Chapter 25 Antonio Cares About Ryan
Antonio didn't just bring Harper back; he also took Sarah home.
Lisa would never let this slide. The Valencia family heir had to be her son, Ryan!
Lisa laughed, but it was that kind of laugh that says, "I'm about to lose it." Her eyes were practically shooting lasers. "Look who it is! Harper's mom, the troublemaker. You think you can snatch Antonio? Get ready for a lesson today!"
She didn't waste any time, charging at Sarah with her claws out, ready to throw down.
Ryan was shaking like a leaf next to the couch, scared out of his mind. Lisa's rage was his worst nightmare, and he wasn't about to get in the middle of it.
But Sarah wasn't the same pushover she used to be. She threw up her hand to block Lisa, her face all fired up with anger.
Seeing Lisa like this made her stomach churn, and all those old memories came flooding back.
Thinking about the past, all those times she and Brady got bullied by Lisa and Lusa, and then Brady getting framed and still stuck in the police station, Sarah was livid. When Lisa lunged at her again, she didn't even hesitate—she slapped her hard!
The slap landed with a satisfying smack, making Lisa's ears ring and her head spin.
Lisa's cheek was on fire. She clutched her face, glaring at Sarah with pure hatred. "You bitch, you actually hit me!"
Sarah's vibe was fierce, her eyes full of disdain and loathing as she stared Lisa down. "I hit you because you asked for it. Even if the cops get involved, it's self-defense!"
Lisa kept calling her a bitch. Sarah really wanted to ask, who was the real bitch here?
If Lisa wanted Antonio, she could have him. Sarah didn't care, but she was definitely going to get revenge for Brady!
Lisa was fuming. "Self-defense?"
She lunged again, looking like a total maniac.
Sarah was worried Lisa might hurt Harper, so she quickly raised her arm to shield her, but Lisa's sharp nails scratched her.
That just made Sarah even angrier. She used all her strength to fling Lisa's hand away and slapped her again, right on that face she cursed every night.
Lisa was humiliated, screaming like a banshee, "You don't know me? Beat it, or I'll kick you and Harper outta Silvercrest!"
They were going at it, and the kids on both sides were scared out of their minds.
Ryan's face went even paler, and he just stood there, frozen.
Harper had already grabbed the phone to call the cops.
In the chaos, Lisa twisted her ankle and, losing her balance, fell right onto Ryan.
Ryan hit the floor and couldn't get back up.
Right then, the door flew open, and Antonio's angry voice boomed, "What the hell is going on here?"
Everyone froze.
Sarah and Lisa stopped mid-fight, startled by Antonio's entrance. The kids were even more freaked out.
Antonio's face was dark as a storm cloud, his cold eyes scanning the room, making everyone shiver.
The air felt like it had turned to ice.
Harper should've been relieved to see Antonio, but his furious look scared her.
For the first time, she thought Antonio was terrifying.
Antonio's eyes narrowed. He saw Sarah's messy hair, and Lisa wasn't looking much better, sitting on the ground with her hair all over the place and makeup smeared.
Finally, Antonio's gaze landed on Ryan behind Lisa.
A flicker of worry crossed his face as he strode over to Ryan. He bent down and picked him up.
Ryan's face was pale, and he was shaking all over, clearly still in shock, but he didn't cry.
Antonio asked, concerned, "Are you hurt?"
Ryan shook his head, his voice trembling, "No, Dad, I'm fine. Don't worry."
Seeing Antonio still care for Ryan, Lisa's hope reignited. She immediately put on a pitiful act. "Antonio, it was Sarah who pushed me and Ryan. They ganged up on us."
She pointed to her swollen face, crying, "Look, she hit me hard. Antonio, you have to stand up for Ryan and me!"
Antonio didn't want to hear Lisa's whining, but if someone had really hurt Ryan, he wasn't going to let it slide!
He turned his icy gaze to Sarah.
Seeing his look, Sarah knew he was blaming her. Harper, standing beside her, got anxious and quickly spoke up, her big eyes full of innocence. "Don't listen to that witch Lisa. She tried to hit me. Luna was just protecting me. If it weren't for her, I would've been beaten by Lisa!"
Lisa shot Harper a vicious glare, then took Ryan from Antonio's arms. She gently touched Ryan's pale face and said resentfully, "Antonio, you know he can't handle stress. Look at what they've done to him!"
Antonio's eyes turned even colder as he locked onto Sarah and growled, "Explain yourself!"
Sarah just sneered, her eyes full of disdain.
Even if she explained, he wouldn't believe her.
Luckily, she had instinctively prepared when she heard the commotion upstairs.
She didn't bother to explain. Over the years, she had learned to speak with evidence and truth.
"You want to know what happened? Well, I recorded everything."
In an instant, Lisa's face turned pale with shock.
