Chapter 145 Antonio Won't Tolerate Anymore
If Alex was the one who lied, he would make sure Alex knew the price of fooling him.
But if it was really Philip, there was no way he was just gonna sit back and watch!
Antonio floored it straight to the Valencia Villa and stormed right into the study.
Inside, Philip was behind the desk with a steaming pot of tea in front of him.
But he wasn't in the mood for tea. The steam rose around his deeply wrinkled, super gloomy face.
Just a bit ago, the butler had told him his guys had failed.
Sarah's kids were safe and sound.
Antonio had swooped in and saved them!
Seeing Antonio burst in like a hurricane, Philip's face got even darker. "You think this is your house, barging in like that?"
Antonio caught the sarcasm but didn't care. With a cold stare, he asked, "Was the accident at the kids' play area your doing?"
Antonio's emotions were all over the place—suspicion, anger, and a sliver of hope.
He hoped Philip would say no.
He didn't want to believe Philip was really going after Sarah and her kids.
But Antonio was let down immediately.
"It was me, so what?" Philip sneered, leaning back in his chair. "Sarah's kids didn't apologize to Ryan, so I handled it my way. Got a problem with that?"
Philip's smug attitude hit Antonio's last nerve.
His fists clenched, knuckles turning white.
It really was Philip.
Antonio roared, "If those kids had really gotten hurt, you'd be breaking the law!"
Right after he said that, there was a loud thud.
Philip slammed his fist on the table, his face twisted with rage. "I don't need you to tell me how to avenge Ryan!"
Just thinking about how Ryan almost got into big trouble made Philip shake with anger, yelling, "Don't forget, Ryan almost died!"
Disappointment washed over Antonio's face, mixed with heavy condemnation. He marched up to the desk. "Stop it, Ryan's illness has nothing to do with them!"
He was beyond disappointed.
The kids were innocent.
Even if they did something wrong, it wasn't on purpose. You don't go after little kids like that!
Antonio continued, "I get that you care about Ryan, but if those kids had really gotten hurt today, their families would be devastated too! Treat others how you want to be treated."
"Shut up!" Philip roared, knocking the kettle off the table, then pointing at Antonio and cursing, "It's not your place to tell me how to handle things!"
Philip was fuming, suddenly coughing violently, his face turning red like he couldn't catch his breath.
The butler outside saw this and rushed in to help Philip breathe. "Mr. Valencia, don't get angry. It's bad for your health!"
Philip gradually stopped coughing and, without waiting to catch his breath, kept cursing, "You protect those two brats, making Ryan suffer, and now you have the nerve to question me! Let me make it clear today, I won't let this go, and I will definitely deal with Sarah! Remember, I'm cleaning up the mess you left behind!"
Antonio looked at the mess on the floor and listened to Philip's angry rants, his face growing darker, his lips pressed into a thin line.
No matter how crazy Philip's words or actions were before, he had always chosen to endure.
But in the end, it only made Philip more and more outrageous.
Maybe he had reached his limit, or maybe it was because this involved Sarah, but Antonio decided he wasn't gonna take it anymore.
Antonio tried to keep his cool and said in a deep voice, "Sarah and her kids are innocent. Don't hurt them."
But this only made Philip even angrier. "How dare you stand up to me for Sarah? Antonio, do you know who gave you everything you have today? If he were still alive, you wouldn't be the president of the Valencia Group!"
Hearing this, a flash of pain crossed Antonio's deep eyes.
He let out a bitter laugh, gritted his teeth, and said heavily, "You've never really seen me as your grandson, have you?"
