Chapter 860 Is She Going to Take Antonio Away?

Ryan came to the company specifically to find Francis.

He left school early today and inexplicably wanted to share the craft he made at school with Francis as soon as possible.

Ryan patted his small backpack twice and walked inside enthusiastically.

However, before he even entered the building, he was stopped by the security guard. "Stop right there!"

"Kid, this is not a place for you to play around. Go! Play somewhere else!"

Ryan frowned, looking at the security guard's expression and immediately understanding that he had never been to the company before, so the security guard didn't recognize him.

"I... I'm here to find my dad."

"Then tell me, who is your dad?"

"My dad..." Ryan hesitated for a moment. If he were to be serious, both Antonio and Francis were his dads, and Brian was also around.

But Antonio had gone to the hospital with Sarah, so he probably wasn't at the company, and today he mainly wanted to find Francis.

Thinking of this, he said in his childish voice, "My dad is Francis."

The security guard's eyes widened. "Are you saying your dad is our Mr. Valencia?"

Ryan nodded heavily. "Yes."

"Kid, you sure know how to lie!"

The security guard's face showed undisguised mockery. "Then why did you hesitate just now? Could it be that you can't even remember your own dad's name?"

"Are you here to cause trouble on someone's orders? Get out of here! Don't bother me while I'm working!"

He waved his hand to shoo Ryan away, as if he were driving away something dirty.

Ryan felt a bit hurt and was about to speak when a clear voice sounded from the side, "Why are you treating a child like this?"

Both he and the security guard were stunned and turned their heads simultaneously.

Isabella, holding a freshly bought coffee, walked over. "Regardless of whether his dad really works here or not, you shouldn't speak to a child in that tone. As a security guard of the company, you seriously affect the group's image."

Isabella's crisp voice carried no reproach, as if she were merely stating a fact.

The security guard certainly remembered Isabella, the newly appointed project manager. After all, Isabella was so beautiful that it was hard not to remember her.

"Ms. Moore, I understand." He smiled awkwardly. "So, what do you think..."

"You go ahead, I'll handle this," Isabella said.

From the moment she appeared, Ryan had already recognized Isabella. He had seen her photo on the news before, knowing she was Benjamin's fiancée.

Benjamin had now reverted to his name, Antonio, and they no longer had any relationship. Was this Isabella working at the Valencia Group?

Many questions crossed Ryan's mind, but from the surface, this Isabella didn't seem like a bad person.

He remained calm, thinking of probing for Sarah.

Isabella, meeting his gaze, was also curious about the adorable Ryan. "Is your dad really here? I can take you to find him."

Ryan blinked his watery eyes and nodded, "He is here."

Isabella found Ryan's gaze a bit strange. Why was he staring at her like that?

But since he had said so, she might as well take him inside to check.

After all, a child couldn't do anything bad.

She smiled, "Then come with me."

"Okay, thank you."

They entered the elevator.

Isabella initially wanted to hold Ryan's hand, but sensing his wariness, she refrained from any extra actions. Once they reached upstairs, she asked, "What's your dad's name? Can you tell me now?"

Almost as soon as she finished speaking, the glass door not far away opened from the inside.

Francis wheeled himself out.

Ryan's eyes lit up, and he ran over, shouting, "Dad!"

Isabella was silent.

She looked incredulously at Ryan's small figure as he threw himself at Francis, then took off his small backpack and placed it in Francis's lap, pulling out a handmade craft from it.

Francis already had a child. But on second thought, it wasn't that surprising.

Isabella's lips moved. She wanted to greet them, but the father and son were so immersed in their world that they didn't seem to notice her presence. It seemed neither of them cared much for her.

Isabella lowered her head with a self-deprecating smile and turned to leave.

Francis, having just opened the door and been pounced on by Ryan, indeed hadn't noticed anyone else.

He looked at the handmade little house in his hands, slightly squashed in the backpack. Ryan tried to fix it a bit, restoring it to its original shape. "Dad, look, this is the craft I made."

Francis, looking into those expectant eyes, smiled and affirmed, "You did a great job. When I was your age, I was only playing."

"Really?" Ryan's eyes showed a bit of pride. "The teacher also said I did the best!"

That was why he wanted to bring it to show Francis. After all, Francis had never seen his crafts before.

"Really." Francis was telling the truth and also wanted to build a good relationship with Ryan. He gently patted his head and said, "You're so amazing. I should reward you. Is there any gift you want?"

After a few words, the atmosphere between the father and son had indeed eased a lot, and the previous days' estrangement had completely disappeared.

Ryan felt much closer to him.

Ryan thought for a moment and said, "Dad, can I save this gift for later?"

"Of course." Francis nodded gently. "You can redeem it from me anytime."

He held Ryan's hand and walked towards his office, asking, "Did you come here alone? Why didn't you call me to come down and get you?"

"Oh, Dad," Ryan suddenly remembered. "Ms. Moore brought me up just now. Why is she working at the Valencia Group?"

Francis paused, "Her? Why can't she work at the Valencia Group?"

"Because..." Ryan hesitated, thinking that the past was over, so there was no harm in saying it. "She used to be Dad Antonio's fiancée when he was still Benjamin."

Francis was stunned for a moment, even his mind paused for a second.

No wonder she acted so strangely when she found out about his relationship with Antonio, and she became much colder afterward.

Now that they were in the office, Ryan wasn't afraid of being overheard and shared his concerns. "Dad, do you think Ms. Moore is working here because she can't let go of Dad Antonio?"

He touched his chin thoughtfully, not noticing Francis's expression, and continued, "She used to like Dad Antonio a lot. Could she be here to try to take him away from Mom Sarah?"
