Chapter 185 We Haven't Seen Each Other in Six Years...

"Hello, J&K Group? I got the job? Oh, great, thank you!"

In the villa, Sarah finally received a phone call and received a satisfactory response from the other end.

After hanging up the phone, she was pleasantly surprised. She hadn't expected to find a job so quickly; she thought it would take some time.

In the afternoon of the same day, when everyone found out that Sarah had successfully found a job, apart from Antonio, both of the children were happy for her.

"This is awesome, Mommy!" Harper excitedly hugged Sarah, genuinely happy for her.

Ethan nodded silently by the side, "Mommy is amazing."

Antonio glanced at Sarah, a brief moment of displeasure flashing in his eyes. But after receiving Harper's eager gaze, he calmly said, "That's great, I'll drive you to work in the morning from now on."

Harper's face brightened, "Daddy can do that today? And he knows to drive Mommy to work? Progress!"

Ethan silently rolled his eyes, "Hmm, not bad today, a mark in the book."

But Sarah, upon hearing this, was taken aback. It took her a moment before she said, "You'll drive me to work? That's too ostentatious, it's not appropriate."

As soon as she said that, Antonio's face instantly turned cold, and he spoke indifferently, "Then go work for the Valencia family."

"Then I won't go." Sarah suddenly lost her temper. They had agreed to respect her decision, so why was he playing this game now?

"Daddy." Harper cautiously gestured to Antonio, indicating for him to be less forceful and more gentle.

Antonio turned a blind eye and took a while to suppress his dissatisfaction. He coldly said, "Then how do you plan to get to work?"

"I'm not disabled, I don't need you to worry about it," Sarah responded irritably. She realized that Antonio wanted her to work for the Valencia family, but she refused to do it.

Looking at the suddenly temperamental woman, Antonio was taken aback. It had been a long time since they had interacted with each other so casually and relaxedly. If they could be like this in the future, other matters wouldn't matter, and it wasn't worth his concern.

After a long silence, he curved his lips, "Alright, I won't interfere."

Watching Antonio's fluctuating mood and his inexplicable smile, Sarah couldn't help but wonder. Just a while ago, she was angry, and now this person was able to smile?

"That's for the best," Sarah said casually, completely unaware that what she thought was anger was actually seen by Antonio as more of a spoiled act.

The previously tense atmosphere suddenly relaxed, and Sarah glanced at the person beside her, looking away only after a while.

She recently discovered that Antonio was like a walking clothes hanger. Although it was hard to tell when he was wearing a suit, she felt he was serious and cold, emanating an aura that kept people at bay. But when he wasn't in a suit, he seemed a little less cold and a bit more indifferent, not as intimidating.

In short, no matter what he wore, he can always wear clothes with a sense of beauty and show his unique characteristics. Sometimes she feels that it's a pity he's not a model.

The next morning, after Sarah finished washing up, she went downstairs for breakfast. She was wearing a khaki suit today, simple yet elegant, replacing her gentle demeanor with a more decisive look. She applied light makeup, making her already delicate face even more captivating.

As Antonio looked up, his eyes met with a woman's gaze. A glimpse of astonishment flashed in his eyes, followed by his dissatisfaction at not being able to see her all day.

After a moment of silence, he softly said, "I'll take you to work later, and Zhang will take the kids to the kindergarten."

"I thought we agreed..."

"I'll park near your company."

Sarah didn't argue when she heard this. It's better this way, to avoid him constantly changing his mind.

Harper noticed and secretly gave Ethan a thumbs-up, then turned to Sarah and said, "Mommy, you look really pretty today..."

"Good girl." Sarah reached out and pinched her daughter's cheek.

After breakfast, the three little ones got in the driver's car and headed to the kindergarten, while Sarah got into Antonio's car...

During the drive, Antonio remained silent, evidently not wanting to send Sarah to another company.

Sarah found it amusing and casually asked, "Why do you insist on me going to your company?"

"I just want to spend more time with you." Antonio turned his head slightly, not hiding his intentions.

Sarah's heart warmed upon hearing this. She knew that Gu Han wanted to make up for the past five years, but she wasn't ready to fully accept him so soon. The events from before left a deep impression on her, not something she could easily forget.

Seeing the woman remain silent, Antonio whispered, "It's okay...I'll pick you up after work."

He admitted that he was a bit impatient, but he didn't want to miss any opportunity to be with her.

Not even a minute should be wasted.

In the end, Sarah reluctantly agreed.

The car stopped near J&K Group, and after Sarah got out, Antonio glanced at the nearby building. He furrowed his brows slightly. How coincidental, it happened to be this company...

J&K Group lobby. Sarah explained her purpose to the receptionist and was led to the vice president's office on the thirteenth floor.

"Mr. Donat will be here soon. He'll tell you what you need to know." The receptionist said before leaving.

Sarah sat on the sofa, waiting for the vice president. Out of the corner of her eye, she inadvertently glanced at the photos on the desk. Her expression froze as she felt a sense of familiarity. Just when she doubted whether she was mistaken, the office door opened from the outside.

A person wearing a black suit entered, his face handsome, with a pair of glasses resting on his nose, giving him a somewhat serious look.

Sarah was taken aback and couldn't believe her eyes, "Asa Donat, senior?!"

Asa looked at her, his eyes lit up!

"Sarah! You...you're my new assistant?"

"Yes, Asa senior. I didn't expect to encounter you here."

Sarah...
It was unexpected.

She had met Asa in college, and back then they would often volunteer together. She thought they would spend their time like that until graduation.

However, things changed when she met Antonio. After being together with Antonio, she rarely saw Asa anymore.

Not long after, Asa went abroad to study.
Since then, they hadn't seen each other or kept in touch.
And now, they unexpectedly met again, in such a setting.

"I didn't expect to meet you here. It has been almost six years since we last saw each other. It feels like such a long time..." Asa adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, sounding a bit regretful.

But deep in his eyes, there was an unfathomable depth...
