Chapter 541 Mr. Harrington's Visit

Sarah couldn't quite tell if she was happy or sad about this speculation. Yet, addressing the matter promptly was indeed essential. If true, it would fulfill one of Antonio’s deep-seated wishes.

Sarah adjusted her skirt with determination in her eyes, "I won't be heading to the bakery today. If you're going, make it quick and then drive straight back to the office."

She then added, "And look up more detailed information on Benjamin,"

"What about you?"

"Me?" Sarah glanced at her watch. "I'll take a taxi home. Call me if you need anything."

Bob nodded reluctantly. "Alright, Ms. Miller."

He surveyed the expansive upscale hotel's surroundings. Anticipating the need to walk a bit to catch a taxi, he offered, "I'll escort you to find one."

"No need." Sarah pulled her phone out of her purse. "I’ll just use a ride-hailing app."

Bob didn't say anything else. Still, he waited until the car arrived and saw her off before driving back to the company to further investigate Harrington's family matters.

Sarah's ankle wasn't seriously hurt. After applying some spray medication that evening, she was nearly back to normal the next day and went to the office for work as usual.

When the Harrington Group secured the Pine Mountain project, it signified that Valencia Inc. had to shift their focus and come up with a new viable investment plan.

Right after the meeting ended, Count, the receptionist, rushed in, looking flustered. "Ms. Miller... Ms. Miller!"

Sarah packed up her desk and walked out of the conference room, giving her a composed glance. "What is it that's so urgent? Take it easy, no need to panic."

"The Harrington Group..."

Count strived not to lose her composure in front of Sarah but the person who had arrived was too imposing. "The CEO of the Harrington Group, Mr. Harrington is here. He asked to see you!"

Sarah stopped in her tracks. "Mr. Harrington?"

Benjamin? Why had he suddenly come to visit Valencia Inc.?

Count nodded vigorously. Recalling the commanding presence of the group that had arrived, her legs felt weak. "Yes... he's been waiting outside for quite some time now."

After all, without an appointment, it would normally be necessary to ask Sarah first.

Sarah's heartbeat skipped as she was caught off guard. She had intended to make her next move after Bob reported the results, but she didn't expect Benjamin to visit in person first.

"Please lead them to the executive lounge…" Sarah began, but her words were abruptly cut off by another voice, magnetic and cool, coming from not too far away.

"Ms. Miller, I hope my sudden visit has not disrupted your work," the man said.

Sarah glanced toward the voice and spotted a procession of impeccably dressed men striding confidently toward her.

The leader, with one hand casually tucked in his trouser pocket, exuded a rhythmic and assured stride. His demeanor was so chilly it seemed to lower the temperature in the vicinity.

The senior executives emerging from the boardroom halted mid-stride, momentarily stunned, before exchanging whispers among themselves.

"Is that a gentleman from the Harrington family? He looks like Mr. Valencia?"

"Yes, yes... I thought I was seeing things!"

"Pinch me! Isn't he just too similar?"

Everyone consciously made way, speaking in hushed tones, but the surprise and confusion in their eyes were unmistakable.

Benjamin scanned the crowd indifferently, taking in the exaggerated expressions on their faces. Since awakening from a car accident, he had become accustomed to the attention his striking looks and presence attracted, and such shocked gazes were no longer strange to him.

He had one goal today!

Benjamin raised an eyebrow, and in an instant, he stood before Sarah.

"Ms. Miller, I apologize for the intrusion."

Sarah stared blankly at the man before her, somewhat at a loss for how to react. Tension transmitted from her nerves to her brain, leaving her mind blank.

What was he doing here?

Yesterday, in the hotel banquet hall, she managed to maintain her composure upon seeing him.

But now, within Valencia Tower, the towering symbol of Antonio's business empire, Sarah struggled to contain her emotions at the sight of his face.

Scenes of her past with Antonio here flashed through her mind.

But times had changed, and in just a few months, though she remained, the face before her no longer belonged to her lover...

Sarah had thought she was fully prepared to accept that Benjamin was just Benjamin, with no connection to Antonio whatsoever. He was the Harrington family's heir, and she had never had any involvement with him.

Sarah's mental fortifications, built just the night before, crumbled in an instant. How was she supposed to stay calm in the face of that face?

"Ms. Miller..." Count was the first to snap back to reality, noticing Sarah's trance and whispering a reminder.

Glancing at Count, Sarah took the hint, feigned composure, lifted her head, and said with a smile, "Mr. Harrington, your visit is far from a disturbance; we can't welcome you enough.

"Count, please take Mr. Harrington to the sitting room."

Count appeared visibly nervous as she quickly responded and led the way. "Mr. Harrington, this way, please."

Benjamin's piercing gaze lingered on the woman in front of him for a second before he strode off.

Exhaling deeply, Sarah felt as though she had shed all her burdens. However, after only a moment of relaxation, she gathered her spirits and followed.

The senior executives, who had been spectators all along, felt confused. However, it was not the appropriate moment to discuss Benjamin and Antonio's resemblance. Instead, they quietly murmured among themselves before dispersing.

In the sitting room, Benjamin lounged on the sofa. His arm was casually draped over the back of the chair, his legs clad in trousers, crossed naturally. His posture exuded confidence and boldness. It was as if he were born to reign!

When he saw Sarah enter, he removed his hand and crossed one leg over the other.
