Chapter 915 No Clues

"Yeah!" The boy's eyes flickered briefly before returning to normal. "I don't have any family anyway, and even if I donate a kidney, I can still live normally. It's no big deal."

He knew that for kidney transplant surgeries like this, there were usually confidentiality procedures, and the donor's information wouldn't be disclosed.

Even if Antonio was wealthy, he might not know who donated the kidney to him.

Antonio stared at him for a while and asked in a deep voice, "If you don't mind, can I ask when you had the surgery?"

He had always wanted to find the person who donated the kidney to him. Even if he couldn't do much, a sincere thank you was necessary.

And since the surgery hadn't been long ago, the donor should still be in the hospital. It might have been this boy in front of him.

The boy's smile had a hint of cunning, but Antonio, eager for answers, didn't notice. "Of course, I don't mind. It's not something to hide. Including today, it's been about eight days."

Antonio's pupils suddenly contracted, and he felt a bit excited.

However, he needed to verify this, so he didn't reveal it on the spot. "What a coincidence."

"Coincidence about what?" The boy asked knowingly. He had overheard the entire conversation between the doctors, including Antonio's surgery time.

Antonio didn't answer, just smiled slightly. "Nothing, just thought it was a coincidence we met here today. Can you tell me your name? Which ward are you staying in? If I have time, I can come and chat with you."

"Of course, my name is Saul Pena!" Saul said excitedly, but then his expression dimmed, and he scratched his head a bit embarrassedly. "But I'm not staying on this floor. I just came up here because the restroom downstairs was too crowded. This floor is for rich people; I can't afford to stay here."

"No problem, I need to move around more these days anyway. I can come down to find you if I have time." Antonio patted him on the shoulder. "It's just a ward. It doesn't matter where you stay. Don't feel inferior. You're still young and have endless possibilities ahead."

"Yeah!" Saul nodded heavily and told him his ward number. "Feel free to come and chat with me anytime. Talking to you makes me feel like you're amazing, a role model for me!"

Saul looked about seventeen or eighteen, very thin, and indeed seemed to be in poor living conditions. Was he really donating a kidney out of kindness, or was he too poor and desperate?

Antonio frowned slightly and nodded. "Okay, but I need to go back and take my medicine now. You should go rest too."

After saying goodbye, they each went their separate ways.

As he turned, Saul's face showed a smug smile.

It seemed Antonio was starting to believe him. Maybe Antonio would contact him soon. Being a benefactor to a rich person, he wondered what that would feel like.

Antonio indeed had suspicions. As soon as he returned to his ward, he called Aaron.

Since the work at the Harrington Group had stabilized, he had transferred Aaron to the Valencia Group to help. Aaron was also one of the special personnel who came to Northwest Ridge with Francis.

After Eden went missing, Aaron had been in charge of the investigation.

"Mr. Valencia, you called for me," Aaron said.

"Yes." Antonio looked up at him and continued taking his medicine. "I wanted to ask if you could find out some information about the person who donated the kidney to me?"

Aaron felt a bit uneasy hearing this.

'No way. Could Mr. Valencia already suspect that it is Mrs. Valencia who donated?' Aaron thought.

But before the surgery, Sarah had strictly warned them not to reveal anything until Antonio was fully recovered and discharged.

Aaron lowered his head, trying to choose his words carefully. "We did some investigation before. We know some basic information, but the medical staff said the volunteer didn't want to reveal their identity, so we didn't pursue it further."

"Okay." Antonio knew about this. "Since you've investigated, just tell me. Is the donor male or female? How old are they? What's their family situation?"

"Well..." Aaron felt very troubled but had to deceive Antonio. "The volunteer is a young man! Poor family, probably has no attachments, so he decided to do a good deed."

In short, everything was opposite to Sarah's situation!

But Aaron never expected that his casual words would match Saul's situation perfectly!

This made Antonio even more convinced that Saul was the donor.

He nodded, not asking further, but a thoughtful look crossed his eyes.

Since Saul didn't want to reveal the donor's identity, he shouldn't disturb him rashly.

But now that he knew, he couldn't do anything.

"I need you to do something for me," Antonio ordered.

Aaron immediately stood up straight. "Mr. Valencia, your orders."

"There's a patient named Saul in ward 314. Move him to a VIP ward, hire a caregiver, and get some good supplements for him."

Whether Saul was the donor or not, Antonio wanted to do this.

If he was, it would be a way to repay him. If not, it would just be a good deed.

Aaron didn't know who was in that room, but he agreed seriously. "Okay, I'll arrange it right away."

"Any news about Eden?" Antonio asked.

"Mr. Valencia, there's no news yet," Aaron replied.

Antonio was stunned. "What did you say?"

Didn't Sarah say the police had news, and she was going with them to find her? Why hadn't Aaron received any news?

Aaron didn't know what he was thinking and answered honestly, "I've been searching the surrounding areas with my team these past few days, visiting all businesses with outdoor surveillance, but found no clues and received no other news."

"The police didn't contact you?"

"No."

Antonio's eyes darkened. He thought maybe they contacted Sarah with uncertain information, so they didn't contact his team.

Since Sarah had gone, there would be results when she returned.

"Continue the investigation as planned. Also, thoroughly check all transportation routes. Eden might not be in Northwest Ridge anymore." He had initially thought Eden, being premature and weak, couldn't be taken far by the kidnappers.

But they all overlooked one thing.

Eden had disappeared with the incubator.

This meant the kidnappers knew her condition well and might have taken a doctor with them.

Antonio's eyes narrowed. "Also, check if any hospitals in Northwest Ridge are missing doctors, especially pediatric specialists!"
