Chapter 679 I Was Just Fooling Around, Sarah
Although Benjamin's tone was inquisitive, he was very direct in his demand.
Asa was shocked by his approach.
What was going on?
He thought Benjamin would be furious upon discovering Harold had someone tailing him. Unexpectedly, Benjamin actually said it was to his liking.
Asa gritted his teeth secretly. How ridiculous!
Harold was also taken aback momentarily.
'Asa has always been meticulous in his work and has never made any mistakes before. How does Benjamin discover him this time? He's useless!' Harold cursed inwardly.
But now that Benjamin had called, Harold couldn't say much. He chuckled awkwardly, "You found out? I was just worried about your safety and specifically asked him to protect you. Don't take it to your heart."
"How could I? I know you mean well. Thank you, Dad."
Benjamin's gratitude was sincere.
"But since he's here to protect me, it would be better if he stayed by my side. He could also help me with other things. Why hide and follow me around?"
With that, Harold had no reason to refuse. Almost through gritted teeth, he said, "He's indeed capable. I'd feel much more at ease with him by your side. Since you want him, hand him the phone, and I'll give him some instructions."
From another perspective, if Benjamin was indeed fine, Asa could better monitor him and Sarah by staying close.
Benjamin agreed straightforwardly and handed the phone to Asa.
The faint voice from the phone came through. While observing Benjamin's expression, Asa said, "Yes! I understand, boss."
After the call, he returned the phone to Benjamin.
Benjamin took it with a smile and affectionately put his arm around Asa's shoulder.
"From now on, we're friends. Following me is much better than following my dad. No need for so many rules." He took off Asa's hat and mask and said, "You won't need these anymore. Just do as you please."
Asa chuckled awkwardly, "Alright, thank you, Mr. Harrington!"
'It seems Benjamin really hasn't regained his memory. Otherwise, he would want to strangle me,' Asa thought.
However, just as Asa relaxed a bit, Benjamin suddenly looked at his face and frowned.
"Why do you look so familiar? Have we met before?"
Asa was startled and was about to say something when Benjamin suddenly touched his chin and said, "I remember now!"
"Wh-what?" Asa stammered.
"Have you been with Sarah before? Yes, I have a memory of seeing you with her. Do you know each other?" Benjamin pretended to ask.
Asa broke out in a cold sweat. "Mr. Harrington, you must be mistaken. Who is Sarah?"
"Tut, you really forgot?"
Benjamin patted his shoulder, acting like they were very close, and casually said, "Last time, at the flower shop in an alley, I was there to discuss some business with her. I saw you from a distance, and you seemed quite familiar with her."
His tone was like reminiscing with a friend.
Not sure how to respond, Asa laughed after a while.
"Oh, that!" He frowned as if annoyed. "It's infuriating! Sarah wouldn't let me go, insisting I was someone she knew, but that person is already dead!"
Benjamin raised an eyebrow. "So that's it. I thought you were close."
Asa completely let his guard down. As long as Benjamin didn't remember the past, he was absolutely safe.
"I don't know her at all. But speaking of which," He looked at Benjamin, still wanting to test him. "I remember Sarah being quite pretty. Is she someone you like?"
Benjamin smirked wickedly and said, "Like? I was just interested in her before and wanted to have some fun. You know how men are, right?"
Of course, Asa understood.
Asa was extremely jealous.
Fun?
He wanted to have fun too.
But he had never succeeded!
Asa smiled, half sincere, half insincere. "You're right. Sarah does look quite tempting."
Asa glanced at him again and smiled awkwardly, "You don't mind me saying that, do you?"
Benjamin's eyes were deep, like a storm passing through, and he looked at him with a half-smile.
After a while, he answered indirectly, "Any woman I've been interested in is, of course, the best."
Asa didn't sense anything wrong and breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'm glad you don't mind."
He was completely relaxed now.
The thought of Benjamin and Sarah's situation made him feel very pleased.
He would never forget that time in the hotel when he almost succeeded!
But Benjamin came and ruined it, beat him near to death, and sent him to jail!
But so what?
Now, they didn't even recognize each other!
How absurd! The man who once loved Sarah deeply now said she was just for fun!
Asa really wanted Sarah to hear this!
He licked his lips maliciously and said, "Mr. Harrington, how is Sarah in bed? Is she sexy?"
Benjamin looked at his fantasizing face, wanting to kill him.
But Asa didn't notice Benjamin's hand clenching tightly at his side.
He realized something was wrong when Benjamin didn't answer.
Asa realized that he had said something wrong.
Asa's heart skipped a beat. "I'm sorry, Mr. Harrington. It's just been so long since I've been with a woman."
Benjamin returned to normal and responded casually, with his face showing no emotion.
Then he suddenly smiled and nodded towards the side. "In that case, let me take you to have some fun now. Consider it a perk from me. How about it? Get in the car!"
