Ethan silently nodded and made up an excuse before returning to his room.
Once inside, Ethan asked, "Brian, what do you want to say? I feel like Mommy's not acting right."
"I feel the same way. I'll go ask her. You stay in the room for now."
Brian's expression was very serious. He had never seen Sarah so sad before, and her sudden decision to leave was definitely not right.
Brian came out of the room and sat on the sofa with a cold face.
Sofia already liked Ethan, but for some reason, she suddenly felt like he had changed after going to his room for a while.
"Ethan, how about going to your godmother's house with Mommy?"
Sofia sat next to him, intending to pinch his cheek like before, but she withdrew her hand after looking into his eyes.
'How did this little boy suddenly emit an aura that is similar to Antonio's?!'
Sofia retracted her previous words in her heart. Ethan didn't resemble Sarah at all; he clearly resembled Antonio the most!
Brian pointed to the sofa across, gesturing for Sarah to sit down. "Mommy, please sit down. I have a question to ask you."
Sarah was still very sad, but she suddenly felt confused when she heard Ethan's words. "Ethan, what do you want to say to Mommy?"
"Your eyes are red, and your mood is off. After coming home, instead of finding and speaking to us, you went straight to your room to pack your luggage. After you have finished packing everything, you said that you wanted to take us away. So what exactly happened?
"Did he upset you?"
Sarah was at a loss. 'What is going on? Why do I suddenly feel like the person sitting in front of me is so similar to Brian?!
'It must be an illusion caused by my excessive sadness…'
"Ethan, you're overthinking. Mommy just wants to take you guys out to relax, and it's been a while since Mommy saw your godmother. This is a good opportunity to communicate and bond with her."
"Communicating and bonding will not leave you with red eyes. He still hasn't come back. If you really want to leave, shouldn't you at least tell him?"
Brian caught onto the crux of the matter, hitting the nail on the head.
Sarah felt guilty. "Isn't he busy? I can just call and tell him."
"Mommy is lying." Brian frowned. "He was clearly with you. Why didn't he come back with you? If you wanted to leave and told him, he should have come back to see you off, but he didn't.
"Something must have happened. Mommy, tell me, if he mistreated you, I won't let him get away with it!"
Brian grew more serious as he spoke. 'Mommy must have been crying for a long time. Otherwise, her eyes wouldn't be so red!'
Sarah became increasingly guilty. She had never imagined that Ethan would question her like this.
Even though Ethan and Brian had different personalities, when they were always together before, they never seemed so alike.
'How come you still resemble each other after such a long time?!'
Sofia was also taken aback by Ethan's presence.
'Looks can be deceiving, indeed. Despite his innocent-looking face, he has such a strong personality. To push my best friend into such a nervous state, he truly is a formidable little fella.'
Sofia quickly intervened, "Ethan, you see, your mommy and daddy just had a little disagreement. But even for small arguments, we should teach him a lesson. So, we're moving out and enjoying our life carefree."
Sarah looked at her gratefully, saying, "Yes, let's be happy and carefree, no matter what others think."
Brian looked at Sarah knowingly. He knew that Sarah's sudden decision to move out wasn't that simple. But it was exactly what he wanted. He had been longing for Antonio to show his true colors. Seeing Sarah so distressed showed Antonio's true nature.
'He is aad guy! I will take Mommy away now!'
"Alright, let's pack up and move!" Brian decisively gave the order and immediately directed Harper to start packing.
Ryan, looked at them speechlessly from the side. 'What happened? Why are they saying they're leaving just like that?'
