Chapter 773 Executed a Hundred Times
Antonio nudged and rubbed against her, looking for some comfort.
Sarah was caught off guard, feeling his unusual emotions. She hugged his waist right away, responding with passion and soothing him gently.
Seeing Antonio so downhearted was a rare and heartbreaking sight for Sarah. She wondered what had upset him so deeply.
After a while, the heaviness lifting, Antonio continued to cling to Sarah, planting soft kisses on her face and lips.
Just as things were getting cozy, Mary and Timothy barged into the hospital room, still chatting about Cynthia's condition, but froze at the sight before them.
'This is so awkward! Are we interrupting them?' Mary and Timothy thought.
Sarah and Antonio heard the noise and looked up.
Mary stared in shock at Antonio holding Sarah, utterly astonished!
'That guy hugging Sarah isn't Paul! So who is he? Is Sarah having an affair? But Paul and Sarah seem so loving!' A million thoughts raced through Mary's mind, and she gritted her teeth, thinking their timing was really off! She turned to Timothy, winking, "Did we come to the wrong place?"
After saying that, Mary felt silly, her face scrunching up.
Timothy rubbed his forehead, staying silent.
Sarah was amused by her cute expression and walked over to take her hand, "No, you're in the right place."
"Sarah, we..." Mary kept glancing at Antonio, still feeling uneasy. "Sarah, I know I shouldn't pry into your private matters, but didn't Mr. White hire a caregiver? If she sees you two, won't she spread the word?"
Mary was genuinely worried for Sarah.
Sarah looked at her expression and found Mary quite amusing, unable to resist teasing her, "Do you think she'll tell?"
Mary wondered why Sarah wasn't worried at all. She leaned in and whispered, "What if she really does- what will you do, Sarah? But don't worry, I definitely won't say anything!"
Sarah couldn't help but laugh. "It's not what you think."
The two of them continued whispering on the side, while Antonio walked over to Timothy, his voice warmer, "Dr. Reed, thanks for your hard work during this time."
Hearing this voice, Timothy raised an eyebrow, his calm gaze falling on Antonio's face.
Antonio's appearance was now quite different from before, but Timothy wasn't too surprised. He had already suspected that this couple wasn't simple, and changing appearances wasn't particularly difficult.
"Mr. White, you're welcome." Timothy nodded slightly, his gaze shifting to Mary. "She has already thanked me on your behalf."
Antonio no longer needed to hide anything and said frankly, "I'm sorry, due to some previous events, I had to conceal my identity."
"Hello, I'm Antonio Valencia." He extended his hand, his eyes showing appreciation for Timothy.
Timothy's lips curled slightly as he shook hands, "I'm Timothy Reed."
Mary was stunned by their conversation, taking a while to recall the time when she saw Sarah wearing a human skin mask in the restroom. So her suspicions back then were true; Paul was also wearing a human skin mask!
"Now do you believe it?" Sarah nudged Mary's arm, a bit apologetic, "We were forced by circumstances before. Sorry, Mary, for deceiving you."
"It's okay." Mary quickly waved her hand, "I was somewhat mentally prepared for this."
Mary had initially assumed Sarah was with another man and just hadn't expected to see the real face of Paul.
Mary couldn't help but glance at Antonio again, genuinely amazed, "Sarah, your husband looks so much better now. I've never seen such an attractive person before."
Mary's thoughts flickered momentarily to the person who might arguably fit that description too standing beside her, , but she was too embarrassed to voice it aloud.
Timothy's face turned dark at her words, and he felt instantly displeased, unconsciously moving half a step closer to Antonio.
Sarah noticed this detail, her expression tinged with interest. "Don't you think Dr. Reed is also very handsome?"
Mary stole a glance at Timothy and quickly lowered her head.
'Timothy is handsome, indeed. But I don't dare look at him,' Mary thought.
Timothy's expression darkened further at her avoidance as he thought, 'She can openly look at and praise Antonio, but when it comes to me, she doesn't even want to look?'
Antonio walked over to Sarah, they exchanged a glance, knowing that Timothy and Mary were still awkward with each other.
Feeling the atmosphere was a bit awkward, Antonio said, "Once things are settled here, we need to properly thank you. Without your help taking care of Sarah and Cynthia, I wouldn't have been able to handle my affairs with peace of mind."
Timothy took a deep breath. "It's my duty."
Mary was so close to Cynthia that he couldn't help but assist.
"Exactly!" Mary winked at Sarah, adding, "We're all friends."
Besides, Mary already considered Cynthia like family.
After Mary said this, Timothy's expression softened a bit.
She said "we", including him in that.
"Alright." Sarah smiled, "Once Aunt Cynthia recovers, let's go out for a meal."
They chatted a bit more, and when it was time for Sarah's visit, she changed into sterile clothing and went into the ICU with Timothy.
After coming out, Timothy said, "All indicators are normal. There should be no major issues. The surgery was very successful. Congratulations."
Mary quickly praised, "That's because Dr. Reed is so skilled!"
"Yes." Timothy was in a good mood and just glanced at her and turned to leave. "I'll be on duty tonight. If you need anything, feel free to find me."
Sarah and Antonio saw Timothy to the door.
Mary, not wanting to be a third wheel, also left, "Sarah, I won't bother you two. I'll come back tomorrow when Cynthia is moved to a regular ward."
Sarah said, "Alright, go get some rest."
After everyone left, Antonio told Sarah about Harold being wanted.
"He won't get away!" Sarah was furious just thinking about it. "People like him deserve to be shot a hundred times over!"
