Chapter 672 Hurry and Find Your Fiancée

He casually rested his fingers on the steering wheel and said, "I've been having awful headaches. Might need to hit the hospital a few more times. Doc thinks a fragment in my shoulder's pressing on a nerve, so I need a thorough check-up."

Harold quickly showed concern. "But some tests can be harmful. Maybe wait and see first."

If it was the chip, turning off the monitoring should stop it from affecting the nerve. No way could he let Benjamin get a thorough exam!

Benjamin seemed to consider this. "You're right. I'll wait a bit. If the pain sticks around, I'll get checked."

"Alright, let me know if you feel unwell. Otherwise, I won't be at ease," Harold said.

"Thanks, Dad," Benjamin replied.

They chatted a bit more, each with their own agenda, then hung up.

Benjamin mulled over Harold's words, his expression growing more sarcastic. Harold really did care!

But to Benjamin, Harold was too confident.

He thought he had handled it perfectly, but he actually gave away a lot.

Benjamin's face stayed blank as he smirked. Just as he was about to put away his phone, he saw a bunch of missed calls from Isabella.

At that moment, the phone rang again.

Benjamin glanced at it and promptly blocked Isabella's number.

He then tossed the phone onto the passenger seat and caught a glimpse of himself in the rearview mirror.

A familiar yet strange face looked back.

There was an ugly scar at the corner of his eye.

Even his eye color had changed.

Harold really went all out to change him, wanting Antonio to disappear, leaving only Benjamin's shell as his puppet.

Benjamin had never hated someone so much!

Meanwhile, Sarah had to reorder the dishes because the previous ones were ruined, and by the time the restaurant prepared them, it was much later than expected.

The kids rushed out when they heard the door open to help carry the things.

Sarah felt a bit guilty and asked, "Are you guys hungry?"

If it weren't for Benjamin, they might have already finished eating.

Ethan smiled and said, "No, Mom. The nanny made us some desserts earlier, so we're not hungry. But the food you brought back smells so good! I think I'm hungry again!"

Harper and Ryan laughed and added, "Yeah, Mom, no wonder Uncle likes that place. It smells delicious!"

"Yes, go call Grandpa for dinner! Once everything's ready, we'll have Uncle come down," Sarah said.

Kevin came downstairs, happily chatting with the kids. Sarah watched, feeling touched as she set the table and listened to them talk.

While Sarah was busy plating the food, Harper suddenly remembered something. "Mom, Mr. Harrington came looking for you today!"

Sarah paused. "What for?"

Harper shrugged, looking puzzled. "I don't know. He just asked where you went and seemed really anxious. Then he left."

Sarah nodded, not saying much. 'Did he really have something important to discuss today?' she wondered.

Still puzzled, she instinctively turned on the TV. Kevin liked having it on as background noise while eating.

As soon as the TV was on, Sarah saw news about a chain car accident near Savoury Pavilion. A pregnant woman had died from severe bleeding on the spot!

Sarah's eyelid twitched. She thought of Benjamin's unusual behavior today and a guess formed in her mind. 'Did he think the pregnant woman in the accident was me and, worried, fled the engagement party?'

'No!' she screamed inwardly. It seemed too far-fetched. Those guests were all big shots from the Capital, and Isabella wouldn't allow it. Benjamin wasn't crazy.

Sarah shook her head, dismissing the thought. After all, it had nothing to do with her.

Not long after, before Brady even came down, the doorbell rang again.

The servant went to open the door and soon returned with a guest, looking a bit awkward. "Ms. Miller, you have a visitor."

Everyone looked up, surprised. Both Sarah and Brain wondered, 'Why is he here?'

The kids looked at each other, curious why Benjamin had come again.

Benjamin had changed into new clothes, and his wounds were treated, looking neat and tidy.

Seeing no one speaking, he stepped forward with a smile. "Sarah, I accidentally spilled your food earlier and felt really guilty, so I came to apologize."

Sarah, a bit confused, stood up. "You..." She saw Benjamin carrying a large bag of groceries, fresh with meat and vegetables. This was unusual.

Benjamin had acted strangely in the afternoon, and now he was here with groceries, saying he wanted to apologize.

Sarah felt awkward. "No... it's not necessary." She pointed to the food on the table and said, "I already reordered, and we have enough to eat. Besides, I believe you didn't do it on purpose. You can leave now."

Benjamin shook his head decisively. "No way. Since I'm here, you must try my cooking."

He started to walk in, but Sarah quickly stepped forward to stop him. "Benjamin! I mean it. Why don't you take these groceries back and cook for your fiancée?"
