Chapter 627 Loving Sarah Regardless of Identity
Rex just came to his senses, then picked up the supplements from the ground with a bitter face.
It's terrible!
Mr. Harrington is definitely going to be angry again!
Before he could think of an explanation, the black Rolls-Royce in front of him suddenly turned on its headlights and drove off the moment the engine roared to life.
Rex frantically called out, "Mr. Harrington!"
He hasn't gotten in the car yet!
Benjamin floored the gas pedal, and the luxury car sped through the city overpass like a flash of lightning.
Even he didn't know what he was doing. The anger and irritation rising from the depths of his heart surged like a flood, giving him no chance to catch his breath.
What kind of magic does Sarah have?!
Benjamin raised his hand to rub his forehead, and that piercing pain came back.
At that moment, the phone in the front passenger seat rang.
He picked it up casually.
It was a group chat created by some of the CEOs that he had previously drunk with, inviting him to drink at Twilight Velvet Lounge. One of them even sent a private message to him.
One of the CEOs messaged: [Mr. Harrington, do you have time to join us?]
Benjamin thought for a moment and then abruptly turned the car around at the next traffic light.
The capital city's famous private club was ten kilometers away, called Twilight Velvet Lounge.
He was in such a bad mood that he drank until the wee hours of the morning, getting so drunk that two others had to take him home.
Isabella was pacing worriedly in the villa and hurried out to open the door when she heard the engine.
Isabella exclaimed worriedly, "Be careful!"
Two wealthy young men were supporting Benjamin as they brought him in.
Isabella frowned and said, "How did he end up drinking so much?"
They greeted Isabella politely, "Sister-in-law, Mr. Harrington drank a bit too much. We might need to trouble you to take care of him."
This was Mr. Harrington's real fiancee and no one dared to disrespect her.
They placed him on the sofa and left with awkward smiles.
She called out to him, "Benjamin!"
Isabella gently pushed Benjamin's shoulder, seeing his well-defined face full of impatience and heavy breathing.
She sighed softly and struggled to help him up from the sofa, saying, "Go sleep in the bedroom, you'll catch a cold sleeping on the sofa."
Benjamin opened his eyes and looked at her.
Fortunately, he hadn't passed out completely and could still walk a few steps.
After going upstairs, Isabella carefully covered him with a blanket, then gently wiped Benjamin's face with a warm towel.
After doing all this, she was already sweating profusely.
Benjamin slept restlessly, his furrowed brow with worry.
What happened today?
Isabella couldn't help but think of Sarah. It wasn't until he encountered Sarah that Benjamin showed such unstable emotions.
So, his heavy drinking tonight must be related to Sarah!
She bit her lip and took a deep breath.
Isabella composed herself and was about to go downstairs to prepare some milk when she received a call from Harold.
She greeted, "Uncle Harold."
She carefully closed the door and deliberately lowered her voice, saying, "Why are you still up this late?"
"Yes, I took a nap in the afternoon, so I'm not sleepy yet." Harold's tone was as loving as ever as he spoke to her, "Is Benjamin not at home? He didn't answer his phone."
She explained, "He had a drink tonight and is already resting."
Isabella knew Harold wouldn't call him without a reason, so she asked, "If there is something you wish to say to him, you can tell me, and I'll pass it on to him when he wakes up tomorrow."
"I'm not looking for him," Harold chuckled twice, then continued, "I'm looking for you."
"Actually, there's nothing special. I just wanted to check on the progress of your acquisition. How's it going?"
Isabella had anticipated this question before but remained silent.
Harold, being extremely shrewd, immediately sensed something was wrong.
He got up from the lounge chair on the balcony, his smile fading.
Harold impatiently said, "Speak."
Although his voice wasn't particularly stern, it was clear he was on the verge of getting angry.
"Uncle Harold," a fleeting look of unease and a hint of barely noticeable grievance flashed in Isabella's eyes, she answered, "Everything was proceeding according to the acquisition plan until a couple of days ago."
Isabella worriedly said, "Even the highly publicized incident online yesterday was in our favor. Benjamin seemed ready to completely settle accounts with The Jerrett Group. Who could have expected that today's public opinion would suddenly change?"
Harold squinted, the shrewdness in his gaze turning fierce.
He questioned her, "Are you saying that the reversal of that online incident is totally true?"
He had initially thought Benjamin was using some strategy, but it turned out he had softened.
She hesitantly replied, "I don't know what Benjamin is thinking."
Isabella sighed, deliberately lowering her voice, "Maybe he has other thoughts. After all, it seems there's something else between him and Ms. Miller."
By the end, her voice was almost inaudible.
Harold's face darkened.
He said, "Don't worry, Uncle Harold will handle this for you. Get some rest for now."
Isabella politely replied, "Alright, Uncle Harold, take care of yourself."
Harold hung up the phone, paused for a moment, and then threw his phone against the wall. It shattered into pieces with a loud crash.
The dim light flickered on his face, casting a shadow of ruthlessness.
Unbelievable!
Even after losing his memory and changing his identity, Harold's son couldn't bring himself to be ruthless with Sarah, changing his mind several times!
Since that's the case, as his father, he would have to step in personally!
At the Valencia family villa, Bob escorted Sarah back to the main building and said with concern, "Ms. Miller, you should get some rest. I'll head back now."
"Alright." Sarah smiled, and appreciatively said, "Thank you."
Bob scratched his head awkwardly with a warm and gentle smile and said, "It's my duty. Next time if someone knocks at night, call me to answer the door!"
She agreed to the suggestion, replying, "Okay."
He left, but Sarah couldn't sleep.
She hesitated for a moment, then walked to the living room to check the online public opinion.
After swiping on her tablet for a long time, she found that the posts unfavorable to The Jerrett Group had mysteriously disappeared.
What's going on?!
Sarah couldn't figure it out and decided to set it aside for now. The truth would eventually come to light.
That would be a good thing if the thing was over.
But as it turned out, calm waters often hide bigger waves, ready to drag you into the abyss if you're not careful.
The next day, feeling fine, Sarah went to work.
Suddenly, James burst in frantically.
James yelled, panicking, "Ms. Miller, something's wrong!"
Hearing his hurried footsteps, Sarah knew it wasn't good news. Seeing the expression on his face made her heart skip a beat.
She anxiously asked, "What happened?"
