Chapter 255 Who Is So Capable?
The village chief's eyes expressed obvious concern, but Sarah and Antonio held each other's hands tightly, looking resolute as they faced the village chief.
"We have to try! Our children are still waiting for us!"
Upon hearing them mention the children, the village chief nodded.
In the past, many villagers would venture out to the distant seas in search of their children, even risking their lives to try their luck.
It seemed that a parent's love could still overcome all difficulties as usual. Without further questioning, the village chief gestured for Sarah and Antonio to follow him.
Soon, they arrived at a warehouse on the island and went inside, where they saw a large sailboat.
While they had been asking along the way, many kind-hearted villagers had already secretly followed them.
Upon successfully borrowing the boat, everyone silently came forward to assist in pushing it, including Richard, who went unnoticed by the group.
"You can take this boat, but it hasn't been used for many years, and some parts are showing signs of age..."
"This is already great, thank you."
Antonio expressed his gratitude sincerely, then began inspecting and repairing the boat.
At first, Sarah wanted to help, but she realized she couldn't be of any assistance, so she slowly fell asleep, comforted by Antonio's coaxing.
Sarah curled up in a corner of the boat, sleeping soundly.
Meanwhile, Richard brought some bedding for her and kept silent as he placed it on the boat, knowing that Antonio wouldn't want to see him.
Antonio covered Sarah with the blanket and glanced at Richard, noticing that his expression remained unchanging. Antonio refrained from saying anything more.
The entire night passed.
When Sarah woke up, she found herself sleeping on Antonio's lap.
Antonio gently tidied her somewhat tousled hair and said, "Awake? Sarah, the boat has been repaired."
"Really? Can we go back now? Ethan and Harper must be worried sick!"
Sarah widened her eyes, mesmerized by the dazzling radiance before her. Antonio seemed capable of anything!
Antonio knew she was delighted but still spoke cautiously, "Don't rush. Let me test it first."
He operated the boat and attempted to navigate, only to discover that the boat had no issues.
"We can go back now."
Turning his head, Antonio looked at Sarah with unwavering certainty. Sarah's eyes welled up with tears, moved beyond words. After so many days, she could finally reunite with her children!
When Richard's family heard that their boat was repaired and they were leaving, they couldn't help but feel a little reluctant. They brought breakfast and repeatedly reminded them to stay safe.
They even specially prepared enough water and food for them.
"Thank you, everyone."
Witnessing everyone's efforts for their sake, Sarah couldn't help but feel touched.
Upon hearing the news of their departure, many villagers also came to bid farewell, giving them some gifts. It was with a heavy heart that Sarah had to say goodbye to everyone.
Later, Sarah prepared to accompany Antonio to pack up and depart. Just as they were ready to move, the thunderous roar of a helicopter filled the sky.
Antonio and Sarah glanced upward and spotted a helicopter hovering above them.
Meanwhile, Harper, clad in a safety rope and goggles, stood at the edge and looked down with excitement at Sarah and Antonio, waving her hands energetically.
The helicopter landed, and tears welled up in Harper's eyes as she dashed straight into Sarah's arms.
"Daddy, Mommy!"
After enduring the ordeal, Sarah was instantly shocked and overjoyed when she saw her child, whom she had worried about day and night, appear before her from the sky.
She held Harper tightly and sobbed tears of relief and happiness. "Harper, how did you come here?"
"I came to be Mommy's big hero and save Mommy!" Harper hugged Sarah's neck, tears streaming down her face, but still smiling brightly. "Mommy, I missed you so much!"
The heartwarming scene softened Antonio's expression. However, doubts arose in his mind when he saw the helicopter didn't belong to the Valencia family. He furrowed his brows and walked over, embracing Harper as well. "Sweetheart, how did you know where Daddy and Mommy were?"
Harper immediately nestled into her father's embrace. "Daddy, Mommy and I have a spiritual connection, so of course, I could find you! Even if you were on another planet, I would find you!"
After speaking, Harper noticed the bandages wrapped around Antonio and quickly expressed her concern, "Daddy, are you okay? Where are you injured? Is it serious?"
Though deeply moved, Antonio remained rational. "And this helicopter? Is it also a product of our spiritual connection?"
Antonio found it amusing in his heart. Did Harper really take him for a fool? Being able to secure a flight route in such a short time was definitely not something an ordinary person could do. How could she possibly know such a person?
