Chapter 97 Revealing Sarah's Identity

In the hallway next to the banquet hall, Ethan was leaning against the wall, breathing hard. He glanced at the bracelet in his hand, a sly grin spreading across his usually cold face, full of pride.

He thought, 'Antonio, you clueless fool. Didn't even notice the bracelet swap. I'm a genius.'

Inside the hall, the guests' eyes lit up when they saw Antonio, but they were also super nervous, unsure if they should approach him, hoping to get on his good side.

The Valencia Group was a big deal, and everyone wanted a piece of that pie.

But everyone also knew Antonio's reputation, and plenty of folks who tried to suck up to him ended up in hot water.

Tonight, Antonio was acting a bit different, but he only showed a gentle smile when he looked at Sarah beside him. To everyone else, he still had that icy stare.

The guests hesitated for a moment before reluctantly greeting Antonio, speaking carefully and avoiding any unnecessary chit-chat.

Sarah, on the other hand, was pretty chill with the whole situation, keeping a stiff smile and staying quiet.

Suddenly, Sarah spotted a familiar face, surprise flashing in her eyes.

Seeing someone she knew in this weird and uncomfortable place gave her a bit of joy.

Why was Alex here?

Antonio also noticed Alex, his eyes darkening with a flash of strong displeasure.

He instinctively turned to look at Sarah beside him, noticing her eyes were brighter than before. The displeasure in his heart made him tighten his grip, holding her as they walked over.

Alex was rocking a white suit today, standing out among the guests. He still had that elegant and gentle smile on his face, chatting and laughing with the star of the night, Kyle.

Kyle was in a gray suit, slightly chubby but not greasy at all, looking very wealthy. His well-groomed white hair and the wrinkles on his face made him look very kind.

At this moment, Kyle was smiling with his eyes curved, clearly in a great mood.

Alex turned his head and gave his assistant a signal. The assistant immediately brought forward a square object covered with a black cloth.

The assistant smiled slightly, "Mr. Cox, this is a little token of appreciation from our CEO."

As he spoke, he glanced subtly at the guests around him and continued, "This is a helmet used by an ancient general, which our president specially sought out for tonight's charity gala."

The guests were all shocked upon hearing this!

How much would such an antique be worth!

Feeling the intense gazes of the crowd, a hint of pride flashed in Alex's eyes as he unveiled the black cloth in front of everyone.

A transparent glass case appeared before the people, inside which lay a helmet that had traversed over two thousand years, faintly showing the domineering aura of its original owner.

Kyle had seen many valuable things in his life, but at this moment, he couldn't help but be stunned. He then nodded and thanked, "Please thank your president for me, Alex."

As Antonio and Sarah approached, they happened to hear the conversation between Alex and Kyle.

Sarah didn't understand antiques, but she could guess that the item in front of her was definitely valuable, judging by the shocked expressions of the people around.

She tilted her head and couldn't help but mutter, "Who is Alex's boss? He's so impressive, I've never heard of him."

Antonio caught every word, his chiseled face darkening a bit. He stepped forward and cut into the conversation. "Mr. Cox, long time no see."

In front of Kyle, Antonio's attitude was all humble and polite, but he straight-up ignored Alex standing there.

Seeing Antonio, Kyle's old face lit up with an even bigger smile. He walked over and shook hands with him. "Mr. Valencia, it's an honor to have you here!"

Antonio returned a faint smile. "Mr. Cox, you always know how to crack a joke."

Alex, interrupted by Antonio, didn't show any sign of being annoyed. Instead, he smiled at Sarah and gave her a nod.

Sarah nodded back, her smile way more genuine than before.

Seeing the look between them, a cold light flashed in Antonio's deep eyes.

"Of course, I had to show up for Mr. Cox's banquet." As he spoke, Antonio glanced at Sarah beside him and introduced, "This is my wife, Sarah, and this is Mr. Cox, a philanthropist I personally admire."

As he spoke, his hand slid to Sarah's waist, his peripheral vision intentionally or unintentionally glancing at Alex beside him, like he was marking his territory.

Sarah felt a tightness in her waist, deeply resisting inside, but she had to swallow her anger for Brandy's sake.

She looked at the kind-faced Kyle in front of her and smiled gracefully, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Cox."

Kyle had long noticed Sarah beside Antonio and had a good impression of her. He showed a kind smile. "Mrs. Valencia is gorgeous and Mr. Valencia is lucky!"

Hearing this, Sarah gave an awkward smile and was about to say something when Antonio beat her to it. "Yes, I am indeed fortunate."

For a moment, Sarah was stunned, and when she looked up, she met a pair of deep, unfathomable eyes, feeling a moment of daze.

But it was only for a few seconds before Sarah came to her senses and looked away.

She hadn't forgotten why she was here.

The light in Antonio's eyes dimmed a bit, and he signaled James not far away to come over.

He took a palm-sized box from James and opened it under everyone's gaze.

"A small gift." Seeing the item in the box, Kyle's old face was instantly filled with extreme shock! "This is..."

Antonio's eyes showed a bit of pride as he said word by word, "A ring worn by an ancient king."

With that, the sound of gasps filled the surroundings.

Oh my god!

A king's relic!

The discerning eye recognized that in terms of both age and preciousness, this ring far outweighed the helmet!

For a moment, the guests present were either surprised or craning their necks to get a look.

After all, this might be the only chance in their lives to see such a treasure with their own eyes!

And Alex's gentle smile cracked for a moment.

He didn't expect Antonio to be able to get something so valuable.

Kyle was in an extremely good mood, his eyes almost disappearing with his smile. "Then I thank you both on behalf of the poor kids!"

Sandwiched between the three, Sarah didn't understand. She only noticed the staff carefully putting away the old ring and helmet, and glanced at the expressions of the people around her, feeling speechless.

The world of the rich was truly crazy!

After chatting with Antonio for a few words, Kyle went to greet other guests.

At this moment, two more familiar faces appeared in Sarah's sight, and instantly, a trace of annoyance rose in her eyes.

Antonio also saw the newcomers, his thin lips pressed together, his expression complex.
