Chapter 116 Let's Figure It Out Together
To Sarah, those words felt like they came straight from the depths of hell, sending a shiver down her spine.
Antonio was already a wild card, and now he was clearly off his rocker. Who knew what he might do next.
And from what he said, it seemed like he was gunning for Alex.
No way, she couldn't let that happen.
This was between her and Antonio. No one else should get dragged into this mess.
Sarah opened her mouth to say something, but Antonio didn't give her the chance. He suddenly leaned in, his nose almost brushing her lips. "But before that, there's something I've been dying to do."
With that, he kissed her.
Sarah's body went rigid. She was trapped, overpowered by Antonio, unable to move an inch. All she could do was make muffled sounds, expressing her protest.
Antonio kissed her hard.
The room was thick with tension, while out in the hallway, Harper was pacing back and forth, freaking out.
She'd been jolted awake by the noise, jumped out of bed, and ran out to see what was going on.
She saw Antonio kick open the door and drag Sarah inside, followed by the sound of their argument.
At first, Harper eavesdropped outside the door, but soon she couldn't take it anymore, feeling both scared and worried.
The last thing she wanted was to see them fighting.
Antonio looked terrifying when he was mad, and she really wanted to help Sarah.
Right now, Harper was frantic but clueless, so she kept pacing in the hallway.
Not far away, Ryan looked just as freaked out as Harper.
He was leaning against the wall, looking like he was in trouble, his already pale face turning even whiter.
He'd never seen Antonio this angry.
It was scary as hell.
Ryan listened to the argument in the room, then looked at Harper's worried face, biting his lower lip anxiously.
He was actually scared to provoke Antonio, but he didn't want to see Harper worried either.
In the end, he clenched his cold little hand and decided to do something.
Ryan stepped forward and tugged on Harper's sleeve. "Don't worry, let's figure something out together."
Harper stopped pacing and looked warily at the serious-faced Ryan beside her.
He was willing to help her?
Could he be up to something again?
She couldn't worry about that now; the most important thing was to rescue Sarah quickly.
After a brief moment of hesitation, Harper didn't shake off his hand and nodded.
They started brainstorming. Harper pinched her chin, suddenly thinking of something, and looked at Ryan. Her gaze moved from his pale face down to his chest.
Last time she noticed that Antonio was very concerned about his health, so...
Ryan also thought of this, his eyes lighting up as he met Harper's bright eyes.
The next second, they nodded in unison, reaching a consensus.
Inside the room, the argument had stopped, replaced by Antonio's heavy breathing and Sarah's muffled sounds of resistance.
Sarah could easily guess what Antonio intended to do. At this moment, she was enveloped by Antonio's rage and madness, her heart pounding in her chest, desperately searching for a way to escape.
Antonio didn't care about anyone, especially her. What did he take her for, a toy to be played with at will?
If he really forced her today, she would definitely sue him for assault!
The memories of five years ago flooded her mind again. Thinking of Antonio being with Lisa and having Ryan made Sarah feel nauseous.
But Antonio was like a boulder, pinning her down, making her feel like a lamb to the slaughter, passively accepting his control.
Antonio felt Sarah's stiffness, but he had lost his sanity, with only one thought left in his mind: He couldn't let her leave again; she had to belong to him completely.
The more she resisted, the more determined he became.
Sarah gasped, her eyes widening.
A strong sense of despair surged in her heart, making her feel utterly cold.
At the critical moment, the door suddenly burst open with a thud, followed by Harper's anxious voice. "Something's wrong!"
The moment Antonio heard the door open, his back stiffened, and he stopped.
He was annoyed and was about to scold Harper, but her next words made his heart leap.
Harper's face was full of panic and fear. "He fainted. Ryan fainted!"
