Chapter 898 Reunion and Separation

Harper and Ethan remained silent, seemingly deep in thought.

Brian's scrutinizing gaze fell on her, carrying a sense of inquiry. After a moment, he spoke, "No need, Elara. There are professional nurses and doctors over there. My mom doesn't need extra care."

The most crucial thing was, he found Elara very strange.

Ever since she arrived at their home, a lot of inexplicable things had happened. He always felt that having her around wouldn't bring any good.

Lisa felt a bit guilty under his gaze and forced a smile, "Alright then."

Somehow, she felt that Brian's gaze was somewhat sharp.

But since he had already said so, she certainly couldn't follow them. So what should she do?

Lisa was anxious but could only watch as the three kids left, got in the car, and drove away.

They had bought tickets for a flight that afternoon. After a few hours of flying, they arrived at Northwest Ridge Airport.

Brian confirmed the address sent by the company staff on his phone and turned to say, "Let's go. I already know which hospital Mom is in."

Ethan glanced not far away, "There's a taxi over there!"

Harper, excited, looked around and was being pulled along. "Do you think Mom will be excited to see us?"

Brian's lips curled into a gentle smile, "Definitely."

Sarah had no idea about this. She just felt her eyelids twitching uncontrollably today and couldn't help but say to Antonio beside her, "Why do I feel like something is going to happen?"

Antonio replied, "If something happens, it will be good."

Unexpectedly, by evening, they were greeted with good news.

Seeing the three little heads suddenly appear at the door, Sarah even thought she was hallucinating, "Oh my God, how did you get here?"

Harper held her face and smiled with crescent eyes, "Because we wanted to see you!"

Ethan added from the side, "And the little sister!"

Brian didn't say anything, but his expression was gentle.

Sarah and Antonio exchanged a glance, never expecting that they could reunite as a family under such circumstances. They were almost moved to tears and reached out to them, "Come to Dad and Mom."

The three kids ran over joyfully and threw themselves into their parents' arms.

Harper quickly positioned herself in the middle, "Be careful, Mom hasn't fully recovered yet. Ethan, don't lean on Mom!"

"I know!" Ethan pouted, "I just wanted to be closer to Mom."

Sarah's lips curved into a happy smile, and she said softly, "It's okay, this won't hurt me. I also want to hug my babies."

Saying this, she pulled Harper and Ethan into her arms and reached out to Brian.

"Although Mom is very happy to see you, next time you should let us know in advance. Otherwise, we will worry about you, understand?"

Brian nodded in agreement, "Got it, Mom."

Antonio looked at them with tender eyes, his heart filled with Harper's emotions. He asked about the situation at home and then said, "You can't run around here. I need to take care of your mom, so you should stay and keep Ryan company."

Speaking of Ryan, the three kids had mixed feelings.

If it weren't for him running away from home, Sarah wouldn't have come to such a remote place to give birth.

To ensure safety, Ryan was also placed in Sarah's suite ward. Harper turned to look at the other bed. Usually lively, Ryan lay there pale and weak.

She bit her lip and couldn't help but ask, "Mom, is Ryan okay?"

"The doctor said he's not in serious trouble." Sarah sighed, having a lot to say but not knowing where to start. Ryan was also unfortunate. Now that Francis didn't seem to be appearing anytime soon, would he be even more unhappy?

Ryan seemed to sense everyone's worry. At this moment, his hand outside the blanket moved slightly, which Sarah noticed. She quickly asked Antonio to push Ryan's bed over to her.

"Ryan, can you hear me?" Sarah asked carefully.

Ryan still had his eyes tightly closed, his pale little face wrinkled as if trapped in a nightmare, struggling with something.

He dreamed that he was taken away by a bad woman, and Antonio, Sarah, and Harper were all walking in the opposite direction. He used all his strength but couldn't escape the bad woman's control.

"Mom."

Sarah heard the fear in his voice, her heart clenched, and she held his hand tightly, "I am here."

"Mom, wait for me."

In the dream, Ryan looked up at the bad woman holding him tightly and struggled hard. But as soon as he broke free a little, the bad woman grabbed him again.

He had to go back to find Sarah! What if Antonio and Sarah walked further and further away?

And Harper! She would cry if she couldn't find him!

Sarah watched as he waved his hands wildly in the air, his little face growing paler. She held him tightly and turned to say, "Antonio, quickly get the doctor."

The doctor examined him carefully, "In my experience, Ryan likely has significant psychological issues. When he wakes up, you need to be patient and help him through it."

Sarah felt uneasy, "Doctor, how long will it take for him to wake up?"

"That depends on when he wants to wake up." The doctor had never seen such a case before, "He fell into a coma due to a shock, which is his body's protective mechanism. Once he overcomes his fear, he will wake up."

"But you can rest assured, his physical functions are fine."

Harper heard the doctor's words and couldn't help but tear up, but she still comforted, "Mom, Ryan will be okay!"

Sarah held Ryan's little hand to her face, thinking of the helplessness in his voice earlier, and felt a stabbing pain in her heart.

Antonio gently patted Sarah's shoulder, "We're all here with him now. He will wake up soon."

But none of them knew that Ryan's abnormal reaction wasn't a psychological issue. It was caused by Lisa's drug control.

Ryan had been watched by Guadalupe's people these past two days, and they hadn't given him any medication. So the residual drug effects and Ryan's consciousness were fighting, causing his condition to fluctuate and preventing him from waking up, which was also the direct reason for his weakness.

Brian noticed Sarah's low spirits and frowned slightly.

After a moment, he nudged Harper beside him and then walked over. "Mom."

Sarah, lost in thought, looked up, "What's wrong, Brian?"

"We haven't seen our little sister yet. Can you take us to see her?"
