Chapter 614 Din't Make Things Difficult for Me

Bob also became serious, urging her to be the first to speak, "Ms. Miller, go ahead."

Sarah announced, "Starting today, you will be in charge of the Pine Mountain project in collaboration with Harrington Group."

After the events at the estate in the past few days, Sarah felt that she really should keep her distance from Benjamin in all aspects. She shouldn't be swayed or confused anymore just because of his face, which was too similar to Antonio's.

Collaborating with the Harrington Group was crucial, which is why Sarah had chosen to be hands-on in everything before.

But the results seemed to be bad; every time she encountered Benjamin, nothing good happened.

Although Bob was young, he was very capable at work, so entrusting him with this project would be killing two birds with one stone.

Sarah now felt a headache just mentioning this. She took out all the project planning materials from her bag, and simply stated, "In the future, you will directly coordinate with them for anything. You don't need to ask me anymore."

Bob was stunned. "Such a big project, Ms. Miller. Are you really handing it over to me like this?" he asked in disbelief.

"Of course." Sarah leaned back without changing her expression as she questioned him back, "Or do you lack confidence in yourself?"

"I can! Of course!" Bob immediately assured with his hand on his chest, "Ms. Miller, rest assured, I will work hard! I will not fail the mission!"

Bob had received an exceptional education since childhood. From school to work, he had come this far entirely on his own merit, so he naturally had confidence in himself.

Moreover, this was the first time Sarah had entrusted such an important task to him. Both publicly and privately, he would not let Sarah down!

"Alright, take your time to study these materials." Seeing Bob so enthusiastic, Sarah finally breathed a sigh of relief. It felt like getting rid of trouble. She added, "If you are unclear about anything, feel free to ask me."

"Okay!" Bob said spiritedly, "I'll head back to the office now. Ms. Miller, take care at home, and call me anytime if you need anything."

Sarah smiled, and bade him farewell, "Alright, drive safely."

She didn't know how much power her smile held for someone who liked her. For example, at this moment, Bob was almost dazzled by it. He felt full of energy, grabbed the files on the sofa, and left the house.

He decided that whether it was the Pine Mountain project or any future projects, he would give Sarah the most satisfactory results and become her most understanding partner!

Just as he drove out of the villa's gate, several black Mercedes suddenly rushed out from both sides of the road, blocking Bob's way.

"Who's there!" Bob was in a good mood, even singing a song. Seeing this, he had to frown, unbuckle his seatbelt, and get out of the car to see who was stopping him.

At this moment, the people on the other side also got out of their cars. They were all dressed in black suits, well-trained, quickly lined up, expressionless, and wearing black sunglasses.

Bob suddenly had a bad feeling.

Run!

Before he could take a step, a middle-aged voice with a smile came from behind, "Mr. Morrison, where are you going again?"

Bob's face grimaced, and when he turned around, he put on a fake smile as he greeted, "Todd, what a coincidence! What are you doing here?"

"Not a coincidence." Todd's smile matched his, and replied, "I'm deliberately waiting for you here."

Bob completely dropped his smile, looking somewhat displeased, "You've investigated me. That's one thing, but tracking me! I've said I don't want to live forever under the Morrison family's wings. I want to live on my own! Don't interfere with my life now, let alone disturb the people around me!"

"Mr. Bob!" Todd sighed helplessly, and urged him, "I have no choice. Come back with us and see Mr. Morrison! He's been bedridden with anger for so long, thinking about you every day!"

Bob chuckled, "Is this a new trick you guys came up with!"

For so long, he had tried every trick in the book to avoid inheriting the family business.

The Morrison family's headquarters were not in the capital city but in a city further north. Locally, they were an old family and a leading enterprise with a stable foundation over several generations.

But this generation had a rebellious heir, Bob.

The family had arranged for him to study finance and management abroad, but he refused, insisting on taking the entrance exams himself. They wanted him to graduate and become the CEO of the Morrison family, but he chose to stay by Sarah's side as an assistant.

Bob had only one creed in life, he did whatever he pleased!

In a fit of anger, the Morrison family cut off his financial support, but Bob was resilient and worked odd jobs everywhere.

When Sarah first met Bob on a rainy day, he was on his way to work at a convenience store in the rain.

During these days, he had grown accustomed to living as an ordinary person. So, Sarah never imagined that he would turn out to be Mr. Bob.

To get him to come back home, Mr. Morrison had tried both soft and hard tactics, but Bob refused.

Upon hearing Bob's words, Todd's face was filled with sorrow, almost shedding tears, "Mr. Bob! How could I deceive you with such a thing? Please, come back with me to see Mr. Morrison! Can't you two sit down and talk things through properly?"

"No," Bob ruthlessly refused, "You tell my dad that QuantumForge Technologies Inc., I'm giving it to him. You can take all the research results. The only condition is not to disturb me again!"

QuantumForge Technologies Inc. was a tech company founded by Bob with great prospects. Mr. Morrison had always wanted to intervene in its operations, which was the initial spark that caused the rift between father and son.

Todd was quite surprised; Mr. Bob had previously declined, and yet now he was willing!

Bob noticed Todd's confusion and kindly explained, "Before, I didn't want my hard work to be ruined by you guys, but now..."

He glanced tenderly at the villa beside him.

Bob said, "I have more important things to do."

That was to be by Sarah's side.

Todd continued to persuade, "Mr. Bob, even if Mr. Morrison did something wrong, it was for you!"

Bob grew impatient, frowning. Just as he was about to speak, he suddenly saw Sarah coming out of the villa.

Oh no!

Ms. Miller was coming out!

Bob's mind raced, and he immediately put on a look of distress and helplessness, pleading with his bodyguards.

"Please, leave now! I will repay you as soon as possible. Since you've already taken the house, please don't make things difficult for me anymore!" Bod said with tears.
