Chapter 382 The House is Too Eerie

"The toilet is broken. It occasionally happens like this," Ethan nervously said. "Go ahead and eat, Daddy. Weren't you feeling unwell? You shouldn't go hungry."

Antonio had initially intended to investigate, but upon hearing Ethan's words and felt a warmth envelop him. He understood that despite his son's tough exterior, he possessed a tender heart.

"Alright, I’ll wait outside for you."

Antonio closed the door and walked out, allowing Ethan to finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Brian quietly emerged from the bathroom. "Did he leave?"

Ethan nodded and slumped down on the sofa. "Yeah, he's gone."

But who could have expected that the person who left would suddenly reappear?

Antonio opened the door. "By the way, Ethan..."

Seeing Brian, Antonio was a little bewildered. "Did you... wear those clothes just now?"

Brian paused for a moment. "Why do you care about what clothes I wear?"

Antonio hastily said, "That's not what I meant. I was just asking if you wanted to have pizza."

"It's too late to eat, thanks. Please leave. This is my room. Knock before entering."

Antonio suddenly felt bewildered. He realized that entering his son's room without permission had likely annoyed him, so he refrained from pressing further.

"Alright, hurry up then."

After Antonio left, Ethan finally dared to stand up from his crouching position on the floor.

"That really scared me." Ethan let out a long sigh of relief. "Brian, what should we do?"

Brian pursed his lips, "Leave it to me. I'll make sure he leaves tonight."

At that moment, Antonio couldn't be bothered with observing Ethan's unpredictable behavior. His purpose in coming here was twofold—to mend his relationship with Sarah and find out exactly Allen was.

Allen couldn't hide forever. As long as he stayed here, one day Antonio would confront him face to face!

After finishing their meal, Sarah went back to her room and asked Antonio to sleep in the guest room.

Naturally, Antonio obeyed the arrangement. As long as he could stay there, even sleeping in the living room would be fine.

Seeing his compliance, Sarah couldn't help but find it amusing yet saddening.

However, just as Sarah had returned to her room, Brian knocked on the door and entered.

"I was looking for you. Make sure you discuss everything with Ethan, but don't let anything slip." Sarah was worried about this matter.

"Don't worry, Mommy, I know what I'm doing." Brian smiled and sat beside Sarah. "Mommy, I came to talk to you about something."

"What is it?" Sarah asked.

"He had a concussion, right? The bed in the guest room is too hard and not friendly for someone who's sick. You should let him sleep in the room across from yours. The bed there is more comfortable. It's the spare bedroom I prepared for you."

Sarah looked at her son suspiciously. "Are you Ethan or Brian?"

Brian was somewhat helpless. "Mommy, don't you even recognize me anymore?"

"I'm just not used to it." Sarah chuckled. "Why are you so concerned about him today?"

"Isn't Harper the one responsible for this?" Brian sighed. "Anyway, let him go to that room. I don't want to listen to Harper nagging all the time."

"I understand. Why don't you go and tell him with Harper then?"

Sarah ruffled Brian's hair, knowing deep down that it was what Brian wanted.

Still, she couldn't understand why Brian was willing to accept Antonio as well.

As soon as Antonio lay down in the guest room, Brian knocked on the door with Ryan. "Mommy said you should go to her bedroom across the hall. The mattress there is more comfortable for resting."

Antonio lit up. "Really? Sarah said that?"

"Why so many questions? Are you going or not?"

"Of course, I'll tidy up and go right away."

Antonio felt extremely happy, knowing that Sarah still cared about him!

However, Brian secretly smirked.

'Tonight will be interesting!'

Unaware that he had fallen into a trap, Antonio comfortably lay on the bed in the new bedroom.

The mattress was so comfortable that Antonio fell asleep as soon as he lay down.

However, he was plagued by nightmares throughout the night.

He either dreamed of Sarah leaving him or of her embracing a man whose face remained unseen, displaying affection toward him.

He had only slept for five hours but had woken up ten times.

The next morning, Sarah was startled to see Antonio's dark circles under his eyes. "What's wrong with you?"

Antonio was disturbed by the nightmares he had all night.

After pondering for a moment, he solemnly said, "Sarah, I had nightmares all night. I feel like something is wrong with this house."

"Huh?" Sarah was taken aback.

"I'm serious. As soon as I entered this house, I felt tightness in my chest and shortness of breath. I've been feeling nervous. I think there's too much negative energy in this house. Let's go back home. When have I ever had nightmares before?"

Sarah listened attentively to Antonio's words. However, when he began speaking nonsense, she couldn't help but feel speechless. Three creases formed on her forehead.

Sarah collected the tray in silence. "Our children are still here. Don't say such unfounded things. I wonder if our astrological signs are incompatible."
