Chapter 935 Can't Even Protect His Own Daughter

Antonio's words were ice-cold.

Bob paused, shocked that Antonio had picked up the phone. Then he let out a bitter laugh. "Antonio, do you even know what respect is anymore? Why are you answering Sarah's calls?"

The pretense of civility was gone; there was no need for fake politeness.

He'd wanted to curse this guy out for ages!

"Why?" Antonio's laugh was just as cold. "You want a reason? Fine. Sarah and I are married. No secrets between us. Happy now?"

"Married?!" Bob's anger flared. "You don't deserve her!"

"That's not for you to decide!"

Antonio shot back, "Or do you think it's noble to obsess over a married woman? The Morrison Family sure has some nerve. Where the hell is your manner?"

"I can't stand scum like you, hiding behind the title of husband, making innocent people live in fear and misery!"

If it weren't for him, Sarah would be living a carefree life!

Not like now.

Her body broken, wandering from place to place!

The more Bob thought about it, the more he wanted to drag this worthless man out and beat him up!

"I'm telling you, I've given you chances, but now... I'm taking charge of Sarah's affairs! I won't let her suffer with you anymore!"

Antonio stayed seated on the couch, listening to Bob's rant. The coldness radiating from him made the room feel like a freezer.

His jaw tightened, and he almost ground his teeth as he spoke, "Then let's see if you have the guts!"

"What, you think you can stop me?" Bob laughed sarcastically. "A worthless man who can't even protect his own daughter?"

"Bob!"

Antonio's anger hit its peak!

"I'm warning you, whether it's Sarah or my daughter, they have nothing to do with you! You better stay out of the Valencia Family's business, or else..."

He narrowed his eyes, the coldness in his gaze piercing, his voice carrying an icy edge.

"Let's see if the Morrison Family can protect you!"

Bob let out a short laugh and then hung up the phone.

Stay out of it?

Fine.

Then he had found Sarah's daughter first and waited to see if this man named Antonio would crawl to him for help afterward.

Thinking of the little girl at home, Bob smiled, and his anger dissipated.

He cheerfully opened the car door and sat in the driver's seat.

The mystery would soon be revealed.

Meanwhile, Antonio, in his fury, threw his phone onto the couch.

Sarah came out of the bathroom just in time to see this, looking at him in surprise. "What did my phone do to you?"

"What did it do to me!" Antonio was on the verge of rage, trying to control himself, but his tone was still far from pleasant. "Your phone didn't do anything to me; it's the person on the phone!"

"Who?"

"Why is Bob still contacting you?"

Sarah frowned, walked over to pick up the phone, and checked. It was indeed a call from Bob, lasting six minutes?

She was even more surprised. "I haven't contacted him since last time. I don't know why he called. So what did you talk about?"

Could this endure for six minutes?

And this man was so angry.

Antonio took a deep breath, trying to calm down, but the anger was hard to dissipate, and his tone unconsciously became harsh. "I want to ask you, did you tell Bob about Eden's disappearance?!"

Why would she tell him that?!

"Are you nuts? Why would I tell him that? Why are you taking it out on me!"

Did this guy have too much caffeine this morning?

He was just throwing accusations around, acting all high and mighty for what?!

Seeing her change in expression, Antonio realized his tone was off. He rubbed his temples, trying to calm down, and said hoarsely, "I'm sorry, Sarah... I just didn't expect him to know about this."

And Bob's obvious feelings for her... were hard for him to stomach.

Sarah knew he was feeling bad, but that didn't mean he could take it out on her because of unrelated people!

She pursed her lips, annoyed. "Just because of that, you think I told him? You can investigate, can't others? We knew from the start that this couldn't be kept secret for long."

Antonio froze for a moment, realizing he had overreacted. He reached out to hold her hand. "I'm sorry, Sarah. I shouldn't have been harsh with you. Don't be mad at me."

Sarah had been angry, but seeing him like this, her heart softened.

"Alright..." She tried to pull her hand away but failed, so she let him hold it. "Aaron found the family's address, right? Let's go now and not waste time."

Antonio forced himself to focus, standing up. "Okay... We'll search house by house. We'll find Eden."

The couple maintained a tacit understanding that no matter what happened now, finding Eden was the most important.

Meanwhile, Bob arrived at the Valencia Family's residence.

Ryan opened the car door himself and said sensibly, "Mr. Morrison, come in with me. Everyone will be happy to see you."

"Yeah, I know your mom isn't here. I just wanted to check on you all."

"Then... please keep what happened earlier a secret, Mr. Morrison."

"That's the main point, right? You little rascal?"

Bob looked down at him, smiling. "Don't worry, I'll keep it a secret. It's our little secret."

Ryan scratched his head, relieved.

He held Bob's hand and led him inside. "No, the main point is we all miss you, Mr. Morrison!"

The kids inside were looking for Ryan, and seeing him come in with Bob, they were surprised. "Ryan, we thought you went somewhere, but you brought Mr. Morrison back!"

Bob's face showed a sincere smile as he bent down to pick up Harper.

"Harper, are you happy to see Mr. Morrison?"

"Yeah!" Harper nodded vigorously. "It's been so long since we saw Mr. Morrison!"

It had indeed been a long time.

A hint of nostalgia appeared on Bob's face as he recalled the days he had spent at the Valencia family's residence. He then said, "I'll make sure to visit more often and play with you all."

The kids were delighted, chattering away.

Even Brian was more talkative.

Sofia came out of the kitchen with some fruit, surprised to see him. "Mr. Morrison?"

She had wanted to call him Assistant Morrison but remembered he was no longer Sarah's assistant. The new president of the Morrison Family had made such a big entrance that it was known far and wide.

Bob turned and smiled kindly.

"I was passing by and thought I'd check on the kids."

Sofia knew he used to help Sarah with the kids often, so she didn't think much of it, smiling and nodding. "Then please play with them. I have some work to do, so I won't entertain you, Mr. Morrison. Make yourself at home."

"Thank you."

Bob kept a gentle smile on his face until Sofia disappeared around the corner of the stairs. Then his mask dropped instantly.

Turning back, he showed a more genuine expression, quickly blending in with the kids.
