Chapter 69 The Blade Pierces Sarah's Heart

"Help!" Harper's voice was shaky, her face all red and streaked with tears.

One of her feet was tied up, and she was hanging upside down, too scared to even peek below. The rope was so thin, she felt like she could drop any second and be smashed to bits.

Lusa stood by the window, her white dress flapping in the wind, making her look like some ghost in this creepy, abandoned place.

Her laughter and shouts were like nails on a chalkboard, echoing through the forest like some midnight horror show. "Stop right there! Sarah, check out what I got!"

Sarah froze because Lusa was holding a knife! "Lusa, you psycho! This is your mess, don't drag Harper into it!"

Sarah's voice was shaky, her eyes already brimming with tears. She glared at Lusa, her heart pounding like crazy.

Lusa was even more nuts than when she was a kid, and now she was going after Harper!

Seeing this, Antonio stepped in front of Sarah. "Don't just jump the gun; don't set her off."

You never know what a lunatic might do; they had to be super careful, or Harper was toast.

Even without Antonio saying it, Sarah knew she couldn't make a move. The helplessness and panic were eating her alive, and she could only stand there, frozen.

From above, Lusa's wild laughter rang out again. "I'm nuts, so what? Dare to come closer!"

Lusa took a step forward, pointing the knife at the rope.

"No!" Sarah screamed. "Lusa, let Harper go!"

Antonio's face was stone-cold, his eyes blazing, and he asked, "Lusa, what do you want?"

"Antonio's got brains, unlike dumb Sarah here!" Lusa sneered at Sarah before turning to Antonio. "Just get me out of the country and make sure the cops can't find me! Easy for Mr. Valencia, right?"

Antonio's lips pressed into a thin line. When had he ever been blackmailed like this?

But he couldn't just let Harper get hurt.

Seeing him hesitate, Lusa laughed. "Don't you care about Harper's life?"

"Antonio, agree already," Sarah grabbed his hand. "Harper's safety comes first!"

Before Antonio could answer, Lusa grabbed the rope with one hand and pressed the knife against it, threatening, "I'm in a hurry! I see through your delay tactics. Three seconds, or I'll cut the rope and Harper's finished!"

She started cutting the rope, counting down, "Three! Two..."

"I don't wanna die!" Harper's cries echoed through the abandoned factory, stabbing at Sarah's heart. Just as she was about to say something, Antonio suddenly pulled her hand.

Sarah was stunned, and before she could react, a guy in black appeared on the rooftop, smashed through the window, and kicked Lusa away.

Seeing this, Sarah broke free from Antonio and bolted up the warehouse stairs.

She raced to the top floor, heading straight for the window to save Harper.

But Lusa got up and blocked her way.

With blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, Lusa looked even more messed up, her face and arms paler and more scratched up than before. She was totally losing it.

Lusa spat out, "Sarah, why are you still breathing?"

Sarah couldn't hold back anymore and snapped, "You're the one who should be six feet under! Lusa, my life was fine until you and your mom showed up!"

John ditched her and Brady, only having eyes for Sharon, treating the unrelated Lisa and Lusa better than her!

Not only that, Sharon, Lisa, and Lusa acted all sweet and innocent but bullied her and Brady behind the scenes. John didn't believe it and said she and Brady were just making stuff up.

Since then, they got even worse, and she and Brady had no way to fight back.

And now, this psycho Lusa actually wanted to hurt Harper!

Even though Sarah tried to bury that past, the painful memories were still there, especially seeing Lusa's smug face again, making Sarah's hatred grow even more!

But she wasn't the weak Sarah from before. "Lusa, I'm done bowing down to you!"

Lusa shot back, "Sarah, you're a pathetic nobody. I've despised you since day one. You should've been gone years ago, but I'll finish the job today and send you straight to hell!"

With that, Lusa lunged at Sarah, claws out.

Sarah shoved her away and slapped her hard, making Lusa's ears ring. Before Lusa could recover, Sarah pushed her to the ground.

Sarah didn't have time to deal with Lusa; she turned and ran towards Harper. "Harper, hang in there."

Before she could reach Harper, she was violently knocked down, her back slamming into the concrete floor, a painful groan escaping her lips.

Lusa suddenly pinned Sarah down, her hands gripping her neck tightly. "Sarah, if I can't kill Brady, I'll kill you! You have to die!"

Her eyes were bloodshot, her face twisted with madness, making her look even more grotesque, which disgusted Sarah.

She grabbed Lusa's wrists with all her strength, but Lusa seemed to feel no pain, her grip on Sarah's neck unrelenting.

"Sarah, it's all your fault! My plan was perfect, but you ruined my life! Go to hell!"

In a fit of rage, Sarah exploded with immense strength, flipping over and pushing Lusa away. "You framed Brady first; you brought this on yourself!"

Lusa, this arrogant and domineering lunatic, should be locked up in prison to feel what it's like to be controlled and crushed!

Sarah got up from the ground, only to see Lusa quickly pick up the knife and rush to the window. "Sarah, say goodbye to your Harper!"

"No!" Sarah rushed over, but it was too late.

She watched Harper fall, the cries piercing her heart like a sharp blade!

In that moment, Sarah's rationality crumbled, freezing her in place as if her soul had been ripped away.

Seeing Harper fall, Antonio was instantly terrified, the fear of loss overwhelming him!

He dashed forward, only wanting to catch the rapidly falling Harper.

From nearly 30 feet high, even though Harper was just a kid, the force of the fall was terrifying. But Antonio didn't care about that; he had only one thought in his mind: He must save Harper. He couldn't let anything happen to her!
