Chapter 666 He's Awake!

Sarah went back to the men's clothing store to pay. When Bob came out after changing, he looked relieved to see her.

"Mrs. Miller, did he bother you?" Bob asked.

"No, I'm fine," Sarah replied, chuckling at Benjamin's earlier comment. "He's engaged; what's he gonna do?"

Bob nodded, taking the clothes from the clerk. "Thanks for the outfit, Mrs. Miller."

Even though he wouldn't wear it, he'd keep it in good condition.

Sarah smiled and said, "You work hard; consider it a reward."

After what happened, she didn't feel like shopping anymore. "Later, pick up Brian's clothes for me. Let's go to the hospital first and bring my brother home."

Family was everything to Sarah.

After bringing Brady home, she quickly forgot about Benjamin's odd behavior. He was always unpredictable.

For the next two days, she stayed home, taking care of Brady and spending time with Kevin and the kids.

Benjamin and Isabella's engagement party was coming up. Sarah didn't want to go, but since Isabella had personally invited her, it would be rude not to. Plus, skipping it might look suspicious.

So, she decided to go.

Just as she was about to pick out a dress, Ethan burst in excitedly.

"Mommy! Come quick! Uncle woke up!" he said.

Harper and Ryan followed in from behind, all smiles.

Sarah's eyes widened. The kids' excited screams sounded beautiful for the first time in a long time.

'Did Brady really wake up?' she thought, almost overwhelmed with joy.

"Mommy!" Harper grabbed her hand. "Let's go see Uncle! Brian's with him, and Uncle wants to see you!"

"Okay, let's go!" Sarah said, happy tears streaming down her face.

Brady had been through so much, and now he was finally okay.

Sarah's excitement made her forget all about the engagement party.

At Brady's bedside, the family cried and laughed together for a long time before Sarah calmed down.

She had set up medical equipment at home, and all Brady's indicators were good.

Still, she asked, "Brady, how do you feel now?"

Brady's eyes were a bit red as he looked at Sarah, whom he hadn't seen in ages, and blinked.

He didn't know how long he'd been out, but it felt like forever, like waking up from a never-ending nightmare.

His brain was foggy, making it hard to remember the past, but seeing Sarah, Brian, Ethan, and Harper warmed his heart.

He knew the worst was over. Things could only get better from here.

But he noticed that Sarah looked thinner and her belly was quite big. 'Is she pregnant again? Where's Antonio?' he wondered.

He had so many questions but couldn't speak yet.

Sarah realized Brady probably couldn't talk. The doctor had mentioned this, but with good rehab, he could recover.

At least he could hear now. Things would get better.

She sniffled, laughing through her tears. "Brady, it's so good you're awake. Don't ever leave me again."

Brady saw Sarah's rare expression of vulnerability, just like when they were kids. He tried to move his fingers to hold her hand but couldn't lift them.

Sarah quickly held his hand, leaning against him, and started telling him everything that had happened.

The kids stayed close by, obediently.

There was nothing better than a family reunion.

After a while, Sarah suggested, "Kids, how about we celebrate? Today is a good day because Uncle woke up!"

The kids were thrilled. "Mommy, can Uncle eat now? Can we get him a cake?"

Ryan whispered to Harper, "Uncle can't eat cake, but you can."

Brady smiled slightly at their chatter.

Ethan saw it and exclaimed, "Mommy! Uncle smiled!"

"Because Uncle is happy!" Sarah said, smiling at Brady and the kids. "Uncle is touched you care so much, but Ryan's right; Uncle can't eat cake now, but you can!"

She thought for a moment then said, "Let's get a cake!"

"Yay!" Ethan clapped. "Can we get a strawberry cake?"

They all loved strawberry cake, and so did Sarah.

"Sure," Sarah agreed, then turned to Brady. "Brady, I remember you love the food from Savoury Pavilion. Let's order a few dishes. Even if you can't eat them now, it'll motivate you to recover quickly so you can enjoy them later, okay?"

Brady's eyes curved into a smile. Whatever Sarah said was fine with him.

Sarah nodded. "Then it's settled!"

But the food from Savoury Pavilion couldn't be delivered; they had to travel there to pick it up.
