Chapter 56 Don't Blame Her for Being Ruthless
Sarah and Antonio were giving each other the death stare, practically shooting lasers from their eyes.
Harper was off to the side, looking like she was about to jump out of her skin. "Guys, chill out!"
Sarah finally let out a big sigh and rolled her eyes. 'Alright, fine. I'll go back. Not scared of him or anything!'she thought.
Brady was waiting on her, so she had to suck it up for now. Once she got her hands on that surveillance tape, she'd settle all the scores, old and new!
So, Sarah had no choice but to head home with Antonio.
They walked out of the hospital and into the parking lot. Just as they were about to hop in the car, Sarah suddenly felt woozy and almost face-planted.
Antonio's face went from zero to hero in a second, and he scooped her up like she was a feather.
"What the heck? Put me down!" Sarah's heart did a flip, and she started squirming.
"Hold still," Antonio growled. "If you keep wiggling, and you fall, that's on you."
Sarah was fuming, grinding her teeth. She'd rather eat dirt than let him carry her!
She fought back with everything she had, but the more she struggled, the tighter his grip got. Eventually, she had to throw in the towel.
Antonio gently set her in the passenger seat, gave her a quick look, and something flickered in his eyes.
Harper watched the whole thing, her eyes narrowing with a sly smile. "Well, this is interesting."
Little did they know, someone was snapping pics of the whole scene.
In a black car parked a bit behind them, a person was clicking away with a camera.
Lisa had just finished breakfast and was scrolling through her phone, checking out the latest designer bags. Suddenly, a bunch of messages popped up. She opened them and saw several photos.
She recognized them instantly and slammed her fist on the dressing table, making everything rattle.
In the first photo, there was Antonio with Sarah, the chick who had slapped her at the villa, and Harper!
Awesome, Antonio was now parading them around!
Lisa flipped to the next photo and almost lost it.
There was Antonio, carrying Sarah in his arms, with Harper grinning like a Cheshire cat.
They looked like a big happy family.
In the last photo, Antonio had this tiny, almost invisible smile on his face.
But Lisa saw it. And it made her blood boil.
Lisa glared at the photos, her face twisting with rage.
From the first time they met, she knew this shameless woman looked just like Sarah!
Sarah was dead, but now there was a stand-in. Sarah had always been a thorn in her side, and even in death, she was still a pain!
What was so special about Sarah that Antonio was so hung up on her? He'd rather find a lookalike than be with her.
She was better than Sarah in every way. Couldn't he see all the effort she had put in over the years?
Thinking about it, Lisa's grip on her phone tightened, almost crushing it.
No matter who Luna was, if she was in her way, she was going down!
After making up her mind, Lisa thought for a moment, and a sneaky look crossed her face.
She wiped off her heavy makeup and started over.
This time, she skipped the heavy eye makeup, blush, and lipstick. Instead, she gave herself dark circles and used foundation to make her lips look pale, making herself look totally worn out.
Looking at her pitiful reflection in the mirror, Lisa smirked wickedly and started practicing her sad face.
But that wasn't enough. She had the maid chop up two big plates of onions and set them on the dressing table.
Once everything was set, Lisa hit record on her phone.
An hour later, the video blew up.
In the video, Lisa looked like a ghost, pale with dark circles under her eyes. Tears welled up, and she seemed hesitant.
"To be honest, I didn't want to, but I have to spill the tea today."
Lisa bit her lip and went on, "I'm Lisa, fiancée of Antonio, the CEO of Valencia Group. A while back, our wedding got crashed by some girl. That girl is Antonio's love child, and her mom's a maid at his villa."
Halfway through, Lisa started to choke up. She wiped her tears and kept going, "I should've known. They've been all over Antonio. That kid even called me a mistress. Because of this, I've been dragged through the mud and haven't seen Antonio in ages. I'm about to lose it. Ryan's health is bad too, and he keeps asking for Antonio. I want to protect my family and don't want Ryan growing up without a dad. So I took Ryan to find Antonio and begged him to come back, but Luna hit me and even hurt Ryan! I know Antonio isn't like this. He's a stand-up guy. It's just that they're too sneaky! They're driving me nuts. I don't want to lose Ryan or my family."
By the end, Lisa was bawling her eyes out.
Antonio was already a hot topic, and this drama just added fuel to the fire. The video went viral, hitting the headlines everywhere.
