Chapter 283 The CEO Couldn't Possibly Be Her Son, Right?

Antonio lowered his voice yet couldn't suppress the anger inside him.

"Antonio, I don't appreciate you belittling my friend like this!" Sarah pinched Antonio from behind, a warning in her gesture.

However, Antonio simply pulled Sarah into his embrace as if asserting his dominance. "Then let me ask you, do you really like that sapphire or prefer the things I give you?"

"Hmm, let me think about that. The sapphire is so beautiful!" Sarah deliberately teased Antonio, enjoying seeing him jealous.

Antonio held Sarah's waist and pulled her closer. "Beautiful? Why don't I find it appealing?"

Sarah tenderly wrapped her hands around Antonio's neck, leaning gently against his body. Her eyes overflowed with affection and tenderness for the man who belonged to her alone."I don't love the gift itself." Sarah pulled on Antonio's earlobe. "I love the person who put thought into it. No amount of sapphires can replace that person."

Antonio's heart warmed. He leaned down and kissed Sarah passionately, so deeply that he didn't even know what he would have done if there weren't so many people around.

"Hey, cut it out!" Sarah blushed and gently patted Antonio's shoulder. "Go greet the guests already."

"I just wanted to greet you," Antonio persisted, his eyes filled with unrestrained desire.

Sarah immediately changed her expression and pushed Antonio away. "Let go already! So many people are watching. Don't make us a laughingstock!"

Antonio knew very well that he couldn't do anything inappropriate at their children's birthday party. He had a sense of propriety.

"Alright, I'll let go. But..." Antonio's lips curled slightly, and he raised his eyebrows. "Wait until we get home tonight. I'll show you what happens."

His words were full of ambiguity, making Sarah's already blushing cheeks turn even redder.

Harper, who was nearby, heard this.

"Hey, Daddy, why would you want to deal with Mommy when you get home at night? Daddy, you're not allowed to bully Mommy. Otherwise, my brother and I won't let you off the hook."

Harper's voice was not low, and coupled with the sudden pause in the music, it made quite a few people hear her words.

There was a moment of silence, with everyone trying hard to hold back their laughter.

Sarah and Antonio felt instantly embarrassed. Sarah nervously stomped her foot. "Harper, stop making things up."

Antonio was also at a loss for words. He quickly walked before the crowd to ease the awkwardness. "Um, welcome, everyone, to my children's birthday celebration. Please enjoy yourselves."

Now that Antonio had spoken, no one dared to make any witty comments.

Everyone raised their glasses to toast and wish the two kids a happy birthday, showing Antonio respect.

Deep down, Sarah understood that these people who came were not there for her sake or the

children's birthdays but to please Antonio. By making Antonio happy, they would naturally gain more resources.

However, Sarah noticed carefully that every word Antonio spoke was inseparable from their two children. Especially when it came to Ethan winning the math competition, he would always find a way to show off.

Ethan and Harper felt a little embarrassed on the side since they had experienced this kind of thing many times before. Winning championships seemed like a common occurrence and didn't deserve such boasting.

But Antonio didn't think so. In his eyes, every excellent thing his children did was worth showing off. Antonio practically repeated it to every person who came to the birthday party until everyone understood the position Ethan and Harper held in his heart before he could stop.

Sarah had been watching from the side and knew in her heart that Antonio's boasting was not excessive. The main purpose was to let everyone know. These two sudden children held no less importance in his eyes than Ryan.

The party was halfway through, and all eyes were on the two children, particularly Ethan, who had caught everyone's interest. After all, they were eager to learn about Ethan's trophy collection.

Antonio felt extremely proud, as if showing importance to Ethan and Harper meant showing respect for himself.

At this moment, Alex received a message, and a smile crept onto his lips. "Ethan, Harper, your gifts have arrived too."

Harper's eyes sparkled with anticipation. "Really? So where are our gifts?"

"The gifts have been delivered to your villa. Can you wait until tonight to open them yourselves? It will be a surprise."

"Okay then, I won't even tell Mommy."

Sarah always respected her children and would never easily intrude on their belongings.

After the party, Ethan and Harper hurried back home. They were surprised to find a massive gift box waiting at the entrance, requiring two or three people to carry it to their room.

Ryan circled the gift box and asked, "Who on earth sent you two such a big gift?"

Ethan and Harper were also a little confused.

What could this be?

"Let's open it and find out." Ethan untied the ribbon and removed the wrapping paper from the top of the box.

Just as Harper was about to use a knife to cut open the box, it suddenly opened by itself!
