Chapter 449 My Wife is Amazing!

Antonio gently pinched Sarah's nose and remarked, "He's my son. Whether he forgives or not, having a child like him, who cares so deeply for his mother, brings me immense peace."

Sarah chuckled and replied, "Mr. Valencia, you are a man of great character, and handsome as well!"

Being praised by her, he felt extremely delighted. He then asked, "So, was it him who tampered with the surveillance camera in the study?"

"Of course," Sarah responded, recalling the scene with amusement.

Looking back now, those actions were truly childish. How could they have deleted the surveillance and switched identities back then?

To think that they followed the children's enthusiastic childish behavior. It appeared that despite Brian being a "domineering CEO", he still had a childish side deep within.

"I remember Harper told me that when Brian returned from abroad, it happened to be their birthdays. At the time, Brian wanted to buy many things but couldn't because you had already bought them all. He was angry for days because of that."

Antonio vividly remembered that period. He had gone to great lengths to secure the top designers, chocolatiers, and numerous celebrities, all for the sole purpose of giving the children and Sarah an unforgettable birthday celebration.

Who would have known that it would lead his own son to a difficult situation?

"If I had known Brian was in the country at that time, I would have insisted on bringing him over. After all, it was his birthday too."

He felt somewhat regretful when he thought about this.

"But Brian got his revenge in the end. Initially, I was worried that Ethan had schizophrenia, and we went seeking medical help everywhere."

Antonio burst into laughter at the thought. "In fact, I should have realized earlier that Ethan and Brian have such different personalities. I actually thought it was schizophrenia."

Sarah also curved her lips and added, "Afterward, our anniversary..."

Antonio remembered.

It was the hot air balloon trip he had meticulously arranged, but they didn't even get to see the balloon. He had found it strange at the time, but looking back now, it was all controlled by someone else.

"That was a surprise I had prepared, but it ended up being ruined by my own son."

Observing his regret, Sarah held his hand and playfully shook it left and right.

"I'm sorry. We had so many things going on back then, and I truly forgot that it was our anniversary. If I had remembered, I would have definitely prepared a surprise for you too because that day is important to me as well."

"Forgetting is normal. After all, we have so many anniversaries." Antonio forced a smile. "The past is already over, and there is no point in dwelling on it. Sarah, I feel guilty in my heart."

"This won't do. Isn't your birthday coming up soon? How about I give you a gift?"

He looked up instantly. Too many things had happened recently, causing him to forget about his birthday. "Really?"

"Of course, it's true. I wouldn't deceive you about something like this."

"Thank you, wife. You're so good!"

Antonio moved closer and kissed her face. Regardless of whether he would have a surprise or not, the fact that she remembered his birthday already made him happy.

"Alright, you should go to work. I'll take care of the birthday arrangements, okay?"

Antonio put his thumb up, "I trust my wife's sense of aesthetics."

After he left, Sarah finished breakfast as well.

The children remained asleep, prompting her to retreat to her room and recline once more. As she lay in bed, she contemplated the perfect birthday surprise for Antonio. Though she had pondered this question extensively before, it had been pushed aside amidst the chaos of subsequent arguments, relocating homes, and the incident involving Victor.

Antonio lacked nothing, and she knew that his biggest wish was for them to be together as a family.

Now that this wish had been fulfilled, it was really headache-inducing.

Antonio was so wealthy that material gifts probably wouldn't satisfy him anymore. The more she thought about it, the more distressed she felt.

She absentmindedly picked up the water cup on the table, intending to moisten her throat, but then she suddenly noticed her fingers.

A lightbulb went off in Sarah's mind.

Since their reconciliation, not a single beautiful ring adorned their fingers during this time!

Ever since Sarah's heartbreak, their wedding bands had found their home in an airport trash bin long ago.

The rings they once possessed were custom-designed and crafted by Antonio, making them truly one-of-a-kind; irreplaceable by any other set.

Even though his ring remained nestled in the study, its significance had faded away, no matter how one examined it.

Moreover, that ring symbolized their past, holding onto all the sorrowful memories. Thus, they needed a fresh pair of rings to reignite their marital bond.

Sarah thought this idea was a very good one!

This time, she decided to personally design the rings herself. She also felt a strong desire to compensate for the many years she had missed with Antonio.

The design for the ring was already clear in her mind, but she had no intention of seeking assistance from a designer, especially not around Antonio. This was meant to be a surprise for him, and involving anyone else would spoil the element of surprise.

She couldn't go to Brian either; he had been growing too close to Antonio lately. Just last night, they were even sitting together in the study, engrossed in discussion. It wouldn't be wise to risk him accidentally revealing anything.

After much thought, Sarah decided.
