Chapter 503 "Tipping off your old flame?"
Sarah looked up in shock; she was too stunned to speak. Her mouth opened and closed, but no words came out.
Antonio dropped the ointment in his hand and strode towards Sarah, his expression anxious and distressed. "Sarah, what's wrong? What happened?"
Sarah shook her head, grabbed the photo, and started to run outside.
Antonio quickly stopped her. "Sarah, at least tell me what's happening!"
Sarah was somewhat at a loss. "I..."
She didn't know how to begin. This situation was completely beyond her expectations. How could her mother possibly be Kevin's lover? If... if this was true, wouldn't that make Kevin her biological father? Then where did Serene come from?
Sarah's mind was in chaos. She really needed someone to help her sort out her thoughts, so she decided to just use Antonio.
Sarah pushed Antonio's hand off her shoulder, took a step back to keep a distance from him, and slowly said, "Just now, Mr. Jerrett showed me a picture of his lover..." Sarah paused and said with difficulty, "But that picture looks exactly like my mother."
"What?!" Antonio's face showed the same shock as Sarah's.
"You're saying Mr. Jerrett's lover looks exactly like my mother-in-law? How is that possible? Does she have a twin sister?"
Sarah said annoyedly, "Stop calling her your mother-in-law, and stop trying to get close to me! If you can't say anything useful, just leave."
Antonio choked, "I... I was just making a reasonable guess."
Sarah shook her head, " No, I never heard my mom say that she had any siblings. And I shouldn't say that the picture of Kevin's lover looks like my mom; I should say that it's the same picture as the one I'm holding. It's just that the two people have different names. It's so weird."
Antonio looked down at the picture in Sarah's hand, "Could it be that your mother changed her name for some reason? But if that's true, then what's the deal with Serene?"
Sarah's eyes darkened as she murmured, "Yeah... and what's the deal with me? When my mother married John Miller, she was already pregnant. But whose child was she carrying?"
The two of them fell silent, and the room filled with quiet speculation.
The ringing of Antonio's phone broke the silence.
Seeing that it was James calling, Antonio's eyes lit up. He knew it must be the results of the investigation into Serene's life he had asked James to conduct.
Antonio immediately put the call on speaker, "Go ahead."
James began to explain in detail, but Antonio interrupted him, "Just tell me the key points."
"Okay. I found that the process of Serene and Kevin acknowledging each other as family was a bit strange."
"What's strange about it?"
"They didn't initially recognize each other through strong evidence like a DNA test, but because of a bracelet."
"Bracelet?"
Sarah was taken aback. "James, are you sure?"
James, on the other end of the phone, confirmed, "I'm sure. When Kevin was searching for his daughter nationwide, it was a big deal. After he found Serene, he even set up a charity organization named after Serene, specifically for finding missing children. Some TV stations interviewed Kevin later. He mentioned that he found his daughter through the bracelet. He said this bracelet was a gift to his lover."
Antonio frowned, "Are there any pictures of the bracelet?"
"No, but I remember Mr. Miller also bought a bracelet before his accident, so I found it strange."
Antonio's frown deepened, and his face turned even colder. He ordered in a deep voice, "James, do everything you can to find clues about the bracelet."
"Okay, Mr. Valencia."
After hanging up the phone, Antonio and Sarah looked at each other for a long time, neither of them speaking.

Whether it was Brady's accident or Kevin recognizing his daughter, the bracelet was a crucial link in both events.
If she pushed everything forward - if Sarah was indeed Kevin's biological daughter, then Serene would be an impostor. She knew the bracelet was crucial, so she harmed Brady for it.
If this assumption was valid, it would prove in reverse that the bracelet Brady found overseas was the one Sarah had lost on the mountain!
But she had lost too many important clues along the way, and she could only search for them one by one.
Sarah felt overwhelmed.
Was Mr. Jerrett really her biological father?
Her palms were sweaty; she couldn't tell if she was nervous or scared. She gritted her teeth, her eyebrows furrowed, her face serious. "I need to go to the hospital. Since they recognized each other because of the bracelet, Mr. Jerrett must know what it looks like. I just need to show it to him."
Antonio agreed, "Right, do you have a picture of the bracelet?"
Sarah nodded, "My brother sent me a picture of it; I saved it."
"That's good. We should split up. You go to the hospital to ask Mr. Jerrett, and I will go find Serene to make her explain everything."
After saying this, Antonio handed Sarah her phone, put on his coat with a serious expression, and prepared to leave.
But Sarah reached out and pulled him back.
She tightly grabbed Antonio's collar. Her eyes were incredibly dark, anger was faintly visible in them.
The wound on Antonio's shoulder hurt from the pull, and he took a sharp breath. "What's wrong?"
"Don't go!"
Sarah sharply rebuked, her anger even more intense than before.
Antonio was somewhat confused about where Sarah's anger came from and asked subconsciously, "Why? She obviously knows something about this ; how can we not ask her?"
"What, you think she'll talk just because you ask her?" Sarah scoffed, "You two really have a special relationship."
Antonio blinked in shock. He was speechless, "That's not what I meant, but she must know more than she lets on; should we just leave her alone?"
Sarah forcefully pushed Antonio away and brushed her hands as if disgusted, "Who knows if you're going to investigate her or tip-off your old flame?"
