Chapter 432 Brian Rushed Over

Just as they were fleeing, the bracelet was accidentally lost. After the situation on the snow mountain stabilized, Brady joined Sarah to search for it.

However, they found nothing.

The bracelet had long been buried by the avalanche, its whereabouts unknown.

Sarah felt sad about it for a long time because her mother had told her how important the bracelet was and urged her to keep it safe.

Brady always felt guilty when he thought about this.

"It's all in the past. As long as we're both okay, isn't that enough?" Sarah shook Brady's hand.

He nodded. "You're right. As long as we're both alright and able to sit together and talk about the past, that's the most important thing."

"By the way, how did you find this bracelet? I never thought there could be one so similar to the original."

Although this wasn't the same bracelet her mother had given her initially, it still somewhat made up for her regrets.

"Perhaps it was fate. I was startled when I saw this bracelet too. But since we've found it now, let's treasure it."

Sarah and Brady didn't continue with this topic further. After all, it was a heavy subject that would remind them of sad events.

"Let's eat quickly, and then we'll go home. The children are probably anxiously waiting."

Sarah picked up a piece of boiled meat and passed it to Brady.

He knew very well that Sarah wasn't worried about the children but rather about Antonio. "Do you want to take some dishes back with us?"

"No need," Sarah replied casually. "We have servants at home, and besides, Antonio can't handle spicy food. He has a stomach condition." She paused, a flicker of realization crossing her mind after the words had left her lips.

It turned out that Brady had done it on purpose.

"When did you learn to tease me like this?" Sarah complained.

"What's there to feel embarrassed about?" Brady chuckled. "I wonder if he can take good care of the children at home."

In the villa, Antonio remained unaware that his brother-in-law still harbored doubts about him.

He wore a headband, his hands adorned with marker-drawn watches and rings, while his hair was tied up with several small elastic bands.

Clearly satisfied with her masterpiece, Harper couldn't stop smiling at him.

"Harper, why don't you go play at Century Garden for a while?" Brian reached his breaking point. He couldn't bear to be around this version of Antonio any longer.

Harper, who had played enough by now, happily went to Century Garden with Ryan to play.

Ethan held back his laughter but still thoughtfully placed a wet wipe next to Antonio's hand.

Antonio, deeply touched by the gesture, finally found a moment to send a text message to Sarah. Yet, as he reached for his phone, an email notification interrupted him.

Opening it, he was surprised to find a collection of pictures featuring Sarah and Brady.

As he perused the captions, Antonio's mouth twitched.

'Who is this idiot sending these photos? Are they simply bored? Or is this anonymous sender someone who stumbled upon the pictures or intentionally trying to gather evidence to threaten me?'

Antonio's mind instantly came up with a name—Serene.

This inexplicable intuition made him feel as though he was overthinking. Despite Serene appearing different from his recollection, she remained the girl who had rescued him during the avalanche many years ago.

Contemplating this, Antonio couldn't help but furrow his brow. He still recalled Serene as a notably gentle and optimistic girl.

In Antonio's heart, she was like an angel. Although it may sound naive, it was truly how he felt.

In that sea of white, he couldn't see her face, but he knew that she was shining brightly.

Antonio sighed. 'So many years have passed, and people change.'

Just like himself, he was different from before. He had once believed that upon reuniting with the girl who had saved his life, he would marry her and love her unconditionally. However, he ultimately discovered his true love elsewhere.

As for the person he had anticipated caring for, he felt only gratitude, devoid of any further attachments. Perhaps this shift was the result of personal growth.

He sent Sarah a message asking when she would be back and then put his phone away.

When Sarah finished her shopping with Brady and saw the message, she would naturally reply to him.

"Daddy! Have you rested enough?"

Harper jumped over, smiling at Antonio.

He raised an eyebrow and asked, "What are you up to, little one?"

This cunning expression was exactly like Sarah's, and he loved it.

"Ryan said there are mushrooms on the mountain behind Century Garden, and he wants to take us mushroom picking. Do you want to come too?"

Behind Century Garden, there was a scenic mountain where people often went to relax and take walks.

Brian's villa, however, had the best view, and there was a section that belonged to him personally. It was filled with fruit trees, vegetables, and more, specifically grown for the family's consumption.

Naturally, mushrooms were also abundant here; the mushrooms that grew naturally in this environment were the most delicious.

"I'll go with you all."

After all, they were going mushroom picking, and it wouldn't be good if they accidentally brought back poisonous mushrooms.

Saying this, Antonio led Harper to search for the three boys.

The group climbed up the mountain together. Harper carried a small basket and sang a little song about mushroom picking.

Ryan absentmindedly joined in singing with her, while Brian and Ethan continued discussing the growth of vegetation.

Antonio followed behind the children, listening to their voices and feeling the atmosphere around him.

His heart was at ease.

Everyone always said they wanted to live like immortals, but as he saw it, having a wife and children was already a blissful life.

When they arrived at the location, the four children dispersed to start picking mushrooms.

Brian reminded Harper and Ryan not to pick mushrooms with overly vibrant colors.

Antonio also relaxed and leisurely started searching for mushrooms.

However, he didn't notice a snake with its tongue flicking behind him, slowly approaching him step by step.

While Brian was casually explaining to Harper, he turned his head and noticed the snake's movement!

With narrowed eyes, Brian instinctively darted forward and positioned himself in front of Antonio. The snake's mouth opened, emitting a hissing sound as it sank its fangs into Brian's leg. Pain contorted his young face, and he collapsed to the ground.

It was only then that Antonio noticed that there was a snake behind him!
