Chapter 354 Brian is the most Similar to Antonio
Sarah pushed Antonio's hand away. "They've already started using drones, and I can't let the children suffer with us."
"I will handle this matter. Please trust me. You can't leave," Antonio knew that Sarah wanted to leave because of their argument. "Sarah, I apologize, but can you please not leave?"
"What else can you do besides apologizing? Even if you apologize, will you change? Will you choose to believe me?" Sarah had made up her mind, shouting for the children to pack up and leave.
Antonio grabbed Sarah's hand tightly.
Sarah looked at Antonio. "Do you still want to imprison me?"
Antonio quickly let go of her hand. How could he do that to Sarah again?
Sarah calmed her emotions. "There have been too many things happening recently. The journalists won't let go of this matter, and the children will only be put at risk by staying here. This is a good opportunity for us to calm down."
"Sarah, I don't mean to imprison you. I just don't want you to leave. Or we can move together to another place. Can we stay together without being separated?"
Sarah made up her mind. "Antonio, our separation now is for a better future together. Will you listen to me this time?"
Antonio slowly released his grip, restraining his reluctance. "Be careful out there. Take care of yourself. Call me if anything happens, and I'll be there immediately."
Sarah also felt reluctant to leave, but it was for the best. "Okay, take care of yourself too."
She entered the children's room and instructed Brian to hide in the suitcase. Originally, she had intended to only bring Ethan and Harper along. However, she couldn't bring herself to leave Ryan behind upon noticing his gaze fixed on her.
"Ryan, do you want to leave with me?"
Seeing how the journalists had started resorting to using drones and how Antonio wouldn’t be at home during the day, Sarah couldn’t be at ease if Ryan was left alone.
"I'm willing." Ryan took out a small suitcase he had already packed.
Although he was very reluctant to leave Antonio, he wanted to be with Harper. Thus, he had to choose to 'betray' Antonio.
Moreover, he could help his father change Sarah's mind by going with them. Only when they made up could they live together again!
Sarah left with the children, suppressing the urge to turn back and look at Antonio.
Harper and Ryan felt the same way, afraid they wouldn't be able to leave if they turned around.
Ethan tightly pressed his lips together, feeling indescribably sad.
Antonio watched them leave, standing alone in the empty house. Only Century Garden stood outside, looking at him pitifully...
"Mr. Valencia, Madam didn't let me accompany her. She insisted, and I..."
The driver knocked on the door and walked in. Antonio was sitting alone on the couch, his expression desolate and his eyes a hint of surprise. They had been together daily for so many years, but he had never seen Antonio like this.
In the past, despite the circumstances, Antonio always maintained a cold demeanor, seemingly impervious to anything coming his way. But now, he appeared utterly defeated, unable to pull himself together, no matter how much effort he exerted.
Antonio nodded silently, attentive to the sound of the car door opening outside. He swiftly rose from his seat and hurried into the room, grabbing a pair of binoculars and rushing to the window.
Peering through the small lenses, he caught sight of Sarah entering a taxi with the kids.
Inside the car…Harper sat beside Sarah and asked carefully, "Mommy, where are we going?"
Harper knew that there was no way to change Sarah's mind now. They could only follow her for the time being and find a time to comfort her later.
This question stumped Sarah, and she didn't know where they should go either.
Sofia was still at work, and they couldn't disturb her. Going to the company was out of the question as well.
Suddenly, Sarah felt a tinge of sadness—there was no place that truly felt like home in this vast city.
Sarah sighed deeply. Besides going to a hotel, there didn't seem to be any other option.
"How about we go find our godfather?" Harper suggested when Sarah didn't respond.
"No." Ethan refused outright.
Sarah had just argued with Antonio. If they went to find him now, wouldn't it confirm Sarah's mistake?
"Go to Century Garden."
Brian, who was sitting in the front seat, suddenly took out a stack of money from his wallet and handed it to the driver.
The driver was taken aback. "Kid, you can't spend your mommy's money without permission."
This was already a wealthy neighborhood, and Century Garden was another affluent area. The driver had been navigating these streets for years, serving more customers than his peers, yet he had never encountered such a generous gesture before.
Brian just glanced at the driver. "Consider it a tip."
The driver burst into laughter, thinking that Brian must be used to living extravagantly. He then asked Sarah, "Miss, should we go to Century Garden?"
Sarah hesitated. "Brian, why do we need to go there?"
"Mommy, just trust me," Brian lifted his little face.
Sarah didn't ask further. Brian always had unexpected surprises for her. Since he said to go to Century Garden, he must have a plan in mind.
"Let's listen to him and ask him for directions," Sarah said, forcing a smile toward the driver.
The driver was surprised. He hadn't expected that the little child sitting next to him would be the one making the decision.
During the journey, the driver couldn't help but tease a bit, "Kid, it seems like you're the one in charge at your house, huh?"
"Mommy decides," Brian responded calmly.
The driver always liked clever children, and he could tell from Brian's appearance that this child had a bright future ahead. "You seem to have the demeanor of a household head."
"Only when I become independent can Mommy relax. I am the older brother, and it's my responsibility," Brian answered earnestly.
Sarah smiled with relief upon hearing this.
Ever since he was young, Brian had been independent and unbelievably smart. Just by casually flipping through her books, he could remember all of the contents and apply the concepts he learned logically and correctly.
Now, seeing him in this mature, grown-up mindset, Sarah's heart was filled with joy.
Her child was always so outstanding.
But with these thoughts, Sarah couldn't help but feel a twinge of pain.
Among the triplets, Brian really resembled Antonio the most...
