Chapter 916 Finally Meeting!

Aaron suddenly felt enlightened, and even his voice carried a hint of excitement. "Yes! I'll go right away!"

Perhaps because he saw hope, Antonio's mood couldn't calm down for a long time.

He just hoped to find Eden as soon as possible, and bring Sarah and Eden back to Capital City for a family reunion. Northwest Ridge was really not a place to stay for long.

That afternoon, with his help, Saul was transferred to a VIP ward on the same floor, with a dedicated caregiver to take care of him, and the cabinets were almost filled with high-end supplements.

When Antonio went to see him, Saul almost knelt on the ground. "Mr. Valencia, you've been so kind to me. We've only met once, why go to such lengths? I... I really don't know how to repay you. Maybe you should take all these things back!"

"I'm helping you because I feel our meeting was destined. You don't need to feel burdened. To be honest, I have a bit of a kidney problem myself, so when I met someone like you willing to donate a kidney, I wanted to show my appreciation. You don't need to feel burdened." Antonio frowned and helped him sit on the chair.

The movement was a bit heavy, pulling at his wound.

"Once you leave this hospital, I can't help you much elsewhere, so consider this a reward from God for your good deed."

Maybe this explanation made Saul feel better, and he let out a sigh of relief. "I have nothing to repay you with, I really feel guilty."

He suddenly looked up, his face serious. "Mr. Valencia, if you ever need my help in the future, just ask! Although my abilities are limited, I will definitely repay you!"

Antonio looked at Saul in front of him, his expression much gentler.

If the kidney donor was really Saul, it should be Antonio repaying Saul.

Antonio added, "But I'm curious, you're still young, with a long life ahead of you. Why did you choose to donate without hesitation?"

After chatting a bit, he found out that Saul was indeed only eighteen years old.

"Well..." Saul lowered his eyes and sighed helplessly, "My grandmother passed away from a serious illness, but I didn't even have money for her burial. I wanted to buy her a better grave."

"It was by chance that I found out someone in this hospital needed a kidney, so I came to get tested, thinking it was a good deed. I didn't expect to be a match."

"But they treated me well, gave me a large sum of money, enough for my grandmother's funeral and to buy the best grave. I'm very grateful to them." Saul wiped his face as he spoke, his smile tinged with bitterness. "My grandmother raised me, but unfortunately, she's gone now, and I have no other relatives."

Antonio listened to his words with a frown, silent for a long time.

It was obvious that Aaron and the others were behind the high-priced kidney search, and they had kept it from him!

No wonder Aaron's reaction was so strange when he asked about the donor's information before, clearly hiding something.

Forget it, considering Aaron was desperate to save him, he wouldn't hold it against him.

But Saul was indeed pitiful.

"So you didn't go to school?" Antonio asked.

Saul shook his head, "I didn't even finish high school, I stayed home to help my grandmother. But she died so early."

As he spoke, he started to sob again.

Antonio sighed, feeling a complex mix of emotions. He thought if he could help Saul in other ways, it would be a way to thank Saul for saving him. "This is my assistant's phone number. If you need anything in the future, feel free to ask him. Don't feel embarrassed, we're friends now, right?"

His long, strong fingers wrote down a string of numbers, and his elegant, mature demeanor made Saul momentarily dazed. The disdain and jealousy he felt before disappeared without him realizing it.

This Antonio seemed genuinely good. He had made a perfect decision!

Antonio handed over the phone number.

Seeing Saul in a daze, he didn't think much of it, just assumed Saul was still hesitant about accepting his help, and said, "You don't need to be so polite, and besides, I might need your help in the future."

Saul's hand trembled slightly as he took the piece of paper. "Okay, you can call me anytime you need something!"

Antonio smiled warmly, "I'll head back now. Rest well, I'll come see you tomorrow."

He needed to try contacting Sarah, wondering how she was doing.

Although Sarah said the signal was bad, it couldn't be that bad all the time, right?

She hadn't replied to his message from last night either. He missed her so much.

After returning, Antonio couldn't wait to call Sarah, but the result was the same as before, unable to connect.

He sighed heavily, unable to resist picking up his phone and sending several text messages, as if only this could ease his longing for Sarah.

He didn't know that Sarah had received all his messages.

Meanwhile, Sarah was resting in the hospital room, with her phone on airplane mode, so calls couldn't get through.

Sarah looked at the continuous messages, feeling a bit amused.

Antonio: [Day three of losing contact with you, I miss you.]

Antonio: [Sarah, I can already get out of bed and walk now, I'll be fully recovered soon. When will you come back?]

Antonio: [I miss you so much I can't eat or sleep.]

Antonio: [Promise me, next time, even if you leave your phone behind, don't leave me, okay?]

Sarah was smiling, but tears involuntarily streamed down her face. Her fingers caressed the words on the screen, as if she could feel Antonio's warm fingertips.

It seemed Antonio had been obedient, which was good.

He was almost fully recovered. So she needed to get better quickly too.

And since they were in the same hospital, there was always a risk of him finding her. Sarah even instructed the nurse to be careful when opening the door.

Two more days passed, and Sarah could finally move around normally.

She quickly had the nurse help her change into comfortable long clothes and pants, ready to see Antonio.

At the door of the ward, Sarah suddenly stopped, looking at the glass on the door for a long time, afraid Antonio would notice something unusual.

As she opened the door, she took a deep breath, unable to control her nervousness.

Antonio, who was talking in the room, turned his head at the sound of footsteps. Sarah saw Antonio on the bed, looking like a wilting plant that suddenly bloomed upon seeing her, with little flowers sprouting on top.

Antonio didn't even realize he was grinning foolishly. He seemed to forget to breathe, only hearing his heart skip a beat, then race faster.

Sarah walked over, trying to stay calm, "What? Don't you recognize me?"
