Chapter 275 Sarah Falls Ill

Sarah didn't reply; she simply kissed Antonio lightly on the lips.

Antonio took a deep breath, suppressing his urges, and held Sarah in his arms.

But he didn't do anything.

Antonio pressed his lips together. "Sarah, we're in the middle of nowhere. I don't want to do this here."

Sarah's heart warmed, and she leaned against Antonio's shoulder, her hands around his neck. "Hmm..."

Regaining her composure, Sarah didn't want to return so soon. Instead, she pulled Antonio's hand and took a walk along the seaside.

The rising tide brought along numerous beautiful seashells, shining brilliantly on the blue starlit beach. While holding hands with Antonio, Sarah playfully picked up some attractive seashells, just like a child.

Waves came crashing, nearly wetting Sarah's high heels.

"Be careful, you’re gonna get wet." Antonio pulled Sarah towards him, bending down to carefully wipe off the seawater from her legs.

Sarah looked down at Antonio.

'They say a man looks most handsome when he bends down to tie a woman's shoelaces…

'It is absolutely true. Who wouldn't want to see a man willingly bow his head, lower his stature, and serve them?'

"What are you grinning at?"

Antonio stood up and noticed Sarah's uncontrollable smile. Unable to resist, he pinched her face.

"Annoying." Sarah turned and continued walking ahead, not bothering to pick up those sparkling seashells.

Antonio watched her figure, feeling content like never before.

"Antonio, come over quickly! There are little crabs here!"

Sarah stood beside a rock and waved at Antonio.

"Coming." Antonio walked over and crouched down next to Sarah.

"Do you think their claws are sharp?" Sarah curiously wanted to reach out her hand.

Antonio quickly pulled her back. "No matter how small the crab is, its claws are still sharp. Aren't you silly?"

"They look cute, I want to bring some back for Harper and Ethan. They would definitely love them."

No matter how much girlishness remained as a mother, one couldn't change the fact that they always thought of their children first.

Even if it were just seeing a small crab, their minds would be filled with thoughts of their own children.

Antonio reached out and touched Sarah's head. "If you like them, I'll buy a tankful from the aquarium tomorrow for Harper and Ethan."

Sarah was about to agree but then shook her head. "No, let's all come together and dig them up ourselves."

"We'll come together. You bring Ethan, and I'll bring Harper."

Antonio understood Sarah's intention. She wanted to bring Antonio closer to Ethan. After all, their relationship seemed a little strained at the moment.

"Alright, let's do it together." Antonio turned around and squatted, clapping his hands. "Let's go home. The kids are waiting."

"Wait at home," Sarah said without hesitation, then immediately jumped onto Antonio's back. As her cheek pressed against his broad frame, the familiar sense of security enveloped her once more. She knew this back belonged to her and her alone.

The sea breeze mingled with Sarah's exhaustion, leaving her with a slightly stuffy nose and a touch of dizziness in her head. She attributed it to the medicine she had taken earlier, but she brushed it off, slipping into a deep sleep without much thought.

Antonio could feel the woman on his back gradually breathing evenly, and he tried to lift her but failed to wake her up. He quickened his pace, afraid that catching a cold with the sea breeze blowing wouldn't be good.

Gently, Antonio placed Sarah on the car seat and rubbed her slightly haggard cheek. He couldn't get enough of it just like when they first met. He didn't want this warmth at his fingertips to dissipate with the wind.

When Sarah woke up the next day, her head felt even heavier, and she was lightheaded all over. One side of her nose was blocked.

Ethan knocked on the door from outside and whispered, "Mommy, are you awake?"

Sarah took a tissue out of the bedside table and spoke with a hoarse voice, "Ethan, come in."

As soon as Ethan opened the door, he saw Sarah wiping her nose, and her nose was red from being pinched.

"Mommy, are you sick?" Ethan hurried over and placed his small hand on Sarah's forehead. "Oh, it's so hot. Wait, Mommy, I'll get you some medicine."

While Sarah was pinching her nose again, Ethan brought the medicine and hot water.

"Thank you, my son. Mommy won't kiss you for now." Sarah rubbed Ethan's little face and asked, after taking the medicine, "Sweetheart, did you come to me for something?"

Ethan pursed his lips. "No, I just woke up early and wanted to check if Mommy was awake."

"Oh, I see. What about Daddy?" Sarah's head was still groggy, and she had trouble opening her eyes.

"He seems to be having a video conference in the study."

A trace of hesitation flashed in Ethan's eyes.
