Chapter 647 It Was All a Conspiracy

Seeing his unresponsive state, Isabella quickly wiped her tears and ran outside. She bumped into Daniel, who was returning with dinner, and urgently said, "Benjamin is awake, but he seems off! I'll go get the doctor; you stay with him!"

Daniel was so excited that he started crying.

He hurriedly walked into the ward. "Mr. Harrington! You're finally awake!"

He placed the items he was carrying on the nearby table and wiped his tears. "If you hadn't woken up, the colleagues at the company would have no idea what to do."

Benjamin calmed himself down, his eyes finally moving. He asked in a hoarse voice, "What happened at the company?"

Daniel instinctively glanced at the door; Ms. Moore hadn't returned yet.

However, with so much news online, it wouldn't be hidden for long.

He sighed. "During your coma, there was indeed a sudden situation. The Valencia family group has become more challenging to deal with. They collaborated with BrianTech Solutions Inc and have resolved their funding issues. Now, online reviews are gradually becoming favorable for their company, and its stock market has returned to normal."

It would not be easy to take any action against the Valencia family group now.

Daniel had expected Mr. Harrington to have a significant reaction, but he didn't. He didn't even lift an eyelid, his dark eyes thoughtful.

Benjamin remembered that Alex was from BrianTech Solutions Inc.

Moreover, it was during that dinner that Alex had revealed that the boss of BrianTech Solutions Inc had a close relationship with Sarah and that he had even given her a ring.

So, it wasn't surprising that this foreign company would come to the Valencia family's aid during their crisis.

However, he couldn't help but feel curious.

'What is the relationship between Sarah and that person?'

He glanced at Daniel and said calmly, "Since that's the case, let's just wait and see for now. This matter doesn't have any substantial impact on the company. We'll plan further after I get discharged."

"I got it."

Although he agreed, Daniel was even more surprised.

Given Mr. Harrington's previous temperament, he would have found a way to retaliate in such a situation. When had he ever spoken of waiting and seeing?

But since Benjamin had made his decision, Daniel couldn't interfere.

Just as they finished speaking, Isabella walked in with the doctor, looking anxious. "Doctor, please check on him quickly."

Her eyes were red from crying, which made her look like a rabbit.

The doctor was a bit moved and said, "Don't worry, from the scans, there doesn't seem to be any big problem."

As he spoke, he bent down to give Benjamin a thorough examination. After removing the stethoscope, he said, "From the current situation, there's no serious physical harm, but the shoulder injury still needs proper care."

The shoulder was the most severely injured area.

Isabella was relieved. "Alright, thank you, doctor."

After seeing off the doctor, Daniel also left the hospital. As the special assistant to the president, his workload had increased significantly, requiring him to work overtime.

Just after Isabella had finished helping Benjamin with his meal, Harold called to inquire about his condition.

Benjamin held the phone in his right hand and glanced at Isabella indifferently.

It was evident that Harold had been in constant contact with Isabella.

Otherwise, Harold wouldn't have called immediately after her just woke up.

Isabella noticed Harold's gaze and looked back at him without any guilt. "I told Harold in advance because I was afraid he would worry after seeing the news. And sure enough, you woke up soon after."

Benjamin's eyebrows twitched slightly, but he said nothing.

Harold agreed, "Yes, if Isabella hadn't told me, I'd still be worried. Benjamin, you're a grown man, yet you still manage to get hurt on a construction site. You need to take care of yourself. If you get hurt again, Isabella and I will be extremely upset"

His voice sounded sincere, like a caring father concerned about his son's health, without a hint of pretense.

A glimmer of light flashed in Benjamin's eyes, and he suddenly said, "Dad, the incident seems to have jogged some of my old memories."

As soon as he said this, an eerie silence fell over both the phone and the room.

Harold didn't respond immediately, and even Isabella was momentarily stunned.

In reality, Harold's shock was far from calm, but he had to pretend nothing was amiss, forcing a smile. "It's good that you're regaining your memory. It means there's a chance your memory will fully recover. So, what have you remembered?"

His words were laced with subtle probing.

Benjamin noticed Isabella's sudden change in expression.

A fleeting, mocking smile appeared on his face and vanished so quickly that it seemed to be an illusion.

Isabella's face turned slightly pale.

Her self-control wasn't as strong as Harold's. Combined with the guilt from lying, she felt a chill run down her spine.

Every second seemed to pass by exceptionally slowly for her.

Finally, Benjamin spoke, "Nothing special, just some college memories, all pretty mundane."

He kept an eye on Isabella's reaction, continuing to speak.

"I didn't realize I was quite popular in college. Two girls gave me love letters, but I turned them down." He chuckled lightly and said, "But that's all I can remember. It's strange, though. Didn't I go to college abroad? Why are my classmates in my dreams all Americans?"

Harold responded smoothly, "The school you attended is the best for American students studying abroad, so it's normal."

Benjamin nodded. "Oh, right! That makes sense."

Seeing his calm reaction, Isabella and Harold both breathed a sigh of relief. They finally felt at ease.

However, Harold still wasn't entirely convinced and asked again.

"Son, are you sure you haven't remembered anything else?"

Benjamin's tone remained unchanged, and he even sighed lightly. "No, I wish I could remember more, but trying too hard gives me a headache."

"In that case, don't push yourself," Harold said, actually feeling relieved but pretending to be very concerned. "You haven't fully recovered yet. Don't strain yourself with memories of the past."

Benjamin lowered his eyes. "I understand. Thank you, Dad."

After hanging up, Isabella still looked a bit uneasy. She tucked him in. "Benjamin, you should rest now. It's not good to overexert yourself."

She then prepared to leave, saying, "I'm going to the restroom."

Benjamin closed his eyes. "Alright."

As the sound of her footsteps faded, he opened his eyes and looked towards the door. His eyes, merging with the night, seemed to harbor a storm.

It was now clear that Harold and Isabella were concealing a sinister plot from him.

But the more critical the situation became, the less he could alert them.

Thinking about their reactions just now, Benjamin felt a chill in his heart.
