Chapter 928 Guadalupe, Come Out!

Bob, determined to clear his mind, headed straight to the airport after leaving the hospital.

By the time he got home, it was already dawn.

He rubbed his aching head and told his assistant, "You go get some rest. Head straight to the office in the morning; no need to come back for me."

With that, he stepped into the villa. Before he could go upstairs, he suddenly heard the sound of a baby crying from one of the rooms.

Bob paused, puzzled.

A baby? In his house?

Following the sound, he found his mother, Una, and a maid frantically trying to soothe a crying infant in a room on the first floor. Brandon's former confidant, Cody, stood nearby, looking worried.

"What's going on? Whose baby is this?"

Everyone turned at the sound of his voice, surprised to see him back at this hour.

Una, looking distressed, glanced at him before turning back to the crying baby. "Bob, you're back? ... This baby has been crying non-stop since she arrived. Could it be that she's not used to the environment? Poor thing, she's so weak..."

Bob frowned and walked over. The baby was lying in an incubator, bathed in blue light, looking incredibly fragile and tiny, barely the size of his palm.

"Whose child is this?"

... His father was gone, it couldn't be... a secret child, could it?!

Cody nodded slightly and spoke up, "Mr. Morrison, I adopted this child. On my recent trip to Avaloria, I passed by an orphanage and found this baby who had just been abandoned. I felt an immediate connection with her and Mrs. Morrison... so I brought her back."

Since Brandon's passing, Una's mental state had been fragile.

Brandon and Una had always wanted a daughter after having Bob, but due to Una's health issues, it never happened.

This unfulfilled wish had become Brandon's obsession. On his deathbed, he held Una's hand and said he wanted to marry her again in the next life and have a daughter.

Their deep love for each other made Brandon's death even harder on Una, who grew weaker. One day, she expressed a desire to adopt a girl to fulfill Brandon's last wish.

"Yes, yes!"

Una looked at the baby with loving eyes, tears welling up as the maid managed to calm her down with a bottle. "This must be fate... Bob, I'm fulfilling Brandon's wish. This child... maybe he sent her to me."

She believed in God. A priest once told her she was destined to meet a girl with a birthmark on her ankle.

After deciding to adopt, she visited many orphanages but never found a girl with such a mark.

She had almost lost hope...

Who would have thought Cody would find her?

This baby had a small birthmark on her left ankle!

Wasn't this the child Brandon sent back to her?

Bob looked at Una, lost in her own world, feeling both heartache and helplessness. He turned to Cody and said, "Cody, tell me all the details. Where exactly did this child come from?"

The Morrison family's recent troubles had just settled; he couldn't afford any more surprises.

Even if it was just a baby, he needed to know everything.

Cody's eyes flickered. "It all started three days ago."

Since Brandon's death, Cody had been helping Bob manage the company. This trip to Avaloria had gone smoother than expected, and he finished his work early.

While driving through a remote area, the driver noticed a small box by the roadside and instinctively hit the brakes.

"Looks like there's a child up ahead!"

Cody initially didn't want to bother, but something compelled him to say, "Let's check it out!"

To his surprise, inside was a baby girl with a birthmark on her ankle!

For Una's sake, he decided on the spot to bring the child back to the Morrison family.

But the baby was very weak and hadn't been officially taken in by any orphanage, making the adoption process complicated and lengthy.

So, Cody came up with a last resort... to smuggle the baby back without going through official channels.

However, he didn't dare to reveal this, only giving vague explanations.

Bob didn't think much of it and said, "Abandoned, she's a poor child. As long as her origins aren't completely unknown, it's fine. I'll arrange for her to get proper documentation. From today, she's my sister."

With this child around, hopefully, Una would recover soon.

Distracted, he glanced at the frail little girl before looking away. "Since she's been fed, Mom, you should rest."

Bob then left the room.

Cody hesitated to speak. The child wasn't entirely undocumented, but... technically, she was an illegal resident with no entry records...

Oh well, it wasn't a big deal. Her parents probably abandoned her because she was weak and didn't want to raise her. They likely wouldn't come looking for her!

From now on, she was part of the Morrison family!

She had nothing to do with her biological parents anymore!

Meanwhile, Sarah and Antonio had no idea that the daughter they were desperately searching for was about to become part of the Morrison family...

Unable to wait any longer, they decided to head to Avaloria to find Guadalupe immediately.

As the plane took off, Antonio tried to cheer Sarah up, but she forced a smile, unable to shake a sense of foreboding.

She felt that this trip to Avaloria wouldn't be smooth.

After several twists and turns, they arrived in Avaloria's Shadow City.

This was Guadalupe's stronghold, a chaotic yet affluent area known for its famous casinos and underground markets.

Guadalupe was well-known locally, making him easy to find.

Soon, they located his usual casino, only to be told that Guadalupe wasn't there, and his assistant Ramon had been handling things lately.

Antonio scanned the surroundings coldly, his powerful presence intimidating everyone.

"Then bring Ramon here!"

He knew this man.

Guadalupe's right-hand man, who had always been by his side back in the country.

This was Sarah's first time witnessing such a scene, and she couldn't help but feel uneasy. Was Eden really safe in a place like this?

Or...

No, it couldn't be.

Eden must be fine!

She took a deep breath, suppressing her anxiety, and held Antonio's hand tightly.

Soon, Ramon hurried out, shocked to see them there. He greeted them politely, his expression unchanged, "Mr. Valencia, what urgent matter brings you to see Mr. Diaz?"

"Is there any need to pretend in front of me?"

Antonio's face was icy, his gaze like daggers.

"Guadalupe stole my daughter. I'm here to take her back. Now, get Guadalupe out here!"
