Chapter 678 I'm Going to Find the One I Love

Isabella was suddenly shocked by his gaze, feeling a sense of unease.

Before she could think further, she heard Benjamin's cold voice. "I suddenly left the engagement party this morning because I saw that scene, and a strange image appeared in my mind."

Isabella asked in a trembling voice. "What... what image?"

"Isabella, I remember everything."

Benjamin stared at her gloomily for a long time, and only when her face turned increasingly pale did he slowly say, "I remember that I did have a woman I loved deeply, but that person is definitely not you!"

Isabella's body swayed, and she felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave.

She couldn't help but take two steps back, shaking her head in disbelief. "No... It's not true."

'How could it be? How could Benjamin remember at such a critical moment? In't he supposed to never remember?'

'The doctor clearly said so, he clearly said he would never remember!'

'But if he really did remember, what should I do?' she thought.

Benjamin was very satisfied with her reaction. After admiring it for a while, he continued, "It's useless for you say anything now. Although I don't know who the woman I loved is yet, I guess she might be a classmate from when I studied abroad. We attended someone else's wedding in a church together."

As he said this, his face showed obvious longing.

But deep down, he was thinking of Sarah.

Benjamin had indeed attended someone else's wedding abroad with Sarah, but such a private trip was something Harold and Isabella wouldn't know about.

Although his words were a mix of truth and lies, the emotions in his eyes were genuine.

Isabella was not sure whether to feel relieved or sad.

Although Benjamin hadn't fully remembered, he knew he loved someone else, not her.

"Benjamin, even if you had a past relationship, our feelings are real too!" Isabella grabbed his hand in a panic. "You have to believe me!"

"Believe you? How can I believe you?"

Benjamin looked at her coldly and asked, "Do you believe it yourself?"

Despite feeling uncertain, Isabella still forced herself to stay calm. "I believe it."

"But I don't!"

Benjamin suddenly shook off her hand, ignoring the tears on her face.

"I will go back to school and find the woman I loved the most back then. As for you," his eyes turned cold as he finished his sentence, "you will have nothing to do with me anymore!"

With that, he turned and left without any hesitation.

"Benjamin!" Isabella desperately tried to stop him, running forward but accidentally tripping and falling to the ground.

Even so, Benjamin didn't look back. His tall figure walked further and further away, and she had a vague feeling in her heart. From now on, Benjamin was really going to leave her world.

"No... it can't be!" Isabella lay on the ground, tears streaming down her face, her hands gripping the lawn tighter and tighter, her eyes determined. "He absolutely won't leave me!"

Meanwhile, Benjamin got into his car, and from the rearview mirror, he could still see the black smoke rising from the burning villa.

He indifferently looked away and started the engine.

After driving for a while, as expected, he saw a car following him.

'He is really persistent. The villa is already burning, and he still has the mind to follow me?' he thought.

Benjamin looked away, his profile cold and stern.

He quickly turned the steering wheel, drifting around a corner, then immediately accelerated and stopped right in front of the car following him.

The person following Benjamin clearly didn't expect this move and almost crashed, breaking out suddenly.

Benjamin sat in his car, looking coldly at the other car. Their gazes met.

It was as if an invisible battle had begun, the tension in the air growing thicker and thicker until the sound of fire truck sirens broke the strange tension.

Only then did Benjamin open the car door and step out.

He walked around the front of the car.

Through the dark tinted windows, he couldn't see anything, but from the side window, he could see a man inside wearing a mask and a baseball cap, his head lowered, completely covering his eyes.

A flash of mockery crossed Benjamin's lips, and he tapped on the glass. Noticing the man inside turning his head, he gestured for him to get out of the car.

The man inside hesitated slightly.

But after only a few seconds of thought, he frowned and got out of the car.

Benjamin leaned against his car, and as the man's figure stood fully in front of him, he instantly recognized him.

It was Asa, whom he hadn't seen in a long time.

Benjamin gritted his teeth internally but showed no sign of it on his face.

Impatient and annoyed, he asked, "Why are you following me?"

Then Benjamin quickly added, "Oh, let me guess. Did my dad send you to follow me? Then why didn't you call the fire department when you saw the villa catching fire?"

He wanted to see what they were really up to!

Asa squinted at Benjamin, trying to read something from his face, but failed.

So he awkwardly scratched his nose and said, "Sorry, Mr. Harrington, I didn't see it at first. I only noticed after the fire started."

Benjamin nodded. "That's understandable. I didn't notice at first either."

As he spoke, he suddenly took out his phone from his pocket.

Then, under Asa's puzzled gaze, he made a call.

As soon as the call connected, Benjamin said, "Dad, the guy you sent to follow me is quite to my liking. How about letting him work by my side from now on?"
