tightened, wishing he could fly to her side.
To his dismay, as he approached the highway, he saw an endless traffic jam ahead.
He slapped the steering wheel in frustration.
Rolling down the window, he heard people talking.
"There was a serious accident up ahead. This jam will last a while!"
"Yeah! Several cars crashed, blocking the main road. I wonder how the people in the cars are."
"It was really bad! Didn't you see the video they took?"
"A pregnant woman died on the spot! It's so tragic!"
Benjamin stopped listening after that.
The words "pregnant woman" and "died on the spot" echoed in his ears. A lump formed in his throat, and his legs went weak.
'Sarah...No! It can't be!' he thought.
Benjamin took several deep breaths, then flung open the car door, running forward like a madman.
A voice in his head kept denying it, insisting it couldn't be her!
But another part of him was breaking down under the tension.
"Sarah"
"Sarah!"
Benjamin weaved through the long line of cars, muttering her name, his whole being in a daze.
He didn't know how long he ran, but he finally neared the accident scene!
Benjamin's body trembled, speeding up.
But just then, a sudden "bang" was heard.
A motorcycle from the other side of the highway crashed into him!
Benjamin didn't have time to react as he was thrown into the air uncontrollably.
He wondered if he was going to die.
'What about Sarah? Who is going to save her now?' he thought.
As he hit the ground, images of Sarah flashed through his mind, scenes from dreams and ones he'd never seen, surreal like a hallucination.
Then Benjamin hit the ground again, the images stopping abruptly as his head slammed into the edge of the road.
He reached out, as if trying to grasp something.
But in the end, he caught nothing, his empty hand falling limply.
A large pool of blood spread from his head.
