Chapter 664 Come to Our Engagement Ceremony
Everyone looked and, sure enough, it was true!
Mr. Harrington couldn't take his eyes off his bride.
"Mrs. Harrington, Mr. Harrington's probably already thinking about marriage! Anyone who marries a woman as elegant as you is truly lucky!"
Isabella soaked in their words, feeling a rush of joy.
She thought, 'They're right. Who else but me is worthy of Benjamin?'
Just then, Sarah stood at the door.
She thought, 'Why are they here? Are they trying on wedding dresses? Talk about running into the last people I wanted to see while picking something up for Brian! If I'd known, I wouldn't have come!'
Especially when her eyes met Benjamin's for a split second, Sarah felt a strong emotion in his gaze.
Her steps felt heavy, and she didn't want to go in.
Before anyone else saw her, Sarah turned to leave but bumped into Bob, who had just parked the car.
Benjamin didn't even blink, watching Bob stand next to Sarah and smile at her.
Seeing them together made him extremely displeased.
Meanwhile, Isabella was almost bursting with confidence from the store clerks' flattery.
"Benjamin, why don't we go with this one?" She looked up at him and walked over. "You should try on your suit to see if it fits."
Benjamin's expression turned colder. "I don't need to try one."
Any suit would do for him.
After all, he wasn't really going to be with Isabella.
"Alright then," Isabella relented.
Although Isabella felt a bit disappointed, she knew he hated trouble. If he didn't want to try, then he wouldn't. As long as the size was right, he'd look great in it.
She wanted to say more but noticed Benjamin's gaze drifting, not focused on her.
She thought, 'What's he looking at?'
Isabella followed his gaze and realized there were other customers in the store. More interestingly, it was Sarah!
Isabella thought, 'Sarah again, why do I always run into her!'
She was initially very angry but quickly calmed down. Now, Sarah was no threat.
Since Benjamin had suggested getting engaged early, it meant he had made up his mind and felt nothing for Sarah!
The person in his heart was herself!
She steadied herself and suddenly took two steps forward to hook her arm throughBenjamin's.
"Benjamin, isn't that Mr. Miller?" she said this loudly enough for everyone in the room to hear.
Even though Sarah had reached the door, she had to stop awkwardly.
She gritted her teeth, thinking she shouldn't have gone out today!
She turned around and politely nodded at them.
Benjamin frowned, glancing at Isabella beside him, unsure of her intentions.
Isabella stood by Benjamin's side, dressed in a stunning gown, exuding elegance. With a triumphant smile, she said, "I didn't expect to see Mr. Miller here. Since it's such a coincidence, I'll give you the invitation now. I hope you can join us at our engagement ceremony."
She signaled to the store manager, who quickly brought over her bag.
Isabella took out the invitation and handed it to Sarah. "The engagement ceremony is the day after tomorrow. I hope you can make it, Ms. Miller."
Sarah already knew their engagement was moved up, so she wasn't surprised. She smiled politely as she accepted it. "Ms. Moore, if I'm free, I'll definitely be there."
Benjamin's face darkened, and he said unhappily, "The day after tomorrow? So soon? Why didn't I know about this?"
"Oh, Benjamin," Isabella gasped, stunned by his sudden anger.
"But didn't you say to leave it to me?" She lowered her head, feeling a bit wronged. "I even asked you before, and you said it didn't matter who handled our affairs."
Benjamin frowned but couldn't say much more.
He just wanted to use this engagement to divert Isabella and Harold's attention, reducing their monitoring and suspicion of him.
He didn't expect Isabella to set the ceremony for the day after tomorrow and find out about it in front of Sarah!
Sarah felt the situation was incredibly awkward.
She tugged at Bob beside her and smiled, "Mr. Harrington, Ms. Moore, we won't disturb you. We'll take our leave."
"Aren't you here to try on clothes, Ms. Miller?" Isabella sounded a bit disappointed as she continued, "I thought we could choose together, but I didn't expect you to leave so soon."
Sarah smiled. "No, we're just browsing."
She decided to go somewhere else and come back for Brian's clothes later.
She really didn't want to stay any longer and quickly walked to the door, with Bob following closely behind.
Benjamin instinctively wanted to chase after her, but Isabella was holding his arm.
Given the situation, he couldn't make his intentions too obvious.
