Chapter 579 Sarah Was Stunned

"Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom."

She suddenly spoke, instantly attracting the attention of everyone in the private room.

Sarah didn't look at them. She stood up and walked outside on her own.

The gaze of the others followed her for a moment before retracting, and they continued eating.

Benjamin absentmindedly held the spoon, but he didn't take a bite for a long time. Isabella Moore continued to occasionally serve him dishes, her eyes filled with contemplation.

After a while, Sarah still hadn't returned.
Sofia Harris expressed worry, "Why is Sarah taking so long in the bathroom? It's been such a long time, and she still hasn't come back."
Benjamin's brows twitched, but he didn't say anything.
Isabella Moore casually glanced at Benjamin's concerned face and said, "Miss Miller is pregnant now. Could it be that she's not feeling well?"

Just as she finished speaking, Alex instinctively stood up.
"You guys continue eating. I'll go check on her."
For him, this was just a habit he developed from spending long periods of time with Sarah when she was pregnant with triplets.
But he forgot that things were different now.
Sofia Harris nudged him, "Take a break. Do you really need to check on her?"

Her tone didn't reveal anything out of the ordinary, but she scolded Alex with a glance, "Sarah is my best friend, so of course I should go see her. Besides, can you go into the women's restroom?"
Alex used to like Sarah. She wasn't stupid, so she naturally knew.
If possible, she didn't want to like a man who was connected to her best friend.
Even though Sarah never saw Alex as anything more than a friend, Sofia Harris could imagine that Alex had deep feelings for Sarah in the past.
After all, Sarah was such an amazing woman, so it wasn't surprising that anyone would like her.
Otherwise, when Sofia Harris first showed interest in Alex, he wouldn't have rejected her.

Sofia Harris sighed, knowing that Alex's previous actions were purely instinctive.
A tinge of bitterness filled her heart, not knowing when this man would be able to change from such instinctive behavior.
Alex looked a little embarrassed and touched his nose before sitting back down.

He was now Sophia's boyfriend, so such behavior wasn't appropriate.

Sofia Harris didn't say anything more and turned around. As soon as she left the private room, her expression changed and she sighed silently in her heart.
Outside, she found that Sarah wasn't in the restroom but leaning against the handrail of the rotating staircase, lost in thought.
"Sarah?" Sofia Harris waved her hand in front of her eyes. "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? You've been gone for a while, and I'm a little worried."
"Hmm...?" Sarah suddenly snapped back, "I... I'm fine. I just felt a bit suffocated inside and wanted to get some fresh air outside."
Sofia Harris immediately knew what she was referring to. It must be because of that man inside—the onen who looked exactly like Antonio. It would be strange if Sarah wasn't bothered by it.
"Well then... shall we find a place to have a private conversation?"
Sarah thought for a moment and thought it was a good idea.
"Alright, let's go."
The two of them went to the terrace behind the restaurant, where no one bothered them. The gentle breeze was a relaxing touch.

Sofia Harris gently rubbed her abdomen, trying to calm herself. "Sweetie, I'm sure you can feel all of your emotions, so don't be sad."

Sarah smiled. "I'm much better now."

Things had definitely improved compared to before.

Sofia Harris nodded and asked, "So, what's the deal with this Benjamin? Can you tell me?"

"I don't know why he showed up, but from what I currently understand, he's undoubtedly a high-ranking member of the War family," Sarah answered with a bitter smile and shook her head. "I don't know if I should thank him or blame him for allowing me... to see that face in my memories once again."

Ever since he appeared, Sarah hadn't had the nightmare she used to have.

But having hope tormented her even more.

Sofia Harris didn't know how to comfort her, so she held onto her hand, hoping to give her some strength. "But... he looks so much like Antonio. Can there really be two people in this world who look so alike?"

Sarah didn't think so.

Even leaves don't look exactly the same, let alone people.

"I understand what you mean," Sarah sighed. "But he doesn't have any memories of Antonio at all, and his identity as a member of the War family can be traced. As for whether there's something hidden behind all this. I will find out."

She didn't keep anything from Sofia Harris, including her plans for a thorough investigation. She had told her everything.

"I will definitely find out."

Sofia Harris looked at her increasingly frail body and felt a pang of sadness. She gently patted her and said, "Next time you're feeling down, tell me anytime. Don't bear it all alone, okay?"

Sarah, who had almost cried just now, suddenly laughed. "I know, Miss Sophia."

Suddenly, she remembered something. "Oh, I forgot to congratulate you. You finally got Alex!"

Speaking of Alex, Sofia Harris's expression turned gloomy. She turned to the railing nearby and looked into the distance, her voice tinged with sadness. "I don't know when we can be together without holding anything back."

Sarah furrowed her brows. "What do you mean? Did he deceive you?"

"It's not exactly deception," Sofia Harris's smile had a hint of bitterness. "It's just... he hasn't fully let go of the person in his heart yet. Even when we're together, I always feel like I'm just an option to him."

Just like earlier, when Alex instinctively wanted to find Sarah, he completely forgot about Sofia Harris's presence.

Sarah froze for a second, unsure if the person Sophia was talking about was her.
