Chapter 960 Let Her Go!
An tonio lowered his gaze to her, staying quiet for a long moment. His deep eyes were filled with unspoken words, a mix of heartache and guilt.
After a while, his voice, low and slightly hoarse, broke the silence. "Babe... thank you."
Sarah was taken aback and looked up at him.
"What... what did you say?"
"I said thank you, and I love you so much."
Antonio gently caressed the scar with tenderness. "I found out about the kidney donation... Why did you do something so crazy?"
His voice was slow, magnetic, like flowing sand, seeping into the depths of her heart.
Sarah was stunned for a moment. "You..."
She didn't know what to say.
She wanted to ask when he found out, but it seemed pointless. After hiding it from him for so long, being discovered now felt like a relief. At least she didn't have to keep it a secret anymore.
"It's okay. Even with one kidney, I can still be fine. Look, I'm recovering well now, aren't I?"
Sarah licked her rosy lips, carefully watching his reaction. "I kept it from you because I was afraid you wouldn't recover well..."
And with everything that happened with Eden, it never seemed like the right time to tell the truth.
"You're not mad at me, are you?"
"You're such a goof."
Antonio's heart swelled with warmth and emotion, his eyes involuntarily heating up. "How could I be mad at you when I'm so worried about you?"
Sarah looked into his eyes, seeing the deep affection that enveloped her.
In that moment, words seemed unnecessary. The unspoken understanding between them said it all.
They understood each other's actions, knowing the difficulty of speaking the truth. Even the loving lies and sacrifices only made their bond stronger.
She sniffled and threw herself into his arms.
"I get it now..."
"Antonio, I'm sorry!"
"You did so much for me before, and I thought you were hiding things from me on purpose. I got mad over such small things, being petty and causing trouble... I did so many things that hurt you. I really know I was wrong... I won't do it again."
The more Sarah spoke, the more upset she became, tears streaming down her face.
This man... how much had he endured back then?
"It's okay."
Antonio kissed her hair, his voice overflowing with tenderness, as if it were wrapped in honey. "You're the most important. As long as you're okay, I can handle anything."
"And you call me foolish. You're the real fool!"
Sarah was deeply moved, laughing and crying as she lightly hit him.
In the steamy hot spring, their proximity made their skin's warmth seem to transfer, growing more intense without them realizing it.
Her tear-filled eyes looked at Antonio, making his heart race.
His gaze darkened, and he kissed her cheek, moving slowly to her nose, then her lips.
Each kiss was gentle, accompanied by his heated breath.
"Sarah..."
Sarah was still immersed in the emotional atmosphere, not noticing his change.
"What is it?"
Antonio took her hand and placed it on his neck, his deep eyes hinting at a wolfish hunger. He lifted her chin, his hoarse voice tinged with longing. "Don't you think that I, your devoted husband, have been holding back for a long time?"
"What...?"
Maybe?
Since Eden was born, they hadn't had a moment's peace, and with their bodies not fully recovered, who had the mind for such things about love?
Sarah blinked, her wet eyelashes fluttering like little fans.
In that instant, Antonio's desire spread to his very core.
His breath tightened, and he leaned in for a deep kiss. "Can I?"
Sarah didn't speak, responding with her actions.
"Tell me, do you miss me?"
Sarah's face turned crimson, her kissed lips glistening. She bit her lip lightly before answering, "I do..."
Antonio's breath hitched.
"Wait!"
A deafening cry suddenly echoed through the room.
Sarah pushed him away without hesitation. "Nia's awake!"
She hurriedly got out of the hot spring, not even sparing him a glance.
Antonio remained in the hot spring, watching his wife leave, his frustration simmering. He could only grit his teeth.
This Nia... was she a spy sent by Bob?!
How did she wake up at just the right moment!
Nia had slept too much during the day, and now she was wide awake and fussy, refusing to sleep.
Though they didn't get to do much, they had finally cleared up all misunderstandings today. Both were in good spirits and patiently played with Nia for a long time.
Francis knew they had gone to the resort, feeling both relieved and a bit regretful.
He wasn't there to witness the family reunion.
But he believed it wouldn't be long before they no longer had to fear Guadalupe.
His thoughts drifted to Isabella.
He hadn't seen her in days. Did she still remember him?
Thinking of Isabella made Francis's heart skip a beat. He couldn't help but wander to the Valencia Group, hoping to catch her after work. Instead, he stumbled upon a disturbing scene.
"Mr. Lawson, I made myself very clear. What do you mean by this?"
Isabella clutched her bag tightly, staring at Sidney, whose high hairline made his forehead shine. His eyes behind black-rimmed glasses exuded a sleazy vibe.
This was the blind date her colleague had set up last week...
It was absurd!
Sidney adjusted his glasses, smiling at her. "Ms. Moore, I know you said those things because you were shy. I'm a man, after all. It's my job to take the initiative."
He reached out to grab her. "Don't worry, no matter how bad you are at expressing yourself, I'll be understanding."
Isabella was speechless.
She stepped aside to avoid his touch, her patience wearing thin. "Well, thank you for your understanding."
"No need to thank me."
Sidney smiled and lunged at her again. "Come on, I'll take you to dinner. There's a great restaurant nearby. You probably haven't been there, right?"
This time, Isabella couldn't avoid him and was caught.
"Let go of me!"
"Modest bashfulness is charming, yet excessive timidity... isn't good!"
Was this guy crazy?!
"If you don't let go, I'll call the police!"
Isabella hadn't expected him to drag her away, panic rising within her. She struggled fiercely. "Let go!"
Sidney's face twisted with a sleazy grin, pulling her closer. "Let go? Why? You were so pleased with me on our date. You already like me so much, why pretend otherwise?"
"You're insane! I don't like you at all!"
Where did this delusional man come from?
Isabella's panic grew. She was about to pull out her phone to call the police when a cold, stern voice rang out from a distance. "Let her go!"
